  1. Big Thunder Mountain at Disneyland Paris, physically my favourite ride in the world, without question. Phenomenal.Robin Hood at Walibi Belgium, phenomenal Woodie with a load of airtime, a great layout and is also quite smooth. Weird restraints though.Challenge of Tutankhamon at Walibi Belgium, physically one of the best dark rides I've ever been on, look it up on Youtube and you'll see why.Agreed on the Mondial Capriolo, great rides Only rode one a couple of weeks ago. Inferno at Terra Mitica, ridiculously short but I really did enjoy this ride.

    Th13teen

I think it was probably to strengthen the queue fences surrounding the "cage" , I remember even on opening day the closest one to it had already been knocked out. Such an epic effect though.
  3. ^ Too true. I do also find it hilarious it is that Chessington can be a bore, and yet Thorpe isn't...
  4. Maybe Th13teen will be getting the same treatment?
  5. It has been a very good year The first year I've visited Chessington the most of any park
  6. Unsure exactly but at least 30,000Nice TR as well , thanks Mark Gutted not to be able to make Scarefest this year.

    Legoland

Apparently an "External Contractor" cut through a power cable... He might be in a spot of bother...
  11. Agreed there Benin, it does seem as if the "tarmac-ing" is happening this closed season, which would be fantastic if that is the case. And again, agree on the toilets front. The reason I didn't just stand and queue was Transylvania toilets, there were so many people I physically couldn't get through. Market Square toilets, 1 cubicle in use and a queue of about 6 people. Didn't even bother looking at the ones under Fury apart from a glance and then finally the Tomb toilets were use-able. Definitely going to be asking for more notice from the 4 year old in future... ;)
  12. I didn't realise until yesterday just "quite" how weak Chessington's infrastructure is at the moment. There's the issue of rain that Mark pointed out, the issue with either of the big 2 being down but...I didn't realise just how poor the South Car Parks were, people were sliding all over the place and I don't understand how the park, in a country of this climate, has got away with it for so long, you would get to your car absolutely caked in mud. Secondly there's the problem with toilets... Yesterday, on a not particularly busy day I had to visit 4 different toilets before finding one without a queue. Telling a desperate 4 year old to "Hold on" is a very difficult thing to do when running around the park. This NEEDS to be sorted. Still had an absolutely phenomenal day though, just these few things are quite shocking really.
  13. Did anyone else find Black Forest Haunt to be disappointing this year?Last year it was epic, and yet this year it was more of a path with lighting. I couldn't believe we walked straight through the "turret" !!
  14. I was also there today and managed an epic day ;)Although some things could definitely have been dealt with better.
  15. I don't know if there is a bus, but really, the walk is really, really short I'm sure you'd be fine, especially in a big group.
  16. Little going on?Ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
  17. ^ Going to agree, the general public DO realise... not all of them, but they do. Go stand in the Peeking Heights queue at Chessington and tell me they don't realise that not all pods are being filled...Also, the Silver Star situation is completely different, running with 2 trains when it could run 3, is a different piece of cake to running 1 when it could run 2.
  18. Haha, of course when comparing similar rides ;)Charlie vs Thorpe's dark rid... oh wait, they don't have one...
  19. ^^^^ Agreed Oh, that explains it, you work at a different park so you quite obviously know Thorpe's maintenance routine... *rolls eyes*
  20. ^ I'd go as far to say it's a bad park ;)But yeah, agree with Dan and a similar situation, visited DLP and whilst Parc Disneyland is a better park, the gap wasn't as big as a LOT of people make out. Although there's always going to those things it's behind on.And people say that the quality of rides is something focused on at Thorpe more. I can't think of one ride I'd take at Thorpe over one at Alton, oh, apart from Rush.
  21. Wow, you either agree or disagree on this topic, very much a marmite subject. I am finding some of the arguments put forward by some members, quite honestly, laughable... By people I respected too.So, Rich, how do you know that without any shadow of a doubt, they are 100% doing maintenance on every ride not running at full capacity? Oh and wasn't the whole point of Stealth having 3 trains, so that Annual Maintenance can be carried out whilst the ride still runs at full capacity?
  22. ^ Interesting points, but in my opinion it is hard to imagine that, very hard. Alton is a much more "rounded" park with attractions for everyone, better theming, better rides and the like, along with 2 hotels and an entire resort. The only reason Corkscrew and Th13teen was a direct swap was because that was the best area for this particular ride, and Corkscrew wasn't doing the park any favours. They've said that in the future it is unlikely they'll do any more removal's for additions, unless they have to.
  23. :)So you've just been undermined by the "top dog" of this site, and your still determined that your right? And yes... I'm the fanboy, all the people I talk to regularly know how much I love the place That's why I've been Thorpe twice this year, and Alton and Chessington 10+ times each. Can't believe I've just been called a fanboy, because I'm disagreeing with how the park was run on this occasion, that's a new one...
  24. Ok Even though it's not just me who have expressed the same opinion as myself, your still right. :PAnd ugh, really will be the last time now.
