  1. Teacups confirmed removal for 2027.
  2. Can I throw Second Detonator Tower in the ring? Would make the repaint make sense, as the second one will be brand new.
  3. Maybe.... there is some sort of higher power after all. Russ would be proud.
  4. The Detty repaint is the most bizarre decision because, even if it looks scrappy (can't say I've ever noticed anyway), does it really matter? It's not like it's a sprawling coaster track. Can only assume it was a case of "we've got this money to spend, let's do that". Rumours that the Inferno station has had some improvements and that the BOSE cannons are working again but we shall see! Talking of Colossus - the repaint of the walls near the bridge to yellow was already looking god awful last season.

We will never hear those beautiful words again.... RED BOAT SIT DOWN PLEASE.
  6. Exactly this... "The RAP queue is as big as the main queue!"... ""It's all booked up for months" Yeah, wonder why that is...
  7. My concern is that 2026 is going to be a "meh" year for attendance following Hyperia not exactly setting gate figures on fire last year, meaning all the more reason for the powers that be not to invest in anything for ages, and thus the cycle continues. I know it was the "good old days" but I was today years old when I learnt that Inferno opened the year after Colossus. Mad. Chances of that ever happening again....? 😆 I hope if but when Rumba goes, like yourself, it doesn't remain SBNO for ages as it's a HUGE area of land, and as soon as it goes we know what's coming next. You can, rightly or wrongly, sort of get away with Slammer being there SBNO for so long, but Rumba no so much!
  8. A real sign of the times, that - shame.
  9. Sonic Spinball had to be rethemed for similar reasons, the allegations that Knuckles filed meant they had to quickly drop the brand in closed season so it's definitely possible they could reopen as just David Land and drop the Walliams.
  10. The talk of Ghost Train baffles me, as it's the future of theme parks.
  11. Tidal Fire Effect confirmed returning?
  12. Thorpe Park now post on the forum under the alias' Jart and Parm Pap.
  13. Marp backwards is Parm.
  14. I complained about this before and got shouted down on socialz saying I should have planned my time better and stopped for 10 minutes to get something to eat 🙃 ...I haven't been to a Fright Nights since, as the idea of paying for mazes and not getting them all done - potentially - I found insane.
  15. This, and this alone, is reason enough for me to never visit Fright Nights on a pay-per-maze basis.
  16. Tidal Wave fire effect is still not working, in case anyone didn't know.
  17. Yep what @JoshC. said - my theory is there is an issue so they are not running it all day so it's available for Fright Nights, all being well.

I know it's not an exact science with those crowd calendars, but that's big difference - and as I said, there are filler rides down this year where as last year there weren't. I can't see them opening for as much of September 2026 as they did this year to be honest, or if they do, they need to be far more aggressive with marketing to get people in and offer an off peak deal. As I said, the Shark Hotel deal is insane value - any "non enthusiasts" I've told have been shocked by how cheap it is. I think you can get even cheaper than £139 too dependant on availability, I've definitely seen £129 for 2 people. Maybe go even harder and do a £99 deal for two people and get those crowds in? They need to do something....!
  19. Something funky is definitely going on with Stealth. It was on one train on 23rd and 24th September, plus the closures above, and now the below also: Cost cutting? Not running it too much to make sure it survives all of Fright Nights? I don't like it - don't hurt her! 🙃

No visible work on Samurai over the last 2 days, and it all appears in one piece, so who knows what's going on...

We visited yesterday (Wednesday) and Tuesday, staying at the Shark Hole.., I mean, Shark Hotel... absolute bargain at £139 for 2 people all in (Shout out to the Vibes breakfast, it's decent!). As reported by the Youtubers etc. - incredibly quiet yesterday and the day previously, with 5 minute queues for Hyperia often (think the most I ever saw was 20 minutes). Stealth peaked at 30 minutes but only because it was on reduced capacity both days. Even with Stealth on 1 train, no Zodiac, no Rapids, no Samurai, no Ghost Train (and on Wednesday - no 4D Cinema too) - for most of the afternoon, all rides were on 5 minutes. The place was absolutely dead, I've never seen anything like it. As much as 5 minute queues are great for re-rides (finally got a Row 1 on Hyperia - Row 2, 1, 2, 10, 2 and 3 if you're asking) and also not having the pressure of trying to fit everything in - is it not a touch concerning JUST how dead it is considering Hyperia is still "new". I went this time last year too mid-week, and it was definitely considerably busier - there was Oktoberfest last year but I don't think that was a particular draw for people....! We don't want a repeat of Swarm-gate with it being deemed a failure and then not getting a new coaster for 12 years...
  22. Close one, I'm going tomorrow and Wednesday!
  23. Paid mazes combined with no "off peak" days killed Fright Nights for me, simple as. Pot luck to your group size and number of actors you will see, therefore experience, with no option to go again. You pay your money and you make your choice. No thanks.

Still no updates on Samurai, with it's position next to SAW, Hyperia & Colossus , it does tend to help suck up those oversold Fright Night's queues, so one would assume they would like it open soon....

Further to the above - it's still closed - probably dead for the rest of the season now, one would assume?
