  1. stealth is great, probable my favourite coaster for a really high adrenaline rush. Anyway, can we get back on topic, you know talking about stealth not someone who only got on 3 rides! If you want to talk about stuff like that exchange MSN details and talk about it on there! Its faster and people like me don't have to scroll through pages of post's just to get the odd opinion of Stealth! Anyway, RANT OVER!!!, I feel better now!
  2. I'll say it again, I never thought telling you what happened on my day on detonator would get this much response. I said it on page 7 and we are near the end of page 8 now. It's funny that you guys have constantly debated this for almost a month! Anyway I will be bringing up more controversial stuff in the future!

    Logger's Leap

I think its because Loggers Leap has a very low through put of guests, whereas Nemesis Inferno has a large capacity allowing the queue to move faster. Looking at the Loggers Leap area there is loads of room for expansion behind the station building! The bigger problem I guess is money.

I agree, the queue is too compact and you barely move, if they had stretched it out more like Saw or Stealth then I wouldn't mind waiting quite so long. I think its beacause if the queue is more spread out then you get a larger feeling of movement.
  5. I agree! there is a speaker at the top of thee tower but its just too quiet, the music was out of time when I went on Sunday, a week ago! I can't believe that the first post that I made on this subject has brought a whole page worth of comments. Its kinda funny, I though I would get one or two, but instead a whole page came!
  6. But it was just a bit of harmless fun, make of it what you will but I believe that it just boosted the rider's overall enjoyment of the ride and park experience. The music when it says 5-4-3-2-1 EXPLOSION is no longer in time anyway so that is already misleading riders!
  7. there was no problem with the ride, just the operator creating a bit of an atmosphere
  8. Look I don't really get what the fuss was, it added to the riders amusement and overall value of the ride. The ride operator was just having some harmless fun with the guests and the riders weren't exactly annoyed, they were scared but not annoyed, and before anyone mentions it, detonator is meant to scare people so the operator was just showing the full potential of the ride. I only posted the original story because I thought you guys might find it amusing. Obviously you took it way too seriously! It was just a BIT OF HARMLESS FUN!!!
  9. Valhalla at Blackpool pleasure beach is quite good, its a good 5 mins long and is basically a indoor log flume with a hell of a lot of Viking theming and fire effects. it has 3 good drops, one of which is backwards and once upon a time went through a wall of fire! I haven't really been on anything else that compares to it except for Phantom manor at Disney Paris. But phantom manor is more of an experience I.e the stretching room and the hall of portraits that change from nasty to nice.
  10. I disagree, there was almost no queue, as I said, only 10 mins, and the operator was just having a little joke, Everyone in the queue loved it and weren't bothered about waiting a couple more minutes to ride. Plus I think that it shows he enjoyes his work, and any employee that is entertaining the guests on top of his actually job wouldn't really get sacked for it. If you had been there, you would have laughed, a guy came down and the only thing you coulf hear was "HOLY S**T"!!!!!!!
  11. I went to THORPE PARK last Sunday and went on detonator. we were in the queue, about 10 minutes away from boarding, and the ride operator sent up the gondola and left it at the top for a couple of minutes. He then spoke into the mic telling the riders that the ride had broken down and that they may be stuck up there for some time. As soon as he had finished speaking, he pressed a button and the gondola immediately dropped. I have never seen so many scared riders, all swearing, come off that ride at once. The next drop he went one step further and played the evacuation music, telling the riders that they would be rescued as soon as possible. They got dropped down 2 minutes later. The operator was laughing so much and the riders were not too happy! XD

Actually most of the catches on the main lift hill dont work and there can be up to 10 metres of space where there are no catches. Even a drop of that size onto a rock solid working catch would hurt and thorpe park would probably make a really big deal out of it and shut the ride until the lift catches are replaced
  13. I agree, Colossus does have the best speaker coverage, SAW - THE RIDE's speakers aren't too bad though. I just hate the way the guy in the queue talks to you. Its in almost a corny way that you can't be bothered to obey him anyway. If you were in the situation that the ride puts you in, there wouldn't be a guy telling you not to take drinks into the building or to turn your phone off!
  14. Back to the original discussion, 2 of Samurai's speakers seem to have blown near loading points 1 and 2 (the left of the ride) Making the audio sound horribly fuzzy and distorted. It made my ride just that little bit worse! And yes, I agree that the entrance theme music is the best, closely followed by the end of day music! <()>

    Th13teen

The new coaster for 2010 (secret weapon six) willbe an intamin coaster. Sanvrooke and many other reliable sites have said this. For the black hole coaster, I have no idea, but it wont be too big or too fancy as it will have to fit insde that tent which isnt incredibly big. To be honest if anything happens to the black hole it will probably be a 3d or 4 cinema or just plain little coaster like space invader 2 at blackpool.
