Have not been to alton as yet, might be going up this summer but I doubt it. Really want to go on this, it looks great theming and family friendly ride wise.

Thorpe in my opinion has some of the best flat rides in the country. it has some great coasters I.e stealth and saw, and the park music is great. However, the music is usually too quiet or the speakers have blown making the audio seem pointless, some rides seem to be there to fill space and the little kids area is humiliating for any small child!The kiddie area annoys me because its the only reason that I cant visit the park with family due to my younger siblings not being interested in the big thrills.And I have to agree with paul, I hate queueline smokers.

I expect up to an hour and a half purely because its a new ride and doesn't have the best throughput ever.

I never use the arcade's because of the ticket thing, I repect that people do, but I would have like there to be something different to an arcade thats all!

OK, I never said the money would have been spent on a new ride, I just dont see the need thats all.If its not broken dont fix it.

To get back to Outfit, are you saying that you would prefer legoland over alton, cos after reading I thought WTF, is this really happening. And personally I think dragons playhouse is a load of toot and wouldnt miss it for the world, whereas if alton were to disappear in a puff of smoke I would be incredibly disappointed. Alton has some of the best rides, theming, and general location than most other U.K parks. RANT OVERTo get back on topic, I dont think sonic fits well as a ride, maybe something else but not sonic, I just dont like it. Much prefer that they kept it how it is and just painted it, it cant cost a massive amount. But with sonic being almost proven, I would like to see a couple of logo's and not much more. I dont want the ride to be ruined by giant blue hedgehog!

I doubt the indoor section, it would be to hard to theme it, I mean 360 degrees of theming and your going to be going passed it at a considerable speed, plus I think it would be better outside, either it all indoors or all out, thats the only way theming is going to work.

It just proves that we need a retheme, if it was done thorpe would be able to advertise a new ride with only the cost of theming, WIN WIN WIN

The ride colours sounds good, but the idea of the retheme into sonic, I just dont like the idea, in my mind it sounds bad. in yours it may be different, its just my opinion.

That would only make it worse!

An arcade seems to me like an excuse to put a coaster on the roof of a building with the possibility of making £20 more per day from penny pushers and grabbers. Lets face it, they should be thinking bout getting anouther arcade if the existing ones are full, not if they are almost empty! Surely there were other options for which this money could have been spent on?

To be honest, why are thy building another arcade, the one just next to the new one has barely ever been half full when I've been. But then again, they must need it if they are going to spend money on it!

I haven't been to alton towers before, but sonic sounds like such a lame retheme in my opinion. The pinball thing is a lot better, even if it does need a little more theming!

I doubt it will have an indoor section, its not a massive ride and an indoor section would have to be themed incredibly well to work. Plus I don't think the plans show an indoor part of the ride, sorry to disappoint!

true, rumba rapids needs to be rougher, considering its at the "Thrill Capital" it needs to be able to give you a thrill, not a calm boat ride!

personally, I think rumba rapids isn't too bad, I want the effects back, but if you look at the viking river splash at Lego-land, Thorpe's looks great for theming! Viking River Splash looks like a concrete river on a hill, its awful!

Even though its taken off another site without permission, its a great fact, something that suprised me considerably.Going a little out of the conversation, but if you go on google earth, you can see the track layout of the inside of saw, when the picture was taken the roof wasn't on the building yet!

It looks like its gonna fall over any second! The theming is great, way better than I expected.Would have been nice to have left dueling dragons with the same name though, but I guess they needed to change it because of the theme.

thats one of the reasons why Rock n Rollercoaster is may favourtie coaster, the theming just never stops. Saw the ride would be alot better with a longer and better themed indoor section and Th13teen will be great aslong as the indoor section lives up to the expectations that we are setting it.

Personally, I dont like the name Th13teen, it sounds a it to easily thought up. The actual ride looks ok, the outdoor section looks quite tame, I'm hoping for the indoor section to be something very special.
