The way I see this is thorpe have just got a massive brush and branded everyone the same with it. May as well literally go up to someone and say, "yeah, you look dodgy, get lost." Not everyone under the age of 18 is automatically retarded, and suddenly become enlightened as the clock strikes 12 on their 18th birthday. As as for them being worried about their rep if something goes wrong frankly it's bull**** and a weak excuse - normal people won't blame the park for some idiot being obviously stupid and getting themselves killed. No one can help those who are just looking for it. Most of the GP understand if someone goes acting like a twit and looking for trouble, that's what they're going to get. No point trying to protect them, if they don't hurt themselves at Thorpe on a ride they'll only do it somewhere else anyway. Some people are just stupid.

To be fair the foundations are actually there for the tower, so I think it will be built.

Just to mix things up I've decided that from now on all coasters built on reclaimed land shall have that land named in a completely arbitrary manner once the coaster is built and we can no longer refer to it as Island C or whatever. Saw's island is now known as Island Fairy-magical-rainbow-unicorn and Swarm's is Island Swiss-cheese-army-knife-mount-broken-snowboard. But for anyone who doesn't want to partake in the new game, Swarm Island will suffice I guess.

Don't think so; it also looks fairly similar to Maurer's, and Vekoma's latest as well. Pretty generic tubular design really.

It's weird, the tent looks huge but it's still hard to imagine a whole new coaster on that plot. Still, Island C never really looked big enough to me so maybe I'm not a very good judge

That first inversion doesn't look as good as The Swarm's either. I'm sure it will speed up a bit but at the moment, not that excited if I'm honest. Edit - Having watched it again and really focussed on it, I don't think it's tragically slow right until the end. Between elements it still picks up a decent turn of speed, and the fact that the inline is so drawn out doesn't help how it looks either. I'm sure it'll ride quicker than we would think watching it. However, there is no denying it crawls up to the brake run at a truly laughable pace.

Yeah, when you think Inferno runs without some of its 'bodyshells' I.e. wheel covers half the time, I imagine they just wanted to make the thing move as soon as they could. Granted adding the bodyshells will add mass and so change how the ride runs a bit, but so will the inevitable wheel balancing, changing weather conditions etc so it's no biggie.

There were rumours flying this morning that Manchester sold out in 50 seconds. Doubt it was quite that quick but probably not far off - when she was here in May last year she sold out the O2 in 3 1/2 minutes so yeah, Twickenham is about 55,000 how they have the seating for this gig so about 7 - 10 mins wouldn't surprise me. No one will beat Taylor selling out MSG in 59 seconds though <3

It probably genuinely is, behind Baco only perhaps. It's ridiculously drawn out but still looks like a fun ride with two zero-gs and an Immelmann.

Things are starting to get exciting! Considering a month or so ago I didn't give a damn about SW7, that's pretty good going That new video does make it look very nice with all the industrial landscaping etc.

Yeah tbh I think it's because I did build it very much in two halves. I'm pretty proud of how the first Immelmann / corkscrew / Immelmann / airtime hill turned out though, just the transition out of the second air hill that I could improve I think. But I'm quite happy for a first serious ride because Newton2 is very hard to learn! I've crossed a barrier in actually finishing something, so onwards and upwards I shall go! Edit - spent the day building a B&M Hyper. It's lush! Perfectly smooth throughout as well, despite seeming a more daunting prospect it was actually easier and more logical to shape and build. After I've spent a few aeons supporting, I'll post a video.
