THE SWARM: Speculation & Theories
Can you start posting like this more often please? This is quite right: The front of the train having gained kinetic energy regardless of how little it may appear (these trains are MUCH heavier than Inferno's or Colossus' let's not forget), then it will probably gain a surprising amount of speed necessary to both complete the inversion slowly but with the right amount of build-up and anticipation. Then of course the more weight off the lift hill means the more speed being built up and (insert engineering babble here). Then the back row will get whipped around and descend upon the rest of the course relatively furiously, as per any ride's back row to be honest, Raptor's back row was a particular highlight of the ride on that first drop, with a bout of airtime rarely seen in a B&M.This is going to have such re-ride factor on a ride which already has that due to the seating style.

THE SWARM: Speculation & Theories
It'll probs really CRAWL through it. Like Hydra at Dorney Park, kind of a similar thing (though the tyre drives in the station will help somewhat). It won't launch though, B&M don't do launches. Hulk is the exception and that was created by Universal's team rather than any B&M involvement.

The lift hill will NOT be launched. At all. Ever.

THE SWARM: Construction Updates
Hmmm, that photo REALLY shows the lack of land Thorpe have for future developments.

Disneyland Paris
Huh? What's the point in that? Just go to them, and then the NEXT new ride gives you an excuse to go again in the future...That logic is just a bit... Lacking...

These seats are REALLY comfy. Like could sit on the ride all day comfy. It's FAB <3 Silly Lauren, no children go to Thorpe Park.

Scaly skin innit.Just like Raptor's.- Parks, Rides And Coaster News
But it's B&M, so will automatically be better than anything like it <3- Disneyland Paris
Bout time they did SOMETHING to that park... So badly designed and really needs something more than Tower of Terror and Rock n Roller Coaster to be any good...- THE SWARM: Construction Updates
Probs hidden in the back of the seats (once again based off Raptor)...So if you're in the front row, no on-ride video... Random, but, what else can they do?- The Smiler
I'm not fussed what we get to be quite honest.Eurofighters CAN be very very good, as proven by Mystery Mine and Fluch, Takibashi looks ridiculous but no-one's actually ridden it really.X-Car's I've only done G-Force and Shock, one is worse than awful, and the newest one is excellent fun.Either way, be it X-Car or Eurofighter, it will either be really good, or really crap. And BECAUSE of the locality to Drayton (and THEIR X-Car) I will plump for Gerstlauer. Alton won't want people coming in, making some form of recognition to something awful and automatically assuming it will be crap. Similarly for Saw in a way but that's quite a hit with the GP.- THE SWARM: Construction Updates
It's like Raptor's trains decided to have rump-pumpy with the Cylons of Battlestar Galatica fame...And LEDs... Interesting, but will they be fixed if/when they break? [/cynical]Back to the Church arguement, it's uncoveredness can be annoying in certain physical aspects, but it suits the post-apocalyptic theme perfectly... So apples and oranges really, sometimes the visual aspect can limit things...- Parks, Rides And Coaster News
The turn on Skyrush made my neck physically twinge. And Cars Land (and the whole DCA redo) looks brill. Nom.Plus most international projects get ignored here. Nothing new.- THE SWARM: Speculation & Theories
The local schools break up a week after I do? WINNING! <3 Bring on the hour long trip on the 23rd!- Jobs At Thorpe Park
Although I'm sure there's another topic based on this, do Thorpe employ 16 year olds these days? Particularly on rides? The website is SO uninformative in their job blurb.Probably better to wait till you're actually 16 if they do, they have applications in the Summer as well, so it's no rush right now.Besides, in summer you'll be expected to work more full-time than part-time.- Europa Park
Whilst I'm not really sold too much on station fly-throughs, I'm sure someone will appreciate this- THE SWARM: Construction Updates
Testing could easily happen, choppa or no choppa.I'm sure Monk's Walk will be aglow with sad people enthuisiasts daily should testing begin now. Or at any time tbh.- Europa Park
ALTHOUGH!TUV (the German H&S mob) have said that due to the lack of seat-belts the bars will lock LOWER than they normally would.Soooooooo riders with large girth (Raptor <3) may have an issue, but a test seat will no doubt appear to help sort it out.Though imo, I remember loads of enthusiasts panicking cos of Raptor having 'tight fittting' restraints, and no-one did the walk of shame. So whatever (it doesn't affect me in the slightest ANYWAY).- Television
Oh sod it was that on again last night? TO IPLAYER!- Parks, Rides And Coaster News
Sexy Dollywood <3- Port Aventura
Indeed they most certainly do suffer from Terminal Velocity, although having not done Hurakan Condor, I cannot really tell... Apocalypse at Drayton is what... Half the height? Doesn't really reach it (in my opinion at least) so you might have the boredom factor by that reasoning, hard to tell because of the smaller size making it more aerodynamic compared to Scream's fat seating ring, might not be as bad... Aside from the possibility of it being an Intamin and potentially killing everyone... ;)As for heading to first, gonna be Dragon Khan or Furius Baco... Maybe Baco first then Khan and Shambalalalalalalala...Probs won't get everything done, unless you don't care about shows... - THE SWARM: Construction Updates
