  1. Oh my god. There was one at Camelot! Death machines! You LIKE this!?!?
  2. Surely they ought to look into getting better systems in place on existing rides to get higher capacity out of them? Also - if they aren't careful they will suffer long term. Guests aren't going to re visit if they're waiting an hour for dodgems or 80 minutes for a car ride...
  3. Right now, Black Buccaneer is 50 minutes. Just, how!?!?!?!
  4. I know Vampire's queue has got worse over the years, but others? At one point the other week Monkey Swinger was showing as 1 hour. I have visited CWOA many times over the years and, whilst there are sometimes long queues, there were at least smaller rides with only 10-15 minute waits. Now, even those seem to be very long, too. You know something is wrong when The Smiler is 1/2 hour and the dodgems at Chessington are double that
  5. I can't help but notice the queue lengths at Chessington these days. I am going on Saturday (for the first time in 12 months) - and often keep tabs on the Queue Times website. There was a time when out of Alton Towers, Thorpe Park and Chessington - it was always Thorpe which had the worst queues. But now, it seems to be Chessington. Each weekend I have a little look and typically rides like Dragons Fury are 80 minutes, Vampire 90 minutes - and today, for example - it was stating that the pirate ship was 45 minutes, the dodgems 60 minutes and Bubbleworks 80 minutes too... Even the Seastorm is 1/2 hour most of the time...!! I don't know if I have ever seen a dodgems with a 1hour wait. It's almost laughable. Is Chessington just getting more and more popular or is there more to it than that? I also noticed that Rameses Revenge and Kobra are closed. EDIT: Queues at 25.5.15, 15:30 Bubbleworks 60 Dragon Falls 45 Dragon's Fury 75 Safari Skyway 55 Scorpion Express 60 Vampire 90 Tuk Tuk Turmoil 45 Zufari 60 Monkey Swinger / Rameses Revenge / Kobra = Closed For the record, The Smiler is currently 30 minutes at Alton Towers and, aside from Stealth and Saw, all rides at Thorpe Park are under 50 minutes. Chessington is a fairly pleasant theme park to visit, but most of the rides aren't really worth waits of these lengths when at most parks they'd be considered 'support/back up'.
  6. The way Heide Park is marketed is so massively different to the other parks in Germany.
  7. I really like Shambhala (the best B&M Hyper I have done out of 4) but the way people speak of it is like it's God's Gift to coasters. Shambhala needs more in the last third. Expedition Ge Force is far more aggressive than Shambhala, which I prefer to the floater airtime on B&M coasters. Mind you, Skyrush crushes every other airtime coaster I have been on. ...and I have been on Boulder Dash but it's an entirely different proposition to a mega /hyper coaster.
  8. Hopefully the next white knuckle ride won't only be about going upside down 100 times in 3 minutes as although it might appeal to some people, personally it isn't for me.
  9. Some people's head don't seem affected by the vibrations. I guess said people are just lucky. Saying that, the layout doesn't do much anyway.
  10. I can't wait for this now! I've never watched IAC but it does sound top drawer now.
  11. I am well aware that the theming will be excellent; but after Die Vliegende Hollander, it would have been great to have something inside given that it's quite a short coaster otherwise.
  12. It's a shame there is no indoor ride section on this.
  13. Disneyland Paris the happiest place in Europe? Not sure beleaguered and over budget parents with tired and wailing kids at 9pm on Main Street USA would agree. [emoji14]
  14. I've never been to this place. Even in the name of 'credits' (a concept I detest) - I will not waste efforts on awful parks! That said, I would like to go on the wooden coaster.
  15. Surely this will open before June?
  16. The village adjacent to Efteling is hideous but there are hotels within walking distance.

    Scarefest

It was getting repetitive although the net quality hasn't declined. I'm glad to hear of refreshes. They're needed.
  18. I agree. I got bored on day two - no disrespect to the park. 1 1/2 is probably spot on.
