Yeah I noticed this as well, chewing gum in the restraints and the trains were filthy, even more so Stealth's which looks like it's been hit with a hammer! Do they not clean the trains? The Swarm's area does not look like it's been jet washed - the floor maybe not not anything else.
-
That's not on at all, why not just limit the numbers altogether instead of excluding loyal customers? (Presuming that this is a crowd reducing measure).

Last year's was quite good, not too busy at all and they extended to 5pm.

I noticed the lack of effects as well, it's such a shame that they install these effects on their coasters and then never bother to use them! The Swarm is supposed to have mist under the plane wing and coming out from under the helicopter, water jets from the fire engine and helicopter, the two water sprays as the train goes past, alien noise in the tower building and under the first drop (currently only plays under the drop), fire explosion, LED's on the train and several other smaller things. The only ones I noticed in Feb half term were the fire explosion on one of the days and alien noise under the drop. It's such a shame that they install these effects and never use them, it was the same throughout most of the 2014 season - for a coaster that relies so much on the theming and experience rather than the ride itself, it's very poor that they aren't maintaining these effects, and it makes you wonder why they bothered to install them in the first place! Also, the theming looks rotten and tired already - it's supposed to look like the crashes have just happened but there's moss growing on the plane, fire engine, church and queueline, the signage is peeling from the billboard and the entire area could do with a jet wash! It really wouldn't take much to give things a clean once in a while, especially considering that it has just been closed for months. For a relatively new ride it's just poor.

If it's due to giving them the TLC they so desperately need then I don't mind as much - if it's to save costs or because they haven't left enough time to finish general maintenance/filling them up then I'm a bit annoyed!

One that you can fit the blasted food on!

I'm not taking pictures of plates, and there's no need for sarcastic remarks every time I make a comment you don't agree with.
-
It's not that much of a silly complaint to be honest, I could think of much less significant things to moan about like the fact that they have tacky cafe tables! Bigger plates would mean less people going up, therefore less queues as well as just generally being less annoying. Also, I thought the whole idea of paying an adult price in a buffet was that you got a bigger plate, that's how I remember it working in Pizza Hut and how I have seen it done everywhere other than at Merlin's pizza pasta brands, otherwise what exactly are you paying more for?
-
They are the same as Chessington I think, but I think the ones at Towers are a bit bigger. I have moaned about Chessington's in the past as well, I don't want massive plates but the ones at the moment are just ridiculously small.
-
Yes obviously you can keep going up, but I see no reason for the plates to be so unnecessarily small that it makes it a complete pain, you either get a choice of pizza, pasta or salad per each plate, as if you try to fit more than one on it's just impossible and ends up going on the table! Why are the plates so small out of interest?

Sunday 22nd February: RIDECOUNT: Stealth x15 The Swarm x11 Depth Charge x1 Flying Fish x1 Braniac Live show x1 We tried the new pizza place today, was quite good although the plates were much too small! Whilst the interior decoration isn't anything spectacular, it's quite nice and much better than the blandness of the new Burger Kitchens etc. The park was quiet again so one train operation wasn't really a problem, although The Swarm opened late and did a lot of tests in the morning, so they were obviously having a few problems there. Roll on March!

I'm sure that it's out of their control to some extent but having the only two attractions worth making a visit for closed all day is a joke to be honest. I'm glad I didn't visit the event as I was considering it.

The new Pizza Pasta isn't too bad to be fair, the layout certainly makes much more sense than Pizza Hut's did. However, the plates are ridiculously small! When I pay an adult price I expect an adult sized plate, not something that you would struggle to fit more than three slices on without piling them up! Very poor, if the plates had been of a decent size then I would have been fairly impressed, although I did prefer the food at Pizza Hut.

75?! I thought 16 was impressive!

Classic Chessington!

Hearing that Tomb is still in a state is something that worries me, they have had months to sort out the interior, or, if it's still as bad as it was last year, even just give it a dust and clean! It seems like they've given up on it to be honest, as well as Falls, which they promised would be put right way back before last season.

Yeah, because of high winds, 25 MPH + compared with 8 in Chertsey (plus Thorpe's rides are barely effected by wind). Anyways, not sure why you are using that as a counter argument for Thorpe as I'd still be moaning if I had to wait in a queue for PMBO on a one train service!
-
The sad thing is that they did actually still manage to mess that up by having rows blocked off!

It's a bit poor to only have one train on when there's a half an hour queue, and only two main rides open.
-
Half an hour from the control booth?! That's ridiculous, why on earth did it take that long?
