I think the new coaster will occupy that space so they'll have to build a new bridge somewhere else - navigating the park next year is going to be interesting to say the least! I have heard a lot of suggestions of this being a Mack coaster, but then Premier Rides have been mentioned a lot as well so I haven't got a clue what this is going to be.

I would expect it's just general maintenance, possibly lift chain replacement? I must say I'm impressed with what I have seen of Thorpe's maintenance so far, they seem to be doing a lot of work on the rides this winter.

It is exciting news but I'm not overhyped yet - Premier Rides have been mentioned a few times and I really hope it's something better than a Skyrocket II coaster. Something like Full Throttle would be better, but a Mack launched coaster would be a much better investment for BPB in the long run IMO.

An interview in which Nick Thompson says that construction of a major new ride will be started at the end of this season and will take "over 18 months to build", and that "it will hopefully be one of the most exciting rides in the world." (Skip to 49 minutes into the clip). That is very true, but it shows that the new ride has done its job well if the people already condemning it are pleasantly surprised! Whilst I disagree with those already stating that it will be a bad ride, I can understand where they are coming from given some of Thorpe's most recent investments. That is sort of the point I was trying to make - Merlin are hyping it up to be "the future of theme parks" and "a game changer" - I'm a bit cynical about those claims (and rightly so IMO - remember Thirteen's advertising?) but that doesn't mean it will be a bad ride at all.

Because you may be pleasantly surprised? I am keeping a simple view on the new ride - I'm not expecting it to be the best ride ever, nor am I expecting it to be dreadful. It's impossible to judge it at all at this stage as we know very little about the actual ride system, so I intend on reserving judgement until the ride is open and I have experienced it.

Ah, I knew the one from LWV was up for sale but didn't know it was that one - a shame as Whirlwind is the perfect example of how a Topscan should be run.

This photo has been uploaded to Ride Rater's Facebook page: It shows a Topscan up for sale which is definitely Samurai in the picture - could this mean that Thorpe have put it up for sale or just that a picture of Samurai is being used for another Topscan?

Hellgate was very good, but unfortunately was neglected and left to rot in its final years. That said, it had a very good atmosphere and had moments of suspense rather than just an actor shouting "boo". Asylum was the best maze Thorpe have ever done in my opinion, wish they'd bring it back but with a different name (return of The Freezer!)

The Asylum, Experiment 10, Cabin in the Woods, Se7en (but with improvements) and an additional maze would make a great lineup IMO.

I'm not sure how anyone can call that a "new" logo to be honest, it's pretty much the same but with the shine and 3D effect removed. -
