They seem to run a faster cycle if there is a queue. But yes I think that that is the norm nowadays. If you get a good ride opp you can occasionally get longer programs.

Hi JakeIt will probably affect towers, but it will be more full with students than kidies as they have now finished exams.You will get less of the school trips but more famlies. But queues shouldnt be more than 40 mins or so max. TBH iVe found that the best time to go in the school hols is weekends. Stretchy

Excellent news. Looks like by Fright Nights we will have something to gawk over. To be honest I don't think they are going to go with a story line. A number of times JW has mentioned that the average member of the public doesn't need or want story-lines any more (something I deeply disagree with), but I think that this is the current UK prevailing thought. I think they just go for a theme rather than a story. 13 is a perfect example of this. Opening day we were all looking for the story. The tale of the girl who ventured into the woods alone. Basically it wasn't there. It was just a theme, without a detailed back story. Even Raptor doesn't really have a back story, just a theme. Sometimes I think that maybe I am the only person in the world that wishes that there was reason that you are being tested by saw, or why you are riding around shooting things in dual. Something that brings you as a rider into the story something with an emotive hook, where you feel that you are important to the ride, rather than being just a way to get a quick injection of adrenalin.

Having seen the amazing theming that has been produced over in Gardaland. I can only dream that Thorpe can do something of that caliber. Everything looks themed, every direction, so much to look at.

Totally agree Dan, I was totally let down by these crabs. They could be plastic. At least the rays that were in the tank before moved. I'm convinced these were in the same position on Saturday as they were on Friday.

I have a theory about this ride.. I think it started with a premise.. What would it feel like to be borne unto the air by a nuclear blast?With that I think that we will get a wing rider but a wing rider with a difference. I think that we will get Air style seats, with a wingrider style car chassis, with maybe a pivot connecting the seats to the car. I think the start wil be some kind of inclined launch to give you that feeling of the blast.

Hey all,I'm Stretch, I normally hang out over at Towers Nerd, and occasionally posting at TTF (but only when the conversation hasnt degraded into general bickering). regarding Thorpe - I have only been to Thorpe a few times (about 7), but my visits are getting more frequent since I joined the Towers Nerds (who now run at least 1 trip down per year).
