  1. Indeed, what can be understood from looking at that picture is the flame comes out of a vertical spout. It is then discharged into two different directions via use of that plate.
  2. Words cannot do justice to how gobsmackingly gorgeous this is going to be when finished
  3. Its meant to start at the end of November but to what extent I don't know.
  4. While we at it the 0-80 Sign could do with an update too.
  5. Thanks for the pictures! However can you please rotate them to the correct orientation next time? End up sitting here with my head at 45 degrees
  6. Aren't Thorpe Park tied into a contract where a certain amount of the effects must be working in order for the ride to operate?I for one would love to see the effects for every ride working as intended, and if there are indeed to be gas engineers on site for the swarm maybe they can get the fire ball at tidal wave working again and both rides can share the same gas cylinders! I appreciate that will never happen but meh.
  7. I'm fascinated at all the old video and images of thorpe parks early years. How did you come across the video?... Or more importantly... watch it long enough to realise it was Thorpe?
  8. They are two vans parked side by side at a 45 degree angle and they do give the impression of a plane nose cone however its a like an optical illusion.
  9. My understanding is that they would be starting construction at the end of May, I know these things don't always run like a swiss watch but are they still on schedule? Does anyone know if they have made a start on the footers yet? I cant wait to see things start evolving from that island of dirt!
  10. I dread to think what is inside that place, a black thorpe hole full of uneeded crap most likely.http://entertainment.stv.tv/showbiz/250430-glass-eye-found-at-theme-park/An small interesting article about some of the possibilities however....!
  11. I must admit I was happy / relieved / suprised to find every single ride apart from SAW Alive operating when I went to the park the other week, saw a few empty train runs on Colossus and SAW: The Ride was shut for around an hour at one stage but everything was operating at the start of the day and still working at the end. Understandably it was my first visit of the season so I can't say they have resolved all their reliability issues but from what others are saying it has certainly improved.
