Unless they can find a major way of sorting out the traffic problems (which based on space and the heavy forested yet built up area) will be extremely difficult to manage, Legoland's days of expanding (such as 2005-2012) have come to an end. I think 80% of future additions at Legoland will only be ride rethemes, new shows, meet and greets and playground equipment. If the park can't get an enclosed dark ride approved, what hope do they have of adding anything else (except the above)? Rumour has it even the Castaway Camp (which opened last year) was originally refused.

The problem with Thorpe is not that it's main coasters don't have high throughout (with the possible exception of saw which gets 950 on a good day) but is rather it needs an increase of higher throughput of supporting rides. Towers (which is far from from perfect) does this better (aside from the larger gaps between rides due to location) which has its primary rides Nemy, Air, Oblivion, Smiler & Thirteen whilst it's secondary rides are Hex, Duel, Rita, Sub-Terra, Congo, Flume, Mine Train and Spinball. Most of these secondary rides receive good/decent throughput for thei positions (bar Spinball). I think once thorpe get the dark ride (snd it has a decent throughput), there will be a slightly reduced problem of throughputs hopefully.

Or perhaps every ride built at Thorpe since Merlin's ownership except the Swarm.

I still think they should go with the 'spring cleaning' option someone said around here a while ago. Quite a lot of the park could do with a facelift. Rumba, Canada Creek and parts are lost city feel very fun down and even parts like Inferno, Amity (Stealth's sign is a washout) and even ABL could have some TLC done to them. Just market next year's ride and clean the park up I say (and maybe reopen the CCR).
-
The thing with Disney though is, they don't go all shouty like Merlinabout their new rides, like it's going the most technological ride in modern times is coming, even with new stuff and just aim at making it look like a generally good ride. That being said though, disney is generally different as people dont really go there for the rides but more for the Disney experience, characters, shows, meets & greets etc. On another note, I can't wait for Chessington's new coaster Air Corkscrew coming in 2027 (swarm's already had its turn a Heide).

Very excited for this, should be a good move by the patk. Another reason why 2016 could be a good year for new uk rides.
-
Hooray for originality! Good to see Merlin keep up with creative ideas that aren't treading on existing concepts (how to plagiarise two rides in one name I say).
-
Paultons is another Patk I need to add to my list. Very pleased they're still continuing to invest and improve the park.

Must admit, I've heard mixed-positive things at Space Mountain at DLP, but hopefully the upgrade will make it a fantastic experience. Whilst I'll miss out on the ride when I visit in April, it's something I'm looking forward to on a return trip. Speaking on upgrades, I think until 2027, there will be at least one major ride at a time as I've heard the following attractions are confirmed for major refurbishment and closures. Space Mountain (happening now) Jan 2015- July 2015 Adventure Isle September 2015- April 2016 Small World July 2015- December 2015 Thunder Mountain December 2015- January 2017 There's even talks of phantom manor & Star Tours getting upgrades, but not sure what's happening there. I expect the studios marvel retheme wont happen until 2018 at a guess.

Disneyland Paris Trip 24th - 26th April 2015
Matt 236 replied to AJ 's topic in Your Planned Trips and Reports
TBH though It will be shame I miss the big cred that is Space Mountain, there's still lots of big rides there. BTM, a Ratatouiee & the dreams are the things I'm most looking to see (the latter which is not even a ride). Unfortunately, I don't think there will be a perfect time to catch all the rides as small world & Adventure Isle are closing in summer and BTM will have a massive 12 refurb next year too, so Id rather miss one big ride than wait until the likes of 2017 to see them all (who knows I may want to do WDW by then). Hopefully I'll get to see SM after its refurb soon, maybe even before 2016, so who knows. -
Disneyland Paris Trip 24th - 26th April 2015

There may be a second trailer before the trip depending on schedule and everything but not sure what'll I'll do for that whether it should be another Beauty & The Beast reference or another film? SM 3.0 -
Once again I can say, I don't really fault the park's current open hours 10-5 off peak weekdays, 10-6 weekends & peak week, 10-7 Summer and 10-10 FN. If I'm a little pedantic, 10-8 closings in summer and 10-7 closing in school holidays would be better, but apart from they're good for the park's position now which bar the seaside parks I still believe has the best opening hours in the uk. Sadly we won't see the likes of long opening hours in the uk (Like Disney or anywhere) such as 10-9 closings on average weekends and 11/12 on peak days (not to mention restrictions) but there's now is quite good. I remember going a Tivoli in Spain which didn't close til 2am in the morning. However the park didn't open until 6 in the evening and has a low entrance fee and a separate wristband for rides where like Southend & Liseberg, people can drift in and out as they please.
-
Plus swarm & Stealth will most likely only be running one shuttle anyway (that being said,Stealth should really be able to run 2 as it has three trains). I'm still wondering which others rides will be running as 2 major coasters, a show & ABL isn't a lot so far (though Fish will probably also be open).

Looks like you're about to face it alone, 7/10

Teaser Trailer for the trip [expect a massive Vlog whenever I go]. The editings a bit meh I'm afraid -
Looks like a pool complex or show arena. 7.5/10

I'm hoping it's something to do with a ride refurbishment/paint job. I think ride does need a bit of a repaint.

I confess my last one was far to 'in your face' (and probably got one some's nerves). Better than my (previous) awful tackle. Director and TPM's 4th sexiest male. 6.5/10

I think my last profile was overdone (and got on some's nerves) due to being too 'in your face' of (of course what is) my very strong desire to go to Disneyland (made Storm Surge look like a pretty introvert). So, I've decided to change my pic to Something that is much less of an eye sore (but still shows the message). After all, the spell may be broken soon.
