  1. Wow! Some of these Parks look brilliant and great places to veer, except wonderland which looks awful (makes Thorpe look like universal).
  2. Having owned a Premium pass for 4 years now, I can say it's better than Standard & definitely worth going in for if you're likely to visit parks often. A Premium Pass on top of a standard gives, Free entry to fright nights & Feb half term Free standard parking (except Legoland) Entry to London attractions at any time (Shrek from sept though) Privilege pack Plus entry to castle dungeon
  3. Source of this material is here http://riderater.co.uk/2014/merlin-limits-annual-pass-attraction-access/ I'm afraid so. If Merlin continue to go on as they have the last few years, the date I stop renewing completely could be quite a bit closer than I first planned.
  4. Apparently the terms and conditions on the pass have also been altered too, which means in the result 1/ Standard passes must Prebook entry to Madame Tussaud's & Dungeons. They can turn up but entry isn't guaranteed. They also need to pay £1 booking fee 2/ Premium passes can go in free but need to book at the attraction office 3/ Premium passes cant visit Shrek until September whilst standard may not be permitted at all 4/ May 13-31st is also excluded from Standard passes now 5/ Legoland free parking for premium seems to have disappeared Talk about being good to loyal customers. It fears me the MAP is becoming more of a discount pass in recent times (especially to standard ones) and I don't like the limitations that Premium seems to be getting.

Merlin remind me of a multistory car park They disapoint me on so many levels
  6. £18.75 (it was part of a Christmas present fro. Family). Later events cost around £23 (£29 non pass holders) as opposed to the £18.75 (£25 non passes) when I went. Considering I got a hot drink, an area with tonnes of lights, decorations & Christmas theming plus a good chunk of the park to myself, it wasn't bad value for money (3 rides at winter wonderland would've cost me more than a day here).
  7. It's good to see Merlin being as generous as ever, Typical Merlin being Merlin
  8. Or just get rid of it! The area could make use of a new show area and/or garden (chill zone) as the park could do with more entertainment and relaxing areas.

I would to wish you all a Merry Creaky christmas and all have a great day and receive everything you desire.
  10. It looks a lot like a miniature Oblivion (not in a good way).
  11. You could say, I was 3rd time unlucky ;)

Played at a Christmassy gig (open mic) in watford. Was pretty good. Now watching Walle (because it's Disney).
  14. Stealth is his favourite coaster
  15. Agree with pretty much everything here except Slammer I hope the park make lots of improvements next year.
  16. REVIVAL! Changed his avatar from the cartoony ones to a.mOre realistic picture

  18. Work continues nicely on the Scenic. Looking forward to seeing this Beuty operational again after nearly 10 years and is probably the most exciting thing happening in 2015 in the uk (Red Arrows being 2nd).
  19. All Themepark companies are different and have their advantages and disadvantages in many ways. Disney are (of course( the Waitrose/John Lewis of the themepatk industry, and offer high quality goods but it's very expensive and crowded. Universal would be like Sainsburys in the way they offer all round attractiones and experiences and more reasonably priced. Europa are the M&S in where they also offer high quality goods but it's not quite as expensive as Waitrose yet still offer brilliant additions. Merlin are the Asda. Their quality isn't as good as those above but their goods are cheaper snd there's lots more of them around. Hopefully someone will understand this (maybe I'm talking complete nonsense here)
  20. I miss the old cartoony avatar 6/10
  21. Another brilliant meet yesterday, greatly enjoyed and was great to see everyone again (plus some new ones too) which was definitely one of my favourite meets this year and a good end to 2014. Madame Tussaud's was brilliant as usual, Dungeons were very good, Winter Wonderland was decent (bar prices) and The London Eye was the London Eye. Big thanks goes to Peaj for organising another fantastic meet and can't wait to see what 2015 has lined up.

  23. Wow! What can I say, just when I was thinking I did well in last year's awards, I pracitcally win or become a runner up in almost every category (I can be nominated for) Very glad to keep my sexiest male award & biggest fanboy (along with the wonderful JoshC). I'm also very happy ive gained most dedicated. Also happy to have become 2nd in Best quality posts, and 3rd in best member, funniest & most knowledgable member. Despite its flaws Towers is still the best uk park by far plus Nemy , avalhalla, Hex & Slammer rightfully won their categories too. Helix deserved it's winning as best looking coaster abroad. And despite not riding it, I'm happy Ratatouiee won the best new ride (and also confess I voted it too). Sexiest Female 1st – Smidget 2nd – Matt Creek 3rd – RubyRed95 Well, what do I say?
  24. Colossus (5) Depth Charge (5) Detonator (5) Loggers Leap (1) Nemesis Inferno (5) Rumba Rapids (4) Rush (5) Samurai (5) Saw: The Ride (5) Slammer (8) Stealth (5) The Swarm (7) Tidal Wave (5) X (5) Loggers Leap - Swarm+
  25. Apparently Gwazi (the park's wooden coaster) coaster is set to close permanently February next year. Looks like another woodie I could never achieve to ride
