There doesn't appear to have been much work done there by the looks. I'll be visiting tomorrow to check it out.
  2. What I meant was that for those going to the pass holder days. As they cancelled them, the pass holders who were going (me info one) could exchange the pass holder day ticket for one fastrack ride of choice.
  3. With these rides closed and the AP day cancellation, I can see this weekend being a nightmare for Chessington as most AP guests will probably go then and get their fast track tickets and with those rides closed, Fury and Vmpire will probably get horrendous queues with the higher pressure of closed rides and most AP users probably fast racking them. Expected waiting time, 2 hours each.
  4. Presumably this must be a permanent addition now,or they extended the lease. I enjoy the Sea Life at Chessie as it sees a nice addition to the park. The slight eye sore appearance from the outside is certainly the only down side in my view.
  5. Sounds nasty how that ride broke apart. It's a miracle no one died.

Looks a great improvement from the old.so apart from the Sbno railway we've lost all the old pre-tussauds Thorpe logos?
  7. I think even if they had Vampire back on three trains again (bet it won't happen) there will be some crazy queues for 2013.
  8. That post sounds like something I expect on the tube. However looking forward hopefully to improved falls and mine train if their rocks are renewed.
  9. Don't know how it happened, but some staff member must've raised the pitch of some area's audio by a semitone or two.
  10. I wouldn't be surprised that by 2022 (Colossus's 20th) that it will still remain untainted and by ten look a rusting structure.
  11. This is disappointing as I was hoping to attend with my folks this Sunday. Oh well, I will have to wait longer for a ride on Vampire.
  12. X

Doesn't chief rangers have one more?
  13. Still, at least it gives some idea where everything in the park is located.
  14. Chessington has the best map design IMO. Great to see a lot of positive changes there and fingers crossed jumbos will receive a (much needed) paint up.

Because the sound of it is so distinctive and memorable, compared to other coasters even though ts only a mall part of the ride, it adds character.
  16. The problems I see with Thorpe's water rides/ Rumba Rapids/ too tame and bring since the 02 revamp and sponsor removal as the ride now lacks proper theming and interactive experiences. Depth Charge/ Thorpe classic but over too quickly and can still get manic queues. Tidal Wave/ excellently themed and atmospheric too, but unless its a hot day (which don't come too much nowadays), you come off completely drenched feeling very cold and unfomftable. Loggers Leap/ the best water ride Thorpe has but the ride has been neglected and needs a paint up in places, a nice clean and a new tunnel. Storm Surge/ serves no major purpose other than being a cross of depth and rumba with an appearance that appears to be a carbon copy of Tidals.
  17. Thorpe park post of the month.
  18. X

Very true, but they've gained the status of the worlds only sky swat now. As for this decision, I'm looking forward to the new X and should prove an interesting experience.
  19. And Storm Surge.

Is world's last a closer description?
  21. I know the Merlin site with music ad it (if it still exists). But I forget what it's called.

According to the ticket prices page, Legoland's car park charge has now risen to £3 which is the first hike (what will no doubt be any through the years) since the pid system came in three years ago. Bad news for standard merlin and non pass holder guests. However premium parking as gone down (still too much though).

I think if a rumba was still Thunder River, the ride would be seen with more love than it receives now as Rumba.
  24. Though quite a few people seem to shun Depth Charge, I would like it stay for a while as its one of Thorpes classics and the way you enter the park with the beach and the rides in the distance is quite exciting how you're at the start of the thrilling experience. With new boats (and what appears to be some tlc to the ride), I can see Depth Charge staying at least three more years.

New for 2013, Worlds first sky swat at Thorpe Park.
