Very good news for the woodie as it was the best ride there and worth the effort for the park alone. Evolution is no real loss if it's gone. Never liked the look of it anyway.

Rumba isn't the worst Rapids ride out there. Splash Canyon at Drayton Manor is also another poor example of a Rapids ride too. Serioisly, some TLC could do wonders to this attraction. Whether they actually happen, who knows.

The Snow White ride still exists I'm happy to admit. For now at least anyway, given the odd concerning rumour I've heard ocassionly. Pirates will be shut (amongst other rides probably) when you visit, so would advice checking the refurbishment schedules on the park's website nearer the time.

X won't be around forever although there will be a day and time when the attraction expires. Based on current trends, Thorpe's next big band will be for either the empty island or Loggers site. Once those sites are occupied, Colossus will likely be reaching it's expiry. After that, it may be time for X to make it's way out. Pure speculation though. I actually like X but not on the level of other Thorpe coasters or enclosed ones. Beats Nighthawk though.

Unfortunately we are living in a world where people brainwashed by the media result in Brexit and Trump's presidency happening. With certain papers likely to continue thrashing normal break downs for the foreseeable, I can't see any end to this. 2015 was a disasterous year for the park and 2016 was s year for picking up the pieces which shall likely continue into 2017. 2018 remains an optimistic year with the addition of SW8 and with the competition of Blackpool's mammoth (and maybe others), they will not want to fail. Whilst the ride absences this year have been noticeable, Hex and Ripsaw for me have been the only ones I've really missed from the lineup and I've still enjoyed my park trips on my six visits this season.

Such a shame the resort are making more cuts to the Resort, especially considering visitor numbers were starting to pickup. Then again, the huge fine will have resulted in many blows to them which of course from a profit business need replenishing. As a result, Towers are now perhaps the least successful of the four parks now. Sadly with current situations and the never slowing paper and Balch articles, I don't think Towers will return to it's Pre-Smiler self until 2018 at the earliest. It does concern me though if this could mean further ride closures in 2017? Blade and Enterprise first come to mind.
