  1. 100% agree. I see a lot of people complaining that Melanie is now a bad guy but that is not the story and it really annoys me. Plus the attraction looks so much better in general than when I was last on it in 2017.
  2. First let me say that Detonator and Rush beat almost every single ride on this list. 1. Tonnere de Zeus I have never felt more unsafe on a ride since Detonator. So much air, and back row on the first drop. Oh my goodness. 2. Stealth Once again, I love the air on this. Backrow was always my fav, but I rode front row quite recently, and loved it equally. The adrenaline, the speed, the air. Love it. 3. Air/Oblivion I couldn't decide. Air is just such a nice, fun ride. But Oblivion is so thrilling, but it's so short, so they both tie for first. 4. Saw the Ride I haven't really ever had a bumpiness problem like everyone else seems to have. I just find it a little short. The inside is great, and the outside is fine if a little dull. 5. Swarm fowards and backwards Short! I rode front row before they made the changes, and I rode backwards quite recently. I do like backwards a lot, and it does add an air of unpredictability, but I missed some of the near misses. I was very surprised when I flew backwards through the new billboard, and found my self shouting "Oh wow that was cool". I look forward to trying it forwards. 6. Th13teen I don't know whether this is just me trying to flip the bird at all the people who really hated it, but I actually really enjoy it. Near the back you get some fun airtime, and I love the drop section, even if the bit afterwards is a bit of an anticlimax. 7. Nemesis inferno Surprisingly forceful and dizzy making. The only ride that actually leaves me a little disorientated after riding. Great fun. 8. Vampire My first "big" coaster, and still holds a special place in my heart, especially the fly over the town and then the dive into the tunnel. 9. Duel I know this doesn't really count, but I have never been more scared in my life. I hate animatronics, and I hate zombies, so the mixture is one of my worst fears. I literally sat most of the ride with a hood over my head, my palms over my eyes, and my fingers in my ears yelling "OH GOD OH GOD OH GOD". Re-rode it about 5 times. 10.Nemesis (I'm so sorry) I don't know why I don't really like it, and I'm sorry. It's just everyone always goes on about the way it's so good, and it sure is good, but it isn't that amazing. I have fun on the + g turn and the inversion over the station, but otherwise it's just kinda meh. Plus when I last rode it with my hands up, my finger caught in part of the car as it flipped over the station, and ended up red and covered in oil which not only scared me, but kinda hurt too. Notable mentions: Spinball Whizzer (painful but fun) Colossus (if they would change those bloody trains) Flying Fish (no trip to Thorpe is complete without it) Rita (great fun) Loggers Leap and Tidal Wave (my fav water rides ever)
  3. I actually really want a retheme. It is a really weird theme in that area. You have Canadian, Japanese, and Saw, all right next to each other (ignoring Colossus with is also quite close by). I do like the Saw theme, but they really need to sort out what they are doing in that area.
  4. What do you mean, "not themed"?! They have a massive Warehouse with a dark ride section and themed queue, police cars, and lots of other themed stuff. How is that not themed?
  5. ^ I guess I must just get lucky every time I ride then. As far as I'm aware, out of the 7 or 8 times I have ridden it, I have found it painful once. So maybe it's just me.
  6. Why does everyone always say it is painful? I have never had a problem with it, and the only bit I have ever had a problem with is the first inversion after the drop. It's great fun in my opinion.
  7. Gosh, went yesterday. They really need to sort out the baggage drop. It got so confusing and crowded around there, with about 15 people all swarming (excuse the pun) around the window. I have to say though, backwards sure is fun. It got very confusing. You do loose most of the near misses, except the lake, but it is a very intense ride. It is great fun though, and I think it is a good move.

Rode it yesterday. I was actually disappointed which kinda annoyed me, because I really wanted to enjoy it. I felt it was better backwards, but the ride LOOKS a lot better than it used to. I do like the lights in both the queue and the ride, but the ride is a bit, well, bad now.
  9. Do you mean that the screen is gone? Or is it just not working?
  10. Woop woop! Fun at Thorpe! But can you buy a fastrack for the back rows?
  11. So just to make sure... You don't need tickets for back row? This is really confusing.
  12. August 1st won't be that bad will it?
  13. Front, on the side that comes really close to the second water (can't remember which side it is).
  14. It kind of reminds me of the Rip Ride Rockit video. Constant annoying clips in the middle. Good to see they are working though. I went a week ago and they still weren't working...
  15. 1. Air - Very creative layout, and I am a sucker for lovely bit of natural scenery. 2. Nemesis - Lovely layout, but overhyped in my opinion. 3. Oblivon - Short but packs a punch. Plus, if this built, we may not have many of todays coasters. 4. Swarm - Great ride, and lovely scenery. Just too short. 5. Nemesis Inferno - Fun ride, but lack of scenery on the left of the ride disappointed me.
  16. Really? Detonator is the only ride that still scares me now. It is my fav ride at the park! Sad to see people think that way...
  17. Pros: Like the use of focus Nice audio Like the voice at the end Cons: I feel that colours could have been edited more. Everything seemed a bit depressing and grey. The letters were a bit to fun and light hearted, and they took a bit to long to appear. Maybe you could have done some flat rides. Maybe a bit more info about the park. But other than that, it was good!
  18. Any news on the fire effect yet?
  19. Wow, I'm lucky then. I was going to go on the 2nd, but now I am going on the 3rd... But yeah, basically it goes like this 1st half of July: Lots of school trips, so sort of bad. 2nd half of July: Even worse, as everyone is off so it will be even more crowded. So 1st half would be best.
  20. ^Probably pretty good. I went around this time last year, and the queues were fairly small. However, there are two risks: 1. If it is quiet, quite a few shops may close, which is annoying. 2. Or it may be crowded because of school trips. Will it be busy on the 3rd?
  21. God I love Stealth now. The first time I went on, I vowed to never ride it again. I was about 10, and I hated it. The launch scared the hell out of me. It went up and down, that was it. I thought it was pointless. However, I was dragged back onto it about a year ago. I went back row, and my god it was awesome. The launch was so fun, and as it went over the top, I got so much airtime. Even on the brakes, I was thrown out of my seat. It was awesome. It is now my second fav ride in the park...
  22. 1. It was for a play in a boys school. 2. I look younger than I really am, so I generally have to play women. Don't judge me. Please.
