when you go on Alton Towers website (http://www.altontowers.com/) a full screen SW7 Smiley face pops up for about 4 seconds. The marketing is getting more intense now which is great can't get it to reappear though which is abit stupid

Advertisement of SW7 is (sort of) ramping up its getting exciting hopefully "The Sanctuary" will shed more light and then the name will hopefully be revealed by then. Oooh I'm getting excited just talking about it

I've never seen them completely dismantle a ride before I mean they never did that to slammer. They arent probably changing the full ride just probably the internal stuff like the integral motors that spin the ride. Fingers Crossed both Samurai and Slammer are relatively incident for the 2013 season.

I hope its to do with SW7! I cant wait for day they announce the name and knowing Alton Towers it will be Obscure like Th13teen , Rita or Oblivion. What do you guys think or want it to be named as?

When Thorpe Park announced plans for flat rides has it always been very very late in the year or has it been around this time because if its around this time then I think their only development will be the snooze boxes.

Have they ever taken the arms of like that mid season or ever? Hope they are just fixing it because I love samurai because all the madness even though this year it has been a very mild experience, last time I went it did 2 to the left 2 to the right and that was it it would be good see like it was when it was first in Thorpe park. Would be terrible for the park if they lost Slammer and Samurai within the space of 1 or 2 years

Has any of the above ground stuff like the track and supports and station been put up yet or started to be put up or is it still a massive hole in the ground?

I really like it. The park wouldn't be the same without it.

I loved it much better then The Bounce in my local park Oakwood and the fun is that you don't know when its gonna dropped as when I went in august they dropped me at 3 which shocked the poop out of me LOL!

I would say the front furthest right seat. Reason 1) its the only seat ive been on and 2) you get really close to the water which is awesome! :)

Cant wait to see it complete, the swarm was revealed around this time and I think thirteen was as well so do any of you guys think that alton will do the same or shroud it in secrecy until the very last moment. The later is what I think is gonna happen

yay I'm going tomorrow so I'll report on how it looks looks and feels unless it breaks down after a day being and thorpe park thats 50/50 chance . Honestly one day all the effects will work at same time hopefully for me it will tomorrow !!!

Hi guys, I have checked Thorpe's website and the "Slammer will be unavailable today-sorry for any inconvenience caused" banner has been taken down and the ride has been taken off the extreme thrills slider at the bottom of the page. Sounds very bad so I look at top and I click on the rides button and Slammer is still under extreme thrills I click on page and it says " We are sorry but The Slammer is currently closed for essential maintenance. It will reopen later in the season." I hope so or do you think they are hiding something bigger I'm not sure what do think personally I think that they are trying to take attention away from the ride. Again what do you think?
