Because it wouldn't be a true Merlin project if it wasn't running late I'm sure it'll be fine tbh, still plenty of time yet.

Aaah, I was under the impression that Premium passholders have to pay the £5 for this one as well... Please tell me I'm wrong!

Wow it really was quiet when you were there! Empty seats on Hulk and Dragons! Fantastic photos as always, looking forward to seeing your night time ones God I need to get back there

okay...

I disagree with everyone slagging off Thorpe and Alton - I mean come on, you can't say Alton is going down the pan when the Smiler has only just opened. Same for Thorpe as well, they are investing! They've been developing non-stop for years now. They can't add a major attraction every year! I do agree with the complaints about Chessington though. It is pathetic.

To be honest that is shocking to hear how little progress has been made. I want to wait til they open though before judging. Do we know when they're planning on opening the hotel?

I think the Angry Birds music will be ok tbh They're building a colourful, goofy land, so the music's not exactly going to be out of place. The biggest shame is that Thorpe have always been pretty good with music, so seeing WWTP and Detonator scrapped is a shame I don't really want to hear it in Tidal or Inferno's queues though.

It's all about House of Fools on Tuesday.

Brilliant post and lovely pictures The Worlds of Discovery are just as good as Disney and Universal tbh especially when you factor in price. Busch and Aquatica are just amazing. I miss Orlando

Aha Park Life! YES! Main thing I remember about that programme was how miserable all the staff were and how bleak they made it look! I remember when Fireman Sam was the best damn thing in TV. Remember the one where Norman went fishing and pulled the plug out the bottom of the lake? Absolutely brilliant.

Yeah Stealth is top left And this is just where I'm assuming it will go. I just can't see dodges going anywhere else tbh :/ With Stealth being separated... Isn't the new bridge to the new island going in over there text year? Maybe Stealth's area will be re-done along with the addition of the bridge?
-
I reckon the dodgems will be on the corner, where the horse race and those other games are. So here basically.... Orange will be Angry Bird boundary Does anyone know it we're likely to see any plans for this soon?

Well done Ellie Good luck settling in with your new crowd.

Bump! If they can do this in Chimelong, it's required on Colossus ...

Some people are such arse holes aren't they. It's such a shame because for many people uni is the best time of their life, but these idiots are taking that away from you. I reckon that photo will get the ball rolling if you show it to your accommodation people.

Yeah that is true. I do like all 3, and I can't see a reason why all 3 can't happen really It's baffling me tbqh!

100% this. I'd like to see something better than chart music at the entrance, bridge & Dome, even if they don't bring the old music back something new would be good. Ideally I'd like a piece of music that people will call "the Thorpe Park theme tune" - same as ITHOTMK at Alton Perhaps we'll see this happen when they re-vamp the entrance in the next few years? The sooner The Noise is gone though, the better.
-
Not sure why these aren't appearing on my FB timeline :/ I don't know how people are finding them! Any of these would be fab tbh. I like them! I love the idea of a dock / boardwalk along the edge of the lake. I believe that was the plan for the 'real hotel' in the pipeline. Also reminds me on Universal's resort If done well that could actually be beautiful. Not sure about the scrap iron shark though - we need less destroyed stuff imo.

What? They've got a bunch of themed audio sat there not being used? Why pay so much money buying the rights to use the audio, then simply leave it silent? I kind of understand the queueing on the stairs ban - but there is no excuse for leaving the ground floor corridor empty. Queueing should be part of the immersive Saw experience - standing in a silent, overgrown, gravel cattlepen is poor when you think of the potential. It's just such a waste! Made even worse by the fact that it could be fixed so easily.

Are the decisions that hasty though? They've been gradually re-focusing on the family market for a few years now, with Storm Surge, the new "resort", X's refurb, and now 2 new family rides + area for 2014. I wouldn't call that a hasty decision. This is a gradual re-brand in to a more diverse resort. Yeah I agree with the imagination / innovation thing tbh. Look at all the effort and creativity they put in to the Swarm - and that was seen as a flop! But if these franchise things are more successful, that's the way it will be I guess such a shame. I think they'll make the best of it though, and I still think this new land is a positive thing For all we know this could turn out to be the best themed area of the park We're just going to have to wait and see what they do.

Didn't see that coming! I'm in 2 minds about this really. I like... - New family rides! Can't go wrong with that at TP - 4D cinema no longer SBNO - Detonator getting some love - Dodgems and 4D Cine offer 'something different' at Thorpe - it's a welcome splash of colour and happiness in a generally morbidly themed park - A return of the themed lands elsewhere soon too?? Not so sure about... - Amity being chopped in half, unless they've got plans for Stealth fairly soon perhaps? - I don't see the appeal with the Angry Birds Franchise tbqh - The one in Finland looks a bit crap if we're telling the truth. Overall I think it'll be a nice little area really, and it's more than I was expecting from Thorpe this year Good luck to them! They aren't a resort though.
