  1. Yep, 1 ticket for each annual pass. There are 4 of us going (each with annual passes), and I had to go through the process 4 times for each of us. But the website just started to act funny and giving me buttons that said "Purchase" but when I did, it then led me to a "Sold Out" page. They've sold out in 8 minutes Thorpe said on my comment on Facebook, and I've got 3 tickets. So one of us is annoyed that they didn't get a ticket...
  2. It says "Sold Out", but whenever I refreshed the page on another device, I was able to get other tickets for 2 other people that are coming with me on Sunday. Now, all it says is "Pending". Maybe Thorpe have already sold out, but I'm getting a few more by constantly refreshing the page. I just need 1 more, so that all 4 of us can go on it backwards. Argh!
  3. I'm certain they still play the end of day music in the lower dome. I have the full track of this which is nearly 14 minutes long and I remember hearing the music from 3:15 onwards everywhere across the park, including the dome, underneath it, the bridge and the entrance throughout 2010-2012. I don't think Thorpe have fully abolished the end of day music (yet), I can only guess some days it can be heard easier than others. Typically, every time I visit, I hardly hear the first 3 minutes of the track, only the rest of it from 3:15 onwards. So I'm sure that the lower dome and end of day music are the same track, but due to the change in music at 3:15, that might explain why some people get confused that there are 2 different end of day tracks that play in the lower dome, or other areas of the park.
  4. I don't think they have, as all of my 5 visits to Thorpe in 2012 have had their "End of Day" music play at the end of the day. It did play everywhere across the park including the dome, bridge and even the entrance. Although, I had noticed occasionally that some days in 2011 it wasn't being played... On topic, there are 5 things I'd like to see returned/played this year: 1) Vortex's Theme - Haven't heard this properly for literally 2 years, so would be great for it to return. 2) Colossus' Plaza - Again, the speakers through Colossus' inversions and plaza have been silent for almost 2 years as well. 3) Nemesis Inferno's Dispatch theme - Can't see why not? 4) Saw: The Ride's Queue-line audio - Haven't heard this very well since 2010, as the speakers have been pretty much silent all-year round. 5) Entrance Theme - I'm tired of hearing chart music at Thorpe's entrance now, so much so that I've almost forgotten what Thorpe's entrance theme actually sounds like. Even though the chart music probably won't disappear at the entrance, I suppose we can hope.

    X

Not sure if this has already been mentioned, but after looking at Thorpe Park's X:\ No Way Out web page, it has been changed a little bit, which could possibly imply that X is indeed going to run forwards this year. Below are 2 screenshots of the ride's description (1st from late January and the 2nd today): Late January 2013: Today: Although, below there is still a review mentioning about it going backwards so maybe Thorpe haven't updated all of it yet?

    Slammer

Honestly, I just can't understand the amount of hatred towards Slammer. Even though yes, it's impossible to deny that the reliability isn't good for the ride, I actually find the experience you get with it to be really fun and intense. It is one of the only rides today (up with Detonator and Oblivion) that still genuinely gets me really nervous every time I queue/ride it, which makes it a lot more fun. I've been fortunate enough to visit almost every time since 2005 and get a ride on Slammer. The only exceptions I've had where the ride was shut all day was during Fright Nights 2010/2011. But to me, even though it might not be the most popular ride at Thorpe and has bad reliability, it shouldn't be hated just because of the amount of downtime it receives. If the hatred was targeted more towards the experience with Slammer, that I can understand, but definitely not just the downtime. Others have different experiences with Slammer to me, but I actually enjoy the ride and hope it stays for the next several years.
  7. Hearing that there are more theming elements added to The Swarm is actually more exciting than the backwards seats, to be brutally honest. I for one will give it a go (just to see if it was worth doing), but I'm very disappointed if X:\No Way Out has been left to rot for another year...
  8. When you look at these clues and the recent images by Thorpe Park of all the rides in the recent snow-fall, it has got to be X:\No Way Out. Here are a few reasons why I think it has to be X: 1) X is in such a dire state and Thorpe Park knows it. If any ride in the park is in desperate need of a re-fresh, it's X. So why would they need to adjust The Swarm when it's only 1 year old, compared to X being 17 years old? It just doesn't make any sense to me to change a ride that is still categorized as 'new' at a theme park. 2) A recent image of the Swarm's train in the brake run in the snow showed no possible evidence that the back seats have been reversed. If they had (or will in the future) Thorpe wouldn't release any recent images with the public would they? 3) Again, regarding the recent images by Thorpe, has anyone noticed they're showing lots of photos of all of the other rides and areas across the park in the snow (including The Swarm), but not 1 of them has X's building in view? Maybe there's some work going on the inside/outside of X's building and Thorpe are hiding it from us. If X:\No Way Out remains the same for 2013 and it is indeed The Swarm's seats being reversed, I'll be disappointed unfortunately.
  9. Post made by Thorpe Park on Twitter: Hmmm, it's got to be X:\No Way Out when you look at the words carefully... although, the words "catastrophic killer" might hint The Swarm too. Edit: Beaten to it.
  10. My problems with the chart music being played in Lost City are in 3 parts: 1) It detracts the theming - As mentioned above, kills the atmosphere and build-up for the rides. 2) Plays over the rides' theme music - If you listen carefully, you can hear the chart music being played over Vortex/Rush/Quantum's music, which makes it worse than just hearing the chart music on it's own. 3) Why Lost City? - It don't understand why they play it only in Lost City, Neptune's Beach (and parts of Canada Creek) and nowhere else in the park. Can Thorpe make their mind up if they are going for themed or chart music park-wide? So, I'm not in favour for this decision to play chart music in Lost City for one simple reason: It makes no sense.
  11. I didn't say for definite that the music will be replaced with Halloween Songs, its just a guess judging by the sound of that tweet. I might be completely wrong, but who knows?Plus, in the "Questions to Thorpe Park" section of this forum, a member suggested playing Halloween songs this time for Fright Nights, and Thorpe replied hinting it might happen.
  12. (First post here. Hello!) According to a retweet made by Thorpe Park on Twitter, someone posted a comment saying: "Spending the day doing the audio for Fright Nights at Thorpe Park - total change in how it'll sound from the past 10 years!" Interesting...... Maybe the audio across the park will be Halloween songs such as "Thriller", instead of the usual Midnight Syndicate music. If that's the case, I'm not to sure how that'll work though. But, lets wait and see!
