As we plunge into another full-throttle year of theme parks and attractions, I thought I would bring up the topic of the Merlin drinks capsule. The drinks capsule has been a successful thing for a couple of years now and Merlin annual pass on facebook have said themselves that they will be releasing drinks capsules to chessington and Warwick castle this month. We have had no further update on this since they released the information of a new drinks capsule way in December 2012: It is said that the drinks capsules will now last the entire lifetime of your pass but this has confused many, I believe that if you purchase a capsule in January and your pass expires in June, the drinks capsule is valid until June unless you renew in which case it will be valid until the following June. I am not 100% sure on this though and am waiting for further information to be released about this. The drinks capsule will remain at the 2012 price of £16 even though it is now valid for longer. A new vessel was introduced in 2012 because of leakages problems but it has been said that the new capsules still leak! People are hoping that the capsules will be fixed so they will not spill everywhere! If you could post an update(if avalible) on what is happening below, e.g the capsules have been delievered to chessington, it would be very much appreciated! This is because when your pass expires you must buy a new capsule to have unlimited drink refills. Also, you will need to have the top of your annual pass clipped in white circle or you will not be able to refil. Hey guys has anyone actually considered the real 'evolution?' You know the one which Camelot theme park had- I mean it is unlikely to turn up but Camelot are selling it and it is actually called 'evolution. There are no plans to show this coming but it was just a thought as thorpe could have meant the 'evolution' as a major clue and thinking about this it is one of the most, none obvious things you would think of! I doubt this is gonna happen but who knows at this stage because thorpe have not revealed any more clues...

Ummm is everyone bought fastrack it would make the fastrack queue longer than the normal queue...

I just went after the Easter hols had ended last year on a Wednesday, and the park was absolutely empty! Absolutely everything was 0 mins except swarm which peaked at 10 mins during the day! However, it was pouring with rain so maybe that's the reason why the park was so empty... I will be visiting again around that time this year aswell, because the park is so much quieter and you can get on your desired rides over and over again

I would hate it to be a club theme! It has been rumoured to either be sponsored by MTV or Ministry of sound. This would make it a clubbing theme but I really don't want X to be a club ride, they barely would have to refurb it as is already a club ride(with their strobes and music etc.) It is also said that the trains will be turned forwards, with new restraints but I really don't want the trains turned forwards I guess we are probably seeing an X refurb but we could always get more than one thing, hence "SUPRISES" so I am keeping my eyes out for veagence because that could be the new ride and an X refurb could be just changing the carts around, giving a new name and sponsoring it by either MOS or MTV! The other option would be that they are actually taking the 'evolution' style ride from Camelot theme park(closed down last year) and they would be leaving the name as 'evolution' I doubt this will happen though!

Verdict on what? This guy in 2013 ride is saying it will be X refurb... The evolution.. I think we are going to see X refurb, apparently it is going to be sponsored by MTV or MOS(ministry of sound) however I wouldn't like to see a clubbing ride! Until we get a further clue, I don't think we can truly make out what it is, I knew thorpe's clues would be difficult not telling us much!

Great to know what is is being rethemed too, or are they just keeping the same old theme? The theme at the moment isn't really a theme though I wouldn't like to see X go forward and I would potentially like to see the block breaks removed as they just delay the whole ride and makes it boring Will the restrains be overhead ones because I think that is pointless on a ride like X, also will it have a new name, will it be themed to do with something about the lost city and and they rethinking the garden queueing area and going to be able to make you queue indoors? The garden queue was stupid and was a tiny area and if it is advertised as a new ride, the garden will not be big enough to house a queue over an hour! Thanks and please reply mate James

Yep definately could be possible, there were lots of guns but no one was shooting them after we found out they didn't work, hence why the guy was telling us to shoot them although they didn't do anything. The story line doesn't make any sense anyway

What happened at the dungeons when veagence was down? Did you just skip through it?

Just saying this is going a bit off topic but I have a feeling slammer may not be returning this year. Someone I know has 'apparently' been speaking to management and they are currently deciding whether slammer is going to be put back in operation. However, if they were too remove slammer, they would need a new ride in its place so if slammer is removed, we must get something in its place. I don't think slammer is likely to be removed this season, and I think you are right. It is probably an x refurb, however I am always keeping my options open and something inside tells me it's going to be veagence from the dungeons

X no way out oh wait... Just realised it was done by Tussaud's I would love to see a new flat ride at thorpe don't know what they are planning to show us this year though!

I take my comment back actually posted it without really thinking! I would love to see a new ride/rollercoaster new for this year and I am just thinking about flat ride possibilities, what rides could go in which have a good capacity and are thrilling enough? I have come up with a small list: Mondial inferno(airwolf) -seats 38 per ride Extreme ride with 6 arms - 36 seats per ride Mondial windseeker(would this suit the target audience?) - seats from 24-60 (thorpe would need to go for a higher option!) Shake -seats 32 per ride! Technical park challenger- 32 seats per ride I would love to see a Super Bowl but I'm not sure it is thrilling enough? Most of these are probably thrilling enough for thorpe and I would love to see a mondial inferno or shake they both have good capacities but I'm not sure about there throughput! I'm not saying thorpe are getting a ride for 2013 but it would be nice... Can you think of any rides which would suit thorpe?

I doubt it will be a retheme of x but I am leaving my options open! Really it comes down to, are the rumours true and are they actually building a new coaster?

Which is 'worth trying out' unless it is a ride or show, they would have not written this comment.

Better be something good just like thorpe says, we are not seeing a refurb, we are getting SOMETHING NEW!

Guys about to post a quote up(when I find out how to do it!) thorpe are definately bringing a new attraction in 2013... EDIT: Hopefully will be a new flat or even rollercoaster.Rumours are apparently saying a new rollercoster/ride is being built in fungle safari

Would safari be big enough for a giant one? Also inverted giant boomerangs are 200ft high and thorpe will not make something that big- that's at least how tall the one at six flags is!
