  1. Where is air at in that video? Is it Oxford st giles fair? I am wondering because I want to know a good funfair near Richmond which contains air :) thanks guys, I really like this ride and I am just wondering does the Ealing common funfair have it?

Please tell me some good funfairs which have it, nothing like hull fair or Nottingham goose because quite frankly I live no where near there! Also can they be quite close to this period in time because I don't want to have to wait ages to ride it! And yes, I know winter wonderland because I previously visited and first went on air ;) thanks guys!

Also, you said they add an extra £1 when both sides are filled! How do they control who goes on when both sides are filled?

  2. Just double checking, I have a merlin pass voucher, how do I redeem it at the dungeons, where do I go?

Then also, how do I book a time with my merlin pass, do I just go in the priority queue and enter or do I have to do some special booking!

I am visting on Saturday, and I am very excited but it is my first time visiting, how scary is it?

Thanks very much guys, it's very appreciated!

Don't want my question to be left behind :P

    Someone please answer it!

About veagence, is it good? I will have a ride when I visit on Saturday but also where is it going to go? I know people say the will not happen, but I really do think it is going to thorpe!

Also guys, is veagence returning to the new dungeons? I am wondering where it will go if its not!

  4. I would have paid alot for a wristband, the money does add up quickly and I would be happy to stay there for the whole day!

The Alpen hotel is great but I found the irrengarten mirror maze much better because it seemed to be much more detailed than the Alpen hotel, it contained 12 of the crazy mirrors whereas the Alpen hotel only contained three! The actual mirror maze part was very unique and was really hard to find the way out! It was great and it also featured funhouse features aswell! I just hope it returns next year.

Showtime is a very unique experience and I found it very scary indeed, it spins much faster than vortex and when you are at the top it is utterly scary! Great experience

Although there are high prices, if you go there in the morning, you can get long ride times and it is really worth the money!

I would really love vortex to have some great lights, it would be absolutely amazing in the dark also if they upped the speed of the spinning, I would be more keen to go on it!

One more thing, air is £6 at winter wonderland, I love it and it felt really forceful when I rode it for the 2nd time! Also blizzard is £7 and although it is an amazing ride, I feel the price is too high! Just wondering, if you went to a normal funfair what is the price you would pay for these?

  5. Well that would be fun, with the realistic-ness of no limits and rct3 mixed together so you can manage a park! I love rct3 and I don't play no limits due to the fact that you make a coaster and don't particularly do anything with it! No one rides it except yourself and that just made me feel that it was a bit boring. That's why I play rct3 :P

Also one thing, can you build flat rides in this new game because it made it all part of the fun!

  6. Looks like the cobra roll thingy has been built :)

I don't think I will be heading down to the resort more than once next year, the queues for sw7 will be overflowing out of the rails and everything else will have really short queues! As much as I would like to ride sw7 next year, I will leave it to future years when all the commotion is down!

  7. Well going back to blue fire, I would love to see stealth extended, but saying that, the park don't have any major coasters without inversions and they need that so it isn't really an option:

What I would like to see:

A nice ride like shambhala or expedition g force with lots of airtime and hills.

Also I would love stealth extended in the same year so it would become a better blue fire!

  8. You mean the same Colossos? The Intamin pre-fab of over-ratedness? Not the awful piece of rusting crap Colossus Thorpeshame already have right?

Just to make sure we're on the same level...

I was talking about the one at heide park! But I think the one at thorpe is good too :)

Shame we won't be seeing a new coaster until 2016, however I think this means thorpe will install more flat rides(up to the 9 proposed) over the years!

  9. Shame Colossos was one of the most over-rated pile of wood I've ever ridden... Like every single Intamin ever, great first drop, rest of the ride forgetful and some might say dull...

I would much rather a GCI... So, so much rather...

You can't be putting down Colossus...

Colossus is an amazing experience although I have to admit it is not one of the best I've been on!

If thorpe park got a starflyer type ride it would be nice and also maybe if they had samurai replaced with a zierer starshape it would be good aswell! If detonator was also double the height and still the same intensity, it would be one of the best dop towers ever! Detonator is a really intense drop tower but I prefer power tower because of the height!

To be honest as long as thorpe brings something good which I can ride, I'm not particularly bothered if its a woodie or a flyer!

  10. If it was to be a woodie it would have to be an inverting one or one with a major woodie! Beating outlaw run this year it would probably have to be the steepest and the woodie with the most inversions to get much interest in it.

My idea was to have the worlds first wing-diver. It is a dive coaster mixed with a wing-rider, the trains would be 3 rows of 4(2 on each side of the track) it would stop like oblivion does and would become the worlds steepest wing-coaster aswell! The ride itself would have up to 8 inversions and would be up to 200ft tall! As much as I would like this at thorpe, it will have to go somewhere else because thorpe have the swarm!

A b&m flyer would be awesome but it would definately have to be something special...

  11. To be honest as many people would like to see those things done, most of them are unlikely to happen. Firstly, saw alive is not going to be reopened due to high costs to run it, I would like to see something like a saw themed flat ride instead!

As for the new ride, I think thorpe will be following their MTDP and will build a new ride. The only obvious possibility for this is vengeance from the London dungeon, but the problem is it has to low capacity and through-put! If veagence is not included in the London dungeon next year, what are merlin going to do with it?

  12. Hey guys, today I visited winter wonderland in hyde park and had an awesome time; here is my review of what to ride and what not to ride.

So, I started by looking round the angels market, breathing in all the delicious smells and I have to admit the food looked delicious, however the prices were high, extremely high! We headed over towards the alpine adventures zone to start with and noticed the wild mouse XXL going with empty carriages, infact the whole park was absolutely empty! We payed £6 each to ride the mouse and joined the queue(well there wasn't a queue but whatever!) the funhouse features in the queue were awesome however it was rather disappointing that they didn't bother to turn all of them on. The mouse was fun but not one of the best rides I had been on, however me and my friends extremely enjoyed it! After that we headed to the Alpen hotel, we only paid £4 each for this funhouse and we spent 17 minutes in it!

The funhouse features were great and my favourite part was where there were spinning discs and water was fired at you out of this guys nose! This attraction was great and worth the money!

We had booked tickets for the ice kingdom and went straight in and although the statues were amazing I was desperate to get out after 20 mins because it was so cold. We then got hot chocolate to warm up in the carousel bar and headed over to the snow jet! The snow jet was an awesome ride only costing £4 each and it flicked you up the sides! It was awesome!

After that we went on air and even though it was empty he gave us a really short circuit, however the ride was awesome and I paid £6 and my friend only had to pay £4(child 12 or under!) I then took on the beastly power tower which was so scary(I paid £6 for it and it was well worth it!) I got five drops and I flew out of my seat screaming(yes I was screaming) on every drop! A classic, amazing ride!

My friends didn't particularly like the look of blizzard(£7 was really expensive) so they rode deep impact for £3 whilst I had a really long, exciting ride on the blizzard booster! Although I paid £7 I loved the ride flipping upside down and rocking, and it was my best ride of the day!

    Ride/attraction count:

    Wild maus XXL- £6

    Alpen hotel-£4

    Magical ice kingdom- £8

    Snow jet-£4

    Air-£6(although £4 for a child)

    Power tower-£6

    Blizzard-£7

    Deep impact-£3(yes I didn't ride this!)

    Scariest ride- power tower

    Best ride- blizzard booster

    Most fun attraction- Alpen hotel

Although this was an expensive trip it was well worth the money and it was so fun!

  13. Having a look at the booking system, pricing up a few random dates across the year, I am actually disgusted at the price they think they can charge. I honestly hope, that with time, these prices decrease. In my opinion, however, this will not happen.

Mate, thorpe park prices go up every year, this resulted in me getting an annual pass due to the horrible pricing(£45) per visit! It is going to go up even more next year and no doubt the crash pad will do this aswell! I don't know how they think they can get away with this although I love thorpe park and the rides.

  14. As for the pricing, you pay £1 for a token. The large rides tend to be 4-6 tokens (depending if your an adult or child (12 or under)). The rides are pretty decent and well worth a visit but it does get very busy due to the cramped layout of it but apparently that is also being adjusted for this year.

Wait if you are a child can you get on the big rides, I have a friend who likes big rides like AIR but if he cant get on then there is no point going!

    Thanks guys, I'm visiting thursday!

  15. It does kinda make the ride look worse, however rameses is a great ride in itself and I'm sure having a big whole and being able to see loads of wires isn't putting people off going on it ;)

As for having the hole, I sware all topspins have the whole in the bottom of the seating area(is that what it's called?) so I think it is nothing to do with maintenance, I'm not sure though!

  16. I think we need a radical new way of doing things.

Firstly, scrap the thorpe trips. Noone likes thorpe anyway. Let's go towers instead.

To be perfectly honest lots of people like thorpe, hence it being really busy. Also some people(like me) live miles away from the towers so it is totally unfair to just make meets there! I really think you have rushed into this post as this comment seems well and truly unfair.

  17. To be honest, I went to thorpe park around the same time as you this year and I didn't have any particular problems!

The opening hours were 10am-6pm(I think they are really short hours!)

During the day, Colossus did hit a queue of 2 hours but apart from that most rides queues were under an hour! I got to the park early so I could hit a few rides without queues straight away! We went straight to saw and got a walk on ride! We then hit nemesis inferno which was also walk on! I don't remember the whole of my day but here are my queue times:

Nemesis inferno- x3(twice 0 mins, once 80 mins!)

    Saw x3(twice 0 mins,once 60 mins)

Stealth x3(5 mins all three times!)

    Swarm once(40 mins)

    Colossus x2(15 mins both times!)

    Samurai once (0 mins)

I did lots more rides but really the flat rides and water rides! Everything else throughout the day was 10 mins or less!

Remember, this was a peak day during the summer holidays and it was one of the busiest times I have visited!

To be honest, I think it is just how you plan out your day, yes you could have been taking down those queue times at the busiest time of the day at thorpe and the emptiest time of the day at alton! I'm not saying you did this, but if you plan out your day well you can get on most rides with small or no queues!

  18. Is it just me, or would you expect The Crash Pad to be significantly cheaper to stay at than AT's hotels?

Yea I suppose you would expect this seeing as AT hotel is sort of more posh(in a way) and is permanent unlike, thorpe's! However, with thorpe you are getting extras(the entertainment!)
