I went five times this year once to fright nights and the rest fairly moderate queues except one time everything was walk on I am getting an annual pass next year so I hope to go a fair few times maybe 1ce a month?? I dunno I will definately visit sunscream and fright nights next year! Hopefully there will be an annual pass day and ERT next year! Seing as an annual pass is £150 if I go about 8 times I'm saving like £170 so that will be cool!

Aww hopefully thorpe will introduce ERT like alton towersYou dont get a discount on Fastrack full stop.
Love bursting peoples bubbles

Yea mate sorry for confusing you! I have to agree with you as much as I would like to disagreeOh you mean flat rides....
Lets be honest here, Thorpe is the clear winner here but even there's are run shoddily or not up their funfair equivalents. Vortex, Samurai, Zodiac and Quantum should be great rides but are crap. Only Rush and Detonator are any good.
Vortex- it has great swinging powers but cycles are too short and the spinning is rubbish so you don't get a variety of heights! I will still ride it with sort queues though!
Samurai- I love top scans but yes- the spinning it rubbish and if you end up at the top every time it is utterly boring and you don't flip around
Zodiac- I don't see what is wrong with it except it spins too fast for me it makes me feel too dizzy when I get off
Quantum- it's aimed at kids, but I think it's quite good for a kids ride, it's always got short queues!
You missed out slammer but anyway slammer is great but the problem is its always broken, it's probably the most intense flat in the park!
Rush- last time I went to thorpe park I went on rush! It was definitely the most fun flat ride of the park!
Detonator- I love this ride how you fly out of your seat, the only reason this is good is because the harnesses are loose and it launches you down! Otherwise it would be rubbish!

If you have a merlin annual pass, can you get a 20% discount off fastrack? I may be getting an annual pass next year so I would like to know if you can for what packages and rides! Thanks guys, I hope I can get fastrack cheaper!
P.s is it like you can get a discount off accelerator fastrack and extreme fastrack and hydration fastrack or what?
-
The crash pad is thorpe park's temporary hotel.... Thorpe park should bring ERT for hotel guests and annual pass holders! I don't get what you mean about it making a good set of flats? The Crash Pad would make a quite good set of flats.

Strange that so many people love nemesis inferno... To be honest I think saw stealth and Colossus are all better than it! I mean I love the ride but at the end I always feel really dizzy! Only ride which makes me feel dizzy apart from zodiac... As for Colossus, it's so classic and I love the heart line rolls at the end! Stealth and saw are just amazing!!

The spinning pannels don't work any more and the bottom of the boat is always filled with water so you have to lift your feet up the whole way down! Whenever I go any more its 0 mins because its such a bad ride!I think storm surge is fun it spins I think it spins quite a lot and the drops at the end are fun because you come out of your seat.
-
Guys I wanna know your choices on this!! This could be a close one!
-
They could bring something like them back......Those old trains also added to the overall thematic experience, Translyvania hill with those bats coming off the second lift...
Sigh... I miss them... I even remember the year it was closed due to the refurb and being disappointed...
Except they probably cant be bothered....
-
It starts at 1:30 counts down and restarts again and then goes over and over- bit pointless!
-
I am sorry but storm surge is absolute rubbish! The spinning pannels don't work, and it is over really quickly and you don't get wet! That is why I didn't even bother putting it in this poll!Rumba Rapids, I also think Storm Surge is fun.
-
I have ridden both and rameses revenge keeps the water squirting in your face and on ripsaw when you get a tiny bit close to the water it will disappear! However ripsaw instantly does the same, in one cycle, quickly, and gets you drenched..

I loved the old music... Now lost city's rides just play pop music and also I didn't notice anything different in the restraints. I think they are always just slamming down! I got used to it I rode vortex 8 times in one day onceI remember the days Vortex had music... MUSIC!
And the motor run dropping floor <3
Also, when did the restraints become so violent? I felt like I was gonna end up beheaded...
-
I found a vid on youtube the motor looks the same :/
It looks the sesame if not worse- maybe it's just because of a setting :/We asked for a high setting and it ran well! Lets hope it stayed this way
-
This wasn't a fright night but just to say one time I had a look and samurai was only open till 3pm I was like wtf! Then I went on saw later in the day and it was open again! I dunno why but it like closes if the forecast is for rain or something?!I went yesterday and it ran well, however it was shut until about 1pm
-
Can anyone post a vid of the ride now running?? I went to fright nights and it was shut so I would like to see if its running to the max? The spinning better be good because samurais settings usually make you end up in the same position every time round instead of a variety! I would like to see the new motor working! Thanks

They are not exactly new.... I was just wondering because I prefer the classic suspended swinging coaster cars! You say new? They are 10years old now. Meaning they have lasted longer than the originals.

I went to thorpe park a few weeks ago and was expecting long queues- they were shorter than I expected! It was a Sunday and I didn't expect it to be like when I went in April and everything was 0 mins! I got quite annoyed when waiting to buy tickets because they only let us buy tickets at 10:30, we got into the park at 10:45 and went straight to saw! Saw said it had a queue time of 15 mins which we were impressed with and the wait turned about to be about 10 mins! I was disappointed because I sat on the back row and it was nowhere near as good as on the front row! We then went to nemesis, it said 15 mins but it was walk on so that was great! I love nemesis and it goes really fast at the front or the back and it makes you really dizzy afterwards! We then went to Colossus, the queue time was meant to be 20 mins but we had to wait 40 mins which annoyed us! This ride is getting rickety but I love it all the same! By this time it was something like 12:00 so we decided to head to vortex! Vortex was showing a 15 min queue but it was actually 30 mins! I like getting the highest point of the swings we then went to loggers leap which was a 10 min queue and got wet on that I love the air time on the bump! It was now about 1:00 so we ate lunch and then headed off for some more rides! If I remember rightly we did rumba rapids next which said 5 mins but was a 15 min wait and then went to rush! Rush was really fun as it was my first time on and we had to wait 30'mins for it though! We then went to X:/wtf I hate this ride as the Themeing is so poor and we had the lights on! We had to wait 30 mins for it! We then went to the fastrack kiosk and bought fastrack for swarm at 3:00 and stealth at 4:00! So it was almost 3:00 so we went to swarm and we used our fastrack! I had experience of the swarm being quite boring on the right in the middle but we sat left back and it was great- felt really fast! We then tackled the flying fish and a few other kiddy rides including the rocky express and quantum which was great and then it was time for stealth! We got to stealth and it was experiencing technical faults so he said we could use it up till when the queues closed at 5:00pm we went back to stealth at 4:30 after a ride on the teacups and it was in operation! We got on and had a great ride and as soon as we got off it broke again! We felt so lucky! We then went over to nemesis inferno and had a walk on ride and then went again as soon as we got on it broke down so we had to wait a good 15 mins for a ride operator to fix it! The lady said queues were open to 5:30 so we were hoping to get a ride on tidal wave! We had another good ride on the nemmy inferno and went to tidal wave, unfortunately all the rides queues had closed! We had a great day and queues weren't too bad!
Ride count:
Stealth- 1
Saw- 1
Swarm-1
Nemesis inferno-3
Colossus-1
Loggers leap- 1
Vortex- 1
Rush-1
Quantum-1
Rocky express-1
