  1. Unless he is referring to old plans such as the woody or the flyer.
  2. See it as a rectangle just like others have said. You get on at the bottom right corner (Victorian shell). This moves to the bottom left corner (tube station) and you get off. While you experience the live actors the train moves to the top left corner. You now get back on the train and it moves to the top right corner where the majority of vr 2 takes place. Then right at the end it quickly moves back to slightly left of the bottom right corner, let's you off then moves backwards to the bottom right corner/Victorian train shell. (Unless you get let off in the Victorian train shell - to be honest I honestly can't remember which really says a lot about the change of locations and the fact I spent a lot of time convincing the people I rode with the train actually moved) All this happens while 2 other trains are doing the exact same thing just a section/ corner ahead. It's not possible to run 4 trains as they would effectively be grid locked.
  3. With Derren Brown on a lot of tweets about the ghost train are going around. A lot of negative ones to be honest...
  4. Well the train has to get to the 2nd section so it wouldn't be possible to get straight back on. As for the headsets playing up it sounds like one of the sensors which tracks where the headset is might be faulty.
  5. http://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/uknews/thorpe-park-thrill-seekers-fright-after-saw-ride-jams-leaving-them-hanging-upside-down-for-90-minutes/ar-BBxdgKl?li=BBoPWjQ&ocid=mailsignout I don't even know where to start with this...
  6. That is what I'm trying to say (I did word that horrifically). I meant the maths in the system as the probabilities of what they do when not waiting for a major ride and so you are forcing all those people to other smaller rides which would make a bigger queue. So an hour queue on stealth is the equivalent number of people of a 2 hour queue on rush (roughly).
  7. Mathematically works and is a brilliant idea providing you make some pretty big assumptions like people waiting for a coaster on the system will then go and wait for a different ride with the same probability as if the system wasn't there. Where in reality people would be far more likely to wait for a ride that wasn't using the system which would force people to the low throughput rides which is just not what you want to happen.
  8. The ride strikes me as one where its throughput is all over the place and varies massively. I suspect there is no fastrack on it as they don't know how many to sell.
  9. They would have had to invest in multiple shows, many restaurants, more supporting rides and a few very high through put rides all of which cost way more than just keeping throughput in mind when making new rides. It was always doomed with the amount of money they had (that and the fact the maths for the system just doesn't work).
  10. You have missed many "discussions" on reserve and ride. Maybe go and read that thread seeing as it was basically identical to Disney's and then you might see some issues with the system.
  11. Thanks for clearing up that it's the 2nd ending dressed up as new.
  12. Is there actually a 2nd ending available this year which would make that a 3rd or is this the 2nd ending dressed up as new.
  13. Chest size the only issue will be Colossus, although I often find its peoples thighs that limit that. They are all designed for a 52inch chest with Nemesis Inferno having a special seat for 54 inch. If legs are a problem just try and sit in the front of cars and in the unlikely scenario you don't fit just go and visit guest services and they will give you a fast track for a ride you know you fit on.
  14. The only time I ever visited was when I had the platinum flash pass so I don't know how the queue dynamic works.
  15. I found el toro very dependent on which seat you are in. I think every coaster has a front row queue but they can be very long especially if there are a lot of platinum flash passes being used. Those passes would have made my trip there very infuriating if it wasn't for the fact we had one. Kingda ka and zumanjaro still have to wait for each other and I suspect kingda ka will break down at some point during the day.
  16. I quite like the way it's not inversion focused. Personally I feel inversions add very little to the ride and I would much prefer tight corners and airtime. To be honest I think the ride would be better without a theme and trying to tell a story. Id much prefer well done generic than half done theme. My only concern is the hype train may raise it to levels it can never reach.
  17. Don't think its possible to cut £5m from Chessingtons next budget seeing as it would never have been that high. The £5m I think is too little. They broke countless rules and because of them 2 people lost limbs. £5m is basically nothing to them and while I'm sure they would have learnt from this it's the loss of income that will be driving it not this fine.
  18. I don't think it has managed one day to open on time. The breakdowns will keep happening until they fix the fundamental problems with the ride. However seeing as they didn't include the solution to heat in the design they are going to struggle to fix it.

I would quite like to see the park install one of these http://www.coaster101.com/2016/09/21/skyline-attractions-unveils-skywarp-attraction-concept/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter It may just be a glorified Larson Looper but it does look cool and could make quite a nice flat ride.
  20. Well Galactica and rain wasn't considered so I'm sure a water ride and VR has come up in a meeting at MMM. I seriously don't see loggers opening again and on top of that I don't see them using the space for years.
  21. Yeah great value for access to a load of rundown poorly managed parks (Ill let Thorpe off as they are no where near the level of CWOA) and a few London attractions that are quite nice that you are likely to do once or not at all with your pass.
  22. When I was there Shambhala and Dragon Khan were running 3 trains. However their operations where so poor the 3rd made no difference. On some occasions the 2nd train wouldn't have made any difference either. In theory this ride could work like TTD and run 5 trains but I seriously doubt that is going to happen. It would not surprise me to find this runs 2.
  23. That isn't the whole train is it? 12 seats a train isn't exactly good. Especially when it is in Porta Aventura world.
  24. It costs so much because of the overcomplicated technology. The VR costs a fortune, the animation costs a fortune, the trains cost a fortune. I'm not sure if the trains are AGR or track but I would assume they are tracked but if it's AGR then that is a huge amount down the drain for nothing. You then have the loss of money from involving 9 million different companies and I'm sure Derren Brown didn't come cheap. I would certainly not say this attraction was value for money and I'm amazed anyone comes off the ride thinking it was good to be honest. To me it's just one massive Merlin disappointment.
