A 2015 small attraction is possible as it was outlined on the MTDP. However they have clearly ditched that plan and are now following a modified version. Hopefully they will get something but at this moment in time it doesn't seem to promising.
-
Its not a technical thing. I think its something to do with a bottomless pit because if I remember correctly it has a mirror at the bottom.
-
The problem is that it seems, so far, to have the same issues the smiler had and its mega cattle pen labyrinth. If merlin had any sense it would have tried to avoid the same mistake. You cant compare Thorpe's drainage to the smiler. The smiler has a 3 inch swimming pool, even 3 days after the last rain shower.
-
That is a bonus for this queueline, it has a roof so the swimming pool effect should be reduced.
-
I would like to think that we are not getting a shooter. Yes they can be good but I want to see something different. If we are given a shooter then that will still be good but I will still feel disappointed.
-
I more meant disappointing because I think that merlin could do better than another laser based ride. Tomb blaster and duel are good but I would much prefer something like spiderman.
-
Its hard to dig a hole when your on a man made island. You generally run into water problems. It will be a tracked ride of some kind, either like spiderman or a disappointment involving lasers.
-
Not those trees. They magically appeared. Although it is a scify show so I guess the science isn't really important. They needed to make up for a complete lack of physics with an interesting story. Unfortunately the tree episode had neither. I prefer the days of Russell where everything was the end of the world.
-
Colossus would be nice to get some overhaul however at the moment its not vital. The rumba rapids and the log flume are in need of some very urgent update.
-
Making the rapids and teh tea cups more angry birds land would be good or even a whole new theme. They need some desperate work, the peeling paint falling down theme doesn't quite appeal to me.
-
At least the moon episode got some things right, like the moon does exist. There was nothing correct about the tree one.
-
well we will be waiting a long time for that dark ride. Glad to see thorpe are planning for the future.

I didnt really like flatline, I much preferd into the dalek. It may have been a remake of the christoper elcelstone episode dalek but it was still good. It seemed to return more to the russle era where almost everyone dies which is far more intresting than moffats everyone lives. I often find that nothing really happens in his episodes which makes it a bit boring. Also the worst episode without a doubt of all time was that tree episode. All the science was wrong and the story was just awful.
-
Sarcastic, I thought I would exaggerate what a lot of people seem to do when slammer breaks down for 5 minutes.
-
A quick update all the rides are closed. I hope this doesnt mean they are getting rid of the entire park.
-
Better than any final with matt but I still feel it was rather meh. Yet again will all moffat episodes nothing really happened. Best episode was still into the dalek. Also the episode really didnt need the master and would have been better without him/her/it. No final is complete without a dalek invasion.

12 major rides sounds interesting. Not sure if that comes under the other categories listed or separate but either way it seems promising. My only concern with it at the moment is the lack of room for expansion. The areas designated are not exactly large and I feel that the park could see the same fate as Thorpe or chessington not too long after it opens. However I am happy to see that the concept images still show a wooden coaster in the background. I know its only a concept image but I can always dream. -
Step one in building a building is dig a big hole. So they will be clearing for that. You cant lay concrete with a low ground temperature so they will be clearing the entire area and maybe start digging so concrete can go in from april. Then depending on how complex the ride system is the rest of the building will go up allowing for instillation of the complex ride systems with testing of the ride starting around dec/january so they can work out any technical issues. Or if its a simple track ride then testing will begin later and vertical construction can begin later. Clearing the trees now will be down to this being the most practical time to do it rather than it being urgent.

Not pressing charges is an odd part of the story. If the person punched the security guard in self defence, as stated in the persons story, then the court would appeal in the guys favour. So as he is not pressing charges makes me think that story isn't entirely accurate.
-
They have a full year and a half to build it, I imagine that they are clearing the site now and over the closed season and then construction will start after fright nights next year. That way it will minimise park disruption.
-
Its been suggest on a few other sites but a vekoma d-ride could be what we may be getting. It can get 1200pph and offers a ride experience that would suit a dark ride well. Theme wise if Candy is in charge it should be quite interesting. Shes pretty good at coming up with original themes and putting an odd twist on some basic themes.

At this moment in time I would say that paramount park is likley to go ahead. So these concept images look like the park has great potential. -

Star Trek Coaster!!! At least in the concept image anyway. https://scontent-a- -
Just realised I never gave you a shout out. I will have to try and remember to include it when I next record.

They dont have enough staff to do all of the balancing while the ride is running. I'm pretty sure the ride requires 2 operates which leaves the 1 remaining staff member to balance both sides. Which is impractical so it is easy for them to just wait until operator 2 can batch the right side. Unless they are now using 4 members of staff in which case they are just being slow.
