Its not may have to wait longer, you will have to wait longer virtually. Everyone in the park will be waiting for rides and mazes at the same time instead of what would have been a split between rides and mazes. I can gaurentee you that the virtual wait for mazes will be longer than they normally would.

They have had the last 2 years for park fixes and they have spent the money on useless items. Like detonator re-theme or swarm backwards. They need something for a thrillseeker again, there has been nothing new for them since 2012 (2013 was just the swarm again). Thorpe will find it amazingly hard to loose that thrillseeker image and becoming a more family friendly park I don't think will have much impact on their profit. The family market is already saturated, it doesn't need more.

The other week I was there I had my shoulder restraints reasonably loose all 3 times. Just a couple of centimetres above my shoulders which made it nice and comfortable. I'm pretty sure that the ride could operate with just a lap bar (not that it should), you would need to go into one hell of an odd position to manage to get out with the lap bar down. It wouldn't be the most comfortable experience with just a lap bar but it would be possible. So to have a new rule of having the shoulder restraints down as far as possible, despite not being how the ride was designed seems rather odd.

I'm not saying that another launch wouldn't work, I was more pointing out the fact that the statement had no credibility.
-
Its highly likely that the manger would have said it was a definite possibility to any ride type you could have suggested.

Without fastrack and RnR active it will be very hard to get all the mazes done.
-
RnR is returning to ruin your weekend. It could be their new slogan. Also save you time? It saves no time at all it just reallocates it to a different queue. I feel another rant coming on.
-
Never heard of fright night sundays? They are always like that every year. Slightly busier towards the end but the first sunday always dies at around 5/6

The chances of me going when it is walk is rare but the rule is still stupid. The reasoning behind it isn't exactly the best reasoning in the world.
-
True you don't have a right to stay on but if there is no queue then being made to get off and walk round again is ridiculous.
-
True but they still use it as a defence.
-
It is possible that they complained and were told to go down another queue.

Coaster planning or a dark ride planning would have come through by now. Expect a flat for a families first thrill.

Yesterday there was a high number of VIP's on park because of towertimes fright night event. It was also the first weekend which encouraged more VIP's. As they have paid £400-£500 on a pass merlin treat them as best as they can because if they go and complain they have very little form of compensation for them. So sticking a VIP in an hour queue wont end well so they just let them go straight to the front.
-
It doesn't effect them if they have to send round an empty train. No need to remove it, it would just be for some connivence for a short period of time until the queue builds.
-
RnR will only ever work on the mazes and will just result in slightly longer queues else where so it shouldn't be too noticable. However it will still suffer the everybody is waiting effect so virtual queues will go up to a possible 3/4 hours and also the mazes will loose some people it deals with at the end of the day as RnR doesnt let you wait if your reserved time is after closing. So best of luck trying to get all the mazes done.

Fastrack is meant to be 25% of the wait of the normal queue(well its more complicated but it works out as the equivalent of that, there abouts). The main queue should always have a higher allocation, regardless of the wait of the fastrack people. If Thorpe have oversold them, then Thorpe should be held responsible rather than ruining the peoples day who didn't pay. To complain at them for that is fine as it is their fault however to say that the main queue was being let in more isn't really a valid argument. Thorpe will defend themselves by saying that they limit the number of people they let in the park so I would suggest commenting on bad ride operations rather than saying it had way too many people. Saying those things will probably lead to a more satisfying answer as the other points will yield a generic response. Enjoy your priority passes (it will make sense to you in about 8 days).

they normally start earlier so it opens towards the end of fright nights. Looks like that may not be happening this year.

The human race can make up its own mind. It doesn't need people telling you what to do. It doesn't need people telling you what you can and cant eat and it doesn't need people saying you have just experienced a 200ft drop get off and run round to prove a mediocre ride hasn't lead to your legs loosing circulation. Its like saying you've been driving for 10 minutes, get out the car walk around to check your circulation is all right and continue. If cedar point let people re-ride mantis without an incident then the rest of the world should be the same.
-
my money is still on the 500ft tall aqua trax which becomes an RMC dark ride with a top spin pre show.

Dear god, these fish puns

So we could potentially be waiting until after january we get any news. why not announce what your going to do like the rest of the world merlin!
-
I would have to agree. Oblivion or nemesis for example. I don't want to be told that I have to be forced through a shop then have to run down a hill to run back up a hill again killing 5-10 minutes before I can get back on a ride which has been sitting there empty. If summer nights had a blanket no re-ride rule it would go down as on of the worst theme park events in history.

I imagine a more permanent stage may come to light but I don't think they will advertise New for 2015 a stage. I don't see it attracting many guests. Did Thorpe ever submit planning permission for the dodgems?

It wouldn't surprise me if we did just get the fish moved. Its not exactly in a good place or with good theming.
