It's not really Chessies fault though is it? If they are awaiting parts from the manufacturer, its completely out of their control!

Pics of the 'Hyper Drive Dodgems' : (Taken from PWH Facebook Page) Personally I think they look bloody awful! I think its a complete let down from the recent additions to the park such as Marble Madness and Hobs Pit. I would have rather them spent the money on getting a second train for Enigma or general TLC around the park!

Wednesday 1st April 2015 Got in the park at around 2pm, so wasn't expecting to get on much! Ride Count: Stealth x1 Inferno x2 Colossus x1 Swarm x1 Tidal Wave x2 Samurai x2 Rush x2 Dodgems x1 Rumba x1 Loggers x1 Total 14 Highlights: Staff on Samurai were great, interacting with the queue line really well, doing April Fools things. Samurai was running really well. Obviously nothing like its old years but it was fairly forceful. Every coaster except Colossus was on 2 trains Queues were not too bad Infernos Mist is still working Rush staff were having a competition on which swing was loaded and checked the fastest Lowlights: Rumbas Shower not working Saw broke around 4:45 and stayed closed for rest of the day, they had a great idea to send all of us to Colossus fasttrack queue but as Colossus only has 1 train operational it meant we still had to wait a fair while to get on. I dread to think how long the main queue had to wait! No audio what so ever on Rush, it was just silent. Colossus on 1 Train - It really needs its other train operational as soon as possible (is it actually at thorpe?, it doesn't look like it is to be honest) Notes about closed rides: Slammer: All the scaffolding has been taken down and from what I could see all the restraints are back on, looks like it might start testing soon, depends what still has to be done that isn't obvious or out of sight. Detty: No visible work being done, looks like its waiting for a part Vortex: Was being worked on for most of the day. Looks like its closed due to restraint issues, most of the day they were fiddling with the restraint systems in quite a few seats. Obviously I'm not a mechanic and I don't know what is wrong but I would take a guess its waiting for a part for something to do with the restraints! Overall a really good visit, got lots more done than I was expecting, just a shame Saw broke down as I was in the station and had to be evacuated. However, the people on the ride were evacuated effortlessly, the evacuation procedures have clearly been well trained.

The thing is, is Colossus' second train actually in the country? I seem to remember the train that is running now was sent off last year? (correct me if I'm wrong) So maybe the other train has been sent off and it's just a case of waiting for it to come back?

I will be there for most if not all of the day!
-
Wouldn't surprise me if Vortex is closed due to restraint issues. It has been having problems with them since it opened this season. Detty I have no clue. Sad to see it down and will probably be down for a while as Rush has replaced it on the Ride line up for preview night on Thursday!

Annoyed I missed this, was stuck in a presentation thing at work Sounds like it was really good. Will see most of you at Chessie meet I guess

The banner on Thorpe's website is stating that Samurai and Rumba will be returning for the Easter Holidays. I guess it's literally a waiting game regarding Slammer!

Although so many of us enthusiasts hate the thing due to it's awful position and lack of themeing, I highly doubt it will be leaving any time soon. it's not been showing any signs of having serious mechanical faults and it is fairly popular by the general public. Yes part of the big queues is due to the awful throughput but it is still popular with many guests!

Happy 15th Birthday to the London Eye! Had to laugh at the news though, they were filming in a pod and they were hoping to be at the top when they were live but the eye suffered a 10 minute breakdown meaning their plan failed.

I would rather have the countdown than 'The gondola is about to be released' :L

Not really all there was, was a very quiet 'the gondola is about to be released'

7th March 2015 Arrived to find the entrance queue not too bad, but the queue built up into a quite a distance! Ride Count: Colossus x3 Inferno x2 Swarm x1 Stealth x3 X x1 Loggers x3 Detty x2 Vortex x1 Zodiac x1 Storm Surge x1 Pros: Queues were fairly tolerable most of the day. Infernos Mist Main coasters were on 2 trains except Colossus Lots of improvements Vortex running at a decent height X opening a few minutes before closing time (for non VIP's) Cons: Saw not opening Colossus only on 1 train Vortex opening late Detty didn't have its countdown running Overall an excellent day. Went expecting no Detty, Loggers or X, although Saw and Quantum didn't open I preferred having Detty and X open! Vortex opening late

Thorpe's Twitter are now saying Loggers Leap will be closed, but Detty and X will be open!
-
Completely confused right now. Both comments on Facebook and Twitter state that the only rides going to be closed are Slammer, Samurai, Tidal and Rumba. Hopefully its just these four but who knows ...
