  1. Fastrack up the exit. It's such a bad idea to have it there.
  2. On 4 trains the ride dispatches roughly every 3 minutes from what I can work out. Each train takes 30 people, it's rare that the train will be filled though due to the seating arrangement. That means roughly 20 trains are sent an hour without hold ups, with on average 25 seats filled a train. That gives you a throughput of around 500 an hour.
  3. Tomb Blaster can get 500 when operated well on 4 trains, on 5 about 600/700 although it never uses 5 anymore. With Dragon Falls staff dont tend to fill the boats so its rare that it gets anything over 700.
  4. I imagine by "it blew air pressure" it was most likely a block shut down, the ride makes quite a loud noise when all the air is released and the brakes close. There quite frequent in early season due to new staff on the ride or issues with the sensors. Strange it needed to be evacuated though.
  5. I think its more to do with the fact that they have realized the whole thing needs to be replaced rather then re-themed.
  6. I did back in 2008, can't say I remember much of it to the point in which I can't even remember what side I did? It was rough though and was defiantly more painful then it was fun you haven't missed out on much in my opinion.

  8. Just to give you all a little heads up, they have something quite special for Rameses planed this Halloween. I really can't wait to see the results of it.
  9. There really is no need for two trains on weekdays though, I think the park is just about hitting a 1000 people mid week.
  10. It really depends who's operating, the rule is supposed to be 3 adults, which is anyone over 16. Although I have found a lot of the time the hosts/operators don't really mind if there are 4 adults. It's defiantly not as strict as dragons fury.
  11. Anyone know what midweeks in september are like? I'm trying to organise a trip for a weekday this week, I'm sure it wont be too busy but on the other hand I'm expecing a lot of the coasters to be running at a low capacity.
  12. Evac training most likely.
  13. Would have most likely been an L1 or an E-stop, an operator is normally able to sort those out within minutes.
  14. A really fast version X No way out. In all seriousness I cant remember much of it, I was talking to one of the hosts before it had started and he had said they expected it to roll back at some point as the weather was pretty bad and the ride had just started up for the afternoon. Once the ride had launched and we creased the top of the hill I sort of knew we where not quite going to make it, we must have stalled for about 2/3 seconds then the train started rolling backwards, it was actually quite scary, I don't think I had ever felt speed like that before going backwards it was a very different sensation and the quite rapid deceleration was quite forceful too and not in a particularity nice way either. In all honesty though I think my favorite part about the whole experience was sitting on the launch track looking at all the jealous faces in the queue.
  15. They never existed. I never understood that rumor I was lucky enough to get a roll back in 2008, it was a cold and wet day in April, Stealth had an 80 minute queue as it had been down all day. Really made the queue worth it and we also got another go.
  16. These are never pushed though or checked. Ride ops can easily make up there throughput's if they want and a manager would be non the wiser. It's a shame but throughput's really are not pushed at all across the rides teams and a lot of staff don't seem to really care at all about how efficient they are as they don't see it as part of there job. It's mostly all geared towards being as safe and interactive as possible with ridiculous procedures being implemented on rides such as Vampire. Vampire struggles to reach 450pph the way its currently being operated.
  17. The 2 cycles are still running. I'm back on Saturday so I'll see if I can get any info on the whole 15 people rule.
  18. It was running great today I think I saw it go down once the entire day. The fountains are not working yet and there's some annoying rule about having to have 15 people on the ride before it can go round which means a little more waiting but it's still great to have it back and working.
  19. For the life of me I cant really remember, I want to say yes it is, but I'm not 100%
  20. The new archway is not purple the new paint work does look good though, IMO.
  21. Just a few things I saw today. -Vampire queue line has been touched up, They have repainted the railings. -Scorpion Express is looking alright, they have added a lot of stuff too it, its not longer just a single cacti I think you will all be surprised by the back drop too. -Like I said before Rammy is good to go, I think they have already started training staff on it. -Market Square again looks great, all the paving is done, there just adding some planters and other bits to make it look all a little nicer around the area now. That is about all really, the parks still a construction site but they still have a week to finish everything up.
  22. On a positive note, the scaffolding on Rammy is coming down and it should be good to go for the start of the season.
