Some concept "art" Each big table has smaller tables coming off it, so I don't think lack of tables will be too much of a problem, it looks really big in this rendering.

If you get the day right you can win with 400,000, many of the top scorers have actually already won so the prize will be given to people further down the leaderboard.

There are loads of theme park competitions out there, so I thought it would be great if we could have a thread just for them. Post the name, link, terms and conditions, as well as expiry date for any you find.

I like how you say "reportedly". I mine, they might have faked this testing video https://www.facebook.com/ParksCoastersWorldwide/videos/952575664816993/

What happened to Farmer Studios, I found their site and it makes it sound like they are still a business.

New for 2016 - Park-Wide Improvements
Zach replied to MarkC's topic in Chessington World of Adventures
Yeah, like the new google logo was due to a budget cut... The real reason is that there is a move to what is called "flat design", in my opinion the new chessington logo is clearer and more striking, it looks less dated than the old one. -

Yeah https://status.slack.com/ is reporting that it is down, looks like we'll have to venture into the actual TPM chat

I guess log flumes don't have any type of restraint, maybe this could be why they are considered dangerous - merlin figures that if another person is hurt on one of their attractions then they will lose yet more customers. Maybe we will see them open again with individual lapbar restraints? For something like this its better for them to be safe than sorry, can you imagine what would happen to the parks if there is another high profile ride related incident?
-
I don't think people should immediately call it a bad idea, without at least trying it. I mean, I enjoy dragons fury and I love ble fire so maybe it would be great.
-
The point I was trying to make was who are you to judge someone else's enthusiast tendencies. You get a buzz out of getting the last train of the year on a ride and complaining about Thorpe, just as Benin does by trying to ride all the coasters in the world and having a great time doing it. Each to their own I guess.
-
Just as I don't understand why someone would be annoyed that they couldn't get the last train of the season on stealth.
-
Heavily rumored on this site yes, but like that means anything. And to answer your rhetorical question, I'm not an expert on log flumes and don't know the exact state of loggers leap so can't answer that (neither can anyone else on this forum AFAIK).
-
I don't understand why people are complaining about it being closed for maintenance and complaining that it isn't maintained at the same time. Surely we should be happy that it's getting the TLC it deserves? Rather than come up with speculatory bull**** why don't we just assume that merlin knows what is best for the ride.

Hey, welcome to TPM.
