Went too winter wonderland on friday night was a nice evening. the event was nice and quiet. Wild maus was Good as per usual really worth a ride especially at the front as you are so unrestrained the amount of danger you feel on the highest section is immense. The huge ghost train was good it isn't worth £7 but it got a few screams out of me although that isn't too hard tbh,theming in there is very good as well. XXL was next, the cycle feels a little shorter then last year but the power and intensity at the top of each swing is second to none nothing like you would get on vortex. I also stupidly scoffed at comments my glasses would fall off on it however I would say one thing, it was not the ride which made my glasses fly into the night sky, it was the cruel wind which stole them from my face! they fell down and landed on the ground and I thought they were gone forever. as we walked too our next ride we found them on a table under the ride, I couldn't believe it. Luck was on my side with that one. it was the most magical and hilarious moment of the night. Air was gonna be our last ride and what a ride it is,I really like the unpredictability of it, it is a really fun ride. Don't know why they are not using all the pods as when we there they would only 2 pods at one time maybe not enough demand? We were gonna go after that but hangover opened as we walked past and OMG it is scary. the thing is it is so tall and the restraints aren't as securely feeling as detonator's. the agonizing pause at the top was genuinely the most scary moment of my theme park year. As I braced myself for a floaty drop like power tower of last year. The drop that followed was far from floaty it is like detonator's but not as forceful but it still does pack a punch and after the initial punch was packed the ride just kept on dropping a truly good ride which is worth doing if you do nothing else at winter wonderland. was a fab evening!

Well I visited Yesterday Bit of A mixed Day tbh We got there for park opening And Went straight to the vampire I hate too say this Because I Normally couldn't give a toss about it first thing but what should of been a 10-15 minute q turned into a 25 minute wait due too the terrible operations it literally took 2 minutes 30 seconds to send one train and at least 90 seconds for the others we had too wait for this meant we got off the ride at about 10.35am not the best start to begin with really. Next we headed over to dragon falls a nice short q however due too stupid people standing up the conveyor had to be stopped about 3 times Which extended are wait time for an extra 5 minutes not the parks fault but still annoying! next we proceeded to rameses revenge Which was nice and quick and we had no problems waiting one cycle and then being let on. However we then went for lunch which is when the problems began. We Q'd for Curse of the lost tomb for around 35 minutes brilliant We were enjoying how quick the Q was going however we got too the safety speech and we were about too go in and the maze had a shut down This was fine we thought we'd wait around As they said it would only take around 5 minutes for it to reopen however this didn't happen and we got evacuated out of the Q and we never got on the maze we waited around for a bit incase it reopened however it didn't so we went to rattlesnake one of the few positives of the day it was running really quickly we waited around 35 minutes and the q was back in the bit before the mine tunnel. Never have I experienced rattle's Q moving so fast and it was really good too see. Then we decided to head over too trick or treat wood which was hilarious it is a really nice Little attraction for kids It is re ridable with the two different routes and I just found it really fun tbh pros of it being really short meant a short 5 minute q. I can understand how it could be disappointing as a scare attraction however as a nice fun part of you're day it does it's job wonderfully. we then returned too curse told the welcome host what had happened and were let through the disabled entrance which was nice as the q was even longer now. this attraction has the potential too be extremely scary. The way I liked to describe it was being inside a low budget mummy themed horror movie especially the ending I was expecting something a hell of a lot more forceful however what you actually get is a very funny ending it is very good and would have been a great addition along with mystery and haunting however as the leading maze it just is a little weak unfortunatly. we spent the remaining amount of time on about 5 more rides queing an hour for scorpion express was a particular lowlight in the rain even though the q said 45 minutes however the end of the night we went to vampire which ended the day on real highlight we were on the 3rd too last train of the day and when we came back round there was no one in our row the op let us stay on for one more go on the last train of the night which we were extremely grateful for ended the slightly dissapointing day on a high. unfortunatly the event and our day is like the whole of Chessington has been this year full of mess ups and Extremely extremely average. hopefully it will pick up next year!

Just A word Of warning to everyone Going to this meet and planning to use public transport bus times Have changed And in the morning buses leave at 8.30am 9.00am And 9.30am! basically every half an hour

Tidal wave is on the map it's probably cause its a last minute decision!

As long as you can arrive at 9.00am to make sure you can get in without paying the ridiculous £1 fee I'm fine with it However if you have to pay the £1 fee to access the event Then technically the terms of the annual pass (premium) Have been breached IMO London Dungeon And Shrek guarantee entry for a £1 Is fine But this is just ridiculous!

I personally think That when/if Opening Smiler May have negative media attention but it is essentially free advertisment for alton towers At the end of the day and people will all know that it is open the worst thing the media can do Is ignore it completely Imo From attracting guests to towers perspective.

I'm guessing this is a mistake but Fright nights Website says that My bloody valentine Will be in the arena Obviously the arena doesn't exist anymore so surely this is a misprint?

I remember being Evaced from toadies one Halloween just before dusk (Fun times) on a serious note What If they shut The ride shutdown And People were trapped and couldn't be rescued until It actuallly got dark no it's not an issue on Toadies but on other rides such as skyway could it be more of a problem

The only things that will shut at dusk will be toadies Canopy capers Skyway the zoo lorikeet lagoon and I think flying jumbos closes for the darkness As well

But With 4 people In a tub these boats were properly balanced With 3 or 1 the boats will be slanted as they travel around Surely only being allowed 3 in a tub is more unsafe.

I know That I was Just saying That No one is moaning about them and only focusing on chessington especially when thorpe are more in need of 5pm closures then chessie anyway as thorpe are actually busy in september

At the End of the day about opening times 4pm closings are perfectly reasonable for Chessington in September and Certainly October Tuesday-Thursday On days I've visited in those periods You can literally Walk up the hill by dragon's fury without seeing anyone and stay on the fury for about 3 goes! Hardly surprising that this has been done! in the long run If these closures mean the maintaining of 8pm closures for October half-term then everyone can shut up moaning To be honest. Thorpe have also got a couple of 4pm closures on October weekdays don't see anyone moaning about them.

whilst fastrack overselling was a problem last fright nights it's not Thorpe's fault they're extremely popular!

The next thing to be announced will be 7pm/ (possibly) 6pm closings Just wait and See! doubt 2nd of November will remain a Halloween date either Gutted that I was finally plucking up the courage to go in hollows That they are getting rid of it. Last two halloweens were the best visit's to Chessington of the whole season's and I visit Chessington at least 12 times a year without fail 2013's halloween Was so good I visited 4 times! And rounded off the theme park opening season extremely well. Curse of the lost tomb is going to have to be extremely good to make up for the loss of Mystery of hocus pocus hall and Haunting in the hollows.

Well I went expecting the worst for my as levels Today and was pleasantly surprised I actually passed one AS level Got a D at Religious Studies although the results didn't matter in the slightest to me as I'm moving collage it was still nice to see that I achieved something out of this year rather then it just looking like a waste of a year education wise!
and yes I did Get U's in the other two but never mind my own fault as I didn't put the effort in! -

Had an Awesome time today great too meet new people and ride Saw And getting Lost in I'm a celeb and getting engaged to rocket were particular highlights of the day Thank you everyone
