  1. Well I know Intamin can do a 12 looper, as they are advertising it on their site. Wether someone has bought one or not is another matter. I love this quote for the multi looper coaster e.g. Colossus

By carefully selecting the sequence and style of inversions with the emphasis on smooth transitions and heart-line rolls, this coaster will be less stressful for the passengers than many coasters with fewer inversions.

    Nemesis Inferno anyone?
  2. James, the lights you were on about were called moving head lights. They were situated in the Stealth Plaza Area to get the right effect and it was a big promotion for it during FN 2005. Yes it looked good, I hope it would come back, but it probably wouldn't, those lights are by no means cheap...

  3. As some of you may know, Samurai is a Mondial Topscan. It is fair ride used for travelling, however Samurai hasn't really travelled. Here shows the way they put up a Topscan. Shame you don't get to seem them put on the pods or counterweights! Here is the video showing it all being put together.

Shame James Mellors Space Roller is now not in the country any more travelling the UK! Oh well, at least Top Buzz 2 is back!!Seriously guys if you see Top Buzz 2 on your travels, pay it a visit. Samurai is not run at full potential, one of these controlled by an experienced operator at full speed etc is incredible!
  4. I don't like Hex at all, I find it incredibly boring. The music is good, but I have it at home, so don't feel the need to go in it. I refuse to go in it any more. I always go on Oblivion instead!

  5. Sorry for the double post, thought I should update you on Paultons.Paultons has just spent a lot of money on brand new go karts, the old ones are currently stored in the old Romany building. New for Summer 2009 and I think one of these firsts, if not first, Panning for Gems, we still have Panning for gold.New Water Blasters for the Raging River Ride, which means it won't be going anytime soon. One of the days last month we have had the busiest day since July 2007, this year Paultons have got it spot on.

  6. I don't know what has come over me, but I bought an iPhone 3g yesterday on contract. And before you say it, the 3gs is a rip off and I can't be bothered to wait for it and keep wasting my phone calls, phoning the o2 shop up asking if they have it in stock yet! :P

  7. Yes, sometimes, after a ride has been down for a few days, the first day it's back in operation, it usually opens later. Or it can depend on the type of ride.

Utter rubbish, it opens when it has been tested and ready for regular operation. Which could happen early morning way before park opens, or during the day, it depends WHEN they have fixed it. E.g. it isn't going to sit there for 3 hours if its perfectly capable of running.
  8. Yes, that does happen. Differenty staff members operate Slammer's queue differently.

No they don't. They follow rules. It all depends how many staff are on the ride, if there isn't enough then they can't batch until the ride has cleared of guests.
  9. I am getting really sick of having to read posts again and again because I can't understand them!Is it really that hard to use some basic English skills? Also, New members to the forum will end up getting the wrong impression of how the forum works as well as annoying current forum members! But yes, You get the point now.*Get ready to start packing the bags*.

I completely agree, please read the warn system. Repeat offenders will be subject to it.
  10. 6th AugustSo me and Ricky went to Thorpe Park. Was quite busy but died off at the end due to rides closing and the rain!Samurai was one of the ONLY major rides running without a break down.Stealth rolled back, which I haven't seen for a while now! It was shortly after they added the second train if I remember correctly! It also broke down earlier as well.Park was kept rather clean and tidy and didn't really see any drama. So all was good up until whenever Inferno closed which I can't remember now... 2.30ish? (please confirm Ricky) and it stayed closed for the rest of the day.So from 6.30pm it really went wrong for Thorpe. Slammer had problems, Saw had minor technical difficulties and Colossus had some kind of bolt fall off from the train/track as the engineer was about with his binoculars looking at the top of the lift hill where the train was stopped. I had this confirmed as I overheard some of the conversation over the radio asking if there was an exact location it fell. He then went back to look at the lift hill.Queued for Saw last, still raining it shut down 5-6 times within the 15 minute queue. The engineer eventually decided to stay in the console and sort out any problems. All in all was a good day, just annoyed that at one point Nemesis Inferno, Colossus, Saw and Slammer were all down.I am also rather proud of myself as I fixed a Bose 251 by Colossus Bridge!
