  1. Hmmm! I just watched the Rocky Horror Picture Show for the first time ever and I strangely for some reason enjoyed it, even though it's quite weird IMO! Will have to watch it again tomorrow! xD

  2. I've met a few people, one being Geri (ginger spice) at Thorpe and at work. Also met Neil Fox at work and a few others, however my favourite has to be and most of you won't know them or find them that famous, but Fred and Debbie from ITV Merdian News at the Plaza Theatre. I had to mic them up and look after them etc while doing a show on stage for ITV. Was really magical and they are both such lovely and down to earth people!

  3. I've had enough of people up their own ass who thinks they can get stuff their own way all the time and control how things are done etc.Just ignore it mate, I've totally given up on people like that now!

  4. I don't think it's a noisey ride. It's not like you can hear it from the other side of the park, I.e where Stinger is.

Very true Whiteknuckle! As I am at the park nearly every day, you really cant hear Edge from even the main car park, you can however hear the Raging River & The Stinger. It's been known to hear The Stinger from around the Go Kart area. You cannot hear Edge from the Water Kingdom area. That gives you some contrast in noise levels! :(
  5. Steve what you said about the new rides being disliked by the council is a complete lie. We are talking about TWO rides here, one from 2006, one from 2009. 2006 is Cobra which has permission granted to stay, 2009 is the Edge which is what the appeal is for. Between that time we have had the maze removed to make way for a brand new Wave Swinger in 2008 (which caused no problems) and in 2007 we had Gold Rush Falls and Trekking Tractors, which again caused no problems. It's all to do with the conflict in land zones. Thanks for supporting anyway!

  6. Firstly Steve, probably better if you have to, to put this in the rant topic. Second, If I worked for a Merlin Park, I probably wouldn't put such negative things on here...

  7. I doubt it will stay, but hey if I think like that I might be surprised but won't be let down!I would also like them to stay but it is Thorpe Park, however they slowly getting better regarding trying to keep effects going when they have time!

  8. It is a new ride yes, it may not have the pulling factor on its own but what you have to remember is: it's a completely new land and that is how it's going to be mainly targeted. It may not as Dan said still have the pulling factor, but the queues for the ride would be pretty long as the throughput isn't great on it, I think you can just about get 500 or so an hour out of it if you pushed it hard. Which is about the level of Fury, so in the summer when Fury has 90 minutes, expect Kobra to also have around that time. (Also Kobra will have the same height limit as Fury - 1.2m)
