I think I remember Thorpe tweeting that a new app is going to be ready either this year or next yearThere used to be an app from what I can remember back in 2011/2012, and then one day it just disappeared. Haven't seen an official app since. There are other queuing apps that give times for the rides at Thorpe, but an official one would be nice (and hopefully more accurate).

Is this inside the pyramid it's been turned up?
Used to be full of speakers in the centre and what looked like a large sub-woofer/bass cannon, always makes me wonder why they got removed, was so loud with them!

X really needs some proper concert-lime speaker in it. The music is always too quiet to hear the song! Used to be such a fun ride when you could hear the music all around the pyramid! The new station announcements are good though
While the detonator music might not be great, it does go with the Angry Birds theme, and the countdown is actually in time with the drop!
The I'm a Celeb music finally got taken off of the Nebmesis Inferno soundtrack too
Even worse, the queue announcements were playing in the pyramid! At least now on X it sounds as I there aren't different songs playing on different halves of the actual ride area like on preview day...

When I picked mine up I got it from the Advance Ticket area (you can get it from the annual pass building too, I recommend getting it there, shorter queues and you get a better photo). I took a print out of the email and my Oyster card, anything with your name and photo is good I think. If you queue with them in the Advance Ticket line then you'll be able to both get what you need there. Once you've queued all that happens is they confirm your identity with the ID you provide, take your photo with a webcam and print it (which only takes a few seconds.)
Some of this might have changed since I got mine last year, queue was short when I went but I think it was a weekday and not during school holidays

Well you won't be pleased to hear Derren Brown's ghost train is using the chucklevision theme.
I don't see the problem here

The areas are still a bit of mess as Samurai is slap bang in the middle of the so called old town and listed as Old Town but is clearly themed to Lost City. Then theres angry birds land splitting up Amity Cove, err sorry beach.
It's all a shambles, Samurai would be better off being with Saw and making that it's own section imo. I first visited in 2013 and I've never understood what parts were meant to be Amity Cove (didn't even realise there was a theme for a year!), and I only recently noticed Stealth is part of Amity, thought it was its own thing because of Angry Birds Land (although I do like Angry Birds Land! )

IAC music is so loud in the queue too, could hear it clearly from the top of Detonator (and I could hardly hear the countdown). Could do with changing it back to the old theme tune, went so well with the ride, especially the dispatch (loved hearing it when all the lights changed). And also giving IAC something other than a constant loop of that tune (it did have one last year from what I remember)!

Station announcements seemed to have been turned off by the end of the day which was a bit disappointing, it had some background noise to it adding a good theme to the otherwise rather nondescript station. For some reason the queue announcement played in the pyramid itself when I went on too!
It doesn't stop on the block brakes like it used to on now way out when it ran 5 trains
I think it still stops on the block brakes if the train in front is close enough to the previous one when there's 3 trains running, tends to stop on the very last block brake section from my experience, or in the bit just before the exit.

So yeah that's me (such a massive introduction not! )
