Derren Brown's Ghost Train: Rise of the Demon
I was lucky in the fact that I got to the ghost train when it opened today so only queued 30mins for it. I enjoyed it, but felt it was massively over hyped and didn't feel like the bit in between the trains flowed with the story line, it had the potential to be very good though! I also feel the second halves animation needs re doing as felt like it was badly done and the "mist" section went on for about 4mins making me think my headset was broken when in fact it was just part of the ride. it says the train is suspended 3 metres above the ground, so it could be a like the soaring cinema at disney Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Plus Saw broke down, just after exiting the station, so we were trapped for about 20mins and the had to put harnesses on us to get us out. I didn't have my phone on my, so couldn't get a pic in the warehouse with lights on, but got the best I could of station. if you zoom in you can see a train stuck just past the station with the restraints up. Just looking at the smiler and how tightly packed the track is helps, not just the loops but how much track has been packed into a small space is impressive. It looks visually disorientating, and it was marketed correctly compared to other rides. (I feel swarms ad was slightly cheesy, and made the ride look 100x more intense then it is) Merlin really need a talk with Stengel and wardley about a "good ride", look at Maverick at cedar point, highly rated and no gimmicks, and who designed the ride layout? I agree, but Merlin and Thorpe are money orientated, he also said today that they try to get you to spend as much as possible, whilst keeping investments to a minimum. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

We had a talk today from the assistant manager, he talked a lot about the swarm and then compared it to how IPs have worked for the park eg. Saw. They blamed the lower gate figures for swarm on not using an IP. So the guy said they were very keep to use an IP on upcoming new rides, and all recent installations have been IP based (angry birds, I'm a celeb) so I'm pretty sure this will be IP based and not in house, and hopefully with an IMAscore soundtrack[emoji108] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Slammer
Went on it on my last trip for the first time. It seemed fairly unreliable as the first time we queued it broke down after one spin. So we went to saw for one ride and it was working then. It is definitely my favourite uk flat as it is unique. I hope Thorpe keep it running, as it does seem like high maintenance. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
