  1. Does anyone know if they are selling the cd on park?
  2. I was there on May 11. Absolutely loved hearing the music live, and my friends were describing the shop to me. It was interesting that as you step into the shop the rest of the park audio sort of stops and you can just hear the music in the background. Then we went back out and they'd pumped up the music. I wanted to listen for a bit but we moved past that and enjoyed the rest of our day. Then suddenly I heard the music again and asked wait is that Ghost Train and while we waited for one of our friends to come back I just listened to the music for a good five minutes. It's one thing to hear it on YouTube but standing there, listening live, that's another experience. In the shop I enjoyed listening to the Derren Brown fortune teller talking a bit. It was interesting I found the handle things at the side, they reminded me of those steering wheels you find on rides that just go back and fourth in arcades and stuff.
  3. Does anyone have any idea of how we could be seated, would people be next to me or would it be, perhaps an arrangement of seats opposite each other?
  4. Three player chess? hmmm, definitely seems a bit of a different, querky merchandise item. About immersive tunnels: I'm actually a huge fan of motion simulators even though I can't see. It's one of my favourite ride types because they often theme them well with lots of sounds, so I'm guessing an immersive tunnel is a bit like an evolution of a motion simulator? back on topic: thorpe doing a soft opening would probably be a good idea, whether they'll go ahead though... well I guess we'll have to wait. It could show that they are really trying to take it seriously. Don't get me wrong stuff like The Swarm has some good audio effects and theming around but I think we really need something quite grand now. I'm not going to lie, roller coasters half do, half don't interest me because for a lot of them there isn't enough audio elements around their queue lines or even on board audio. Yet if you ride something like Expedition Everest in Disney World, that lift hill is filled to the brim with audio. It's why I'm hoping for some sort of darkride element to this, I'm not expecting Disney level because that's another level entirely to be honest, but something with a bit more audio or more effects than a typical merlin ride wouldn't really hurt.
  5. HI, Yes, this definitely helped. It's made me quite intrigued. So I'm guessing if this thing were to, perhaps, drop it probably wouldn't be too big of a drop but enough to make your stomach go a bit. Lengthwise is interesting. Imagine if some of the tracks go sideways, assuming there's a lot of movement of course. Would you guys say that immersive tunnels, assuming that's what this is, are more visual in nature, do they feel more like simulators with a lot of tilting, or does the vehicle actually move forward so it could feel a bit more like a train?
  6. Can someone please put the height of the building into perspective for me - give a rough estimate in meters or ft? A photo won't really work for me as my screen reader will just say the word graphic. @ChessingtonSam thanks for that last post, instead of just putting a photo you gave a sort of description of what it contained. It really helps me imagine things a bit more, and lets me speculate with you guys a bit. What sort of tracks were on the poster? I'm assuming train tracks to be paralell ish, but am I right in thinking that the poster has more... well... random looking tracks? Not straight at all? Or is it just a different style of straight track?
  7. This all seems very interesting, especially if both simworks and Intamin are involved somehow. I'm actually wondering something though. I hope this attraction will be OK for blind folks. I went to fright nights one year and, well, came out feeling really disappointed and not just scared. I like being scared, but... every room sounded the same. Then there was Chessington's mystery of hocus pocus hall where every room moved along a story and also sounded different, it was such a better experience for someone who can't see. About dbgt though, much like the rest of you, I'm wondering how much will be vehicle and how much could be other elements.
