  1. I wish I knew!!! I mean, why would they STILL be putting her back together?!
  2. Boooooooo (for 18th) "Please note that Derren Brown's Ghost Train: Rise Of The Demon will be available from 12pm and that Rush, The Walking Dead: The Ride, Quantum and Rocky Express will not be operating on this date. All rides and attractions are subject to availability." "No Fastrack units will be available on the day however VIP Passholders will be able to access Fastrack queues."
  3. Where did you see this (please) BaronC?!
  4. Annual Pass Pre-Opening Day Alert! ⚠️ Tickets will be released in two waves: ?22/02/2018 at 10AM ? ?24/02/2018 at 10AM ?Keep an eye out for our post containing the link to book! Buy your THORPE PARK Annual Pass today for just £49 and get access to this exclusive event!
  5. So in regards to WDLN maze...(spoiler alert just in case anyone has not had chance to experience it yet)
  6. I think QzzB has nailed it... after all, the tag line is "Safe Zone" which now makes sense that X was selected... They can't move the maze/X, so re-theme a family coaster as a safe zone which is suitable for all the family. Theming on the actual ride I assume will be minimal or military.
  7. Their T&C's are horribly vague.... 29. Some peak date exclusions apply (to be confirmed)
  8. I went this Saturday and also had UFT.... 1. Yes (but still expect to queue around 15mins) 2. 0-15 - (Saw, walked on: TWDLN, 15mins in tunnel: Sanctum, walked on: BT, 15mins due to maze "breaking down": P15, 15mins due to some idiot hitting an actor and waiting for security) 3. 100% yes IMO. Yes, for that kind of money I agree you should walk on, but I would rather queue 15mins than 2 hours. Going again this Sat with same pass, so will see how we get on...
  9. Sorry if I am being a bit think here, but what is stopping any of us purchasing FT now for FN dates? Just checked on the website and I can book ultimate FT for any FN date. I appreciate this does not include the mazes.... And on that note... least year they have UFT available including the mazes for the first couple of weekends, which then became unavailable the weeks after... does anyone know if they will be returning this year?
  10. Hmmm, after going on Saturday I do not agree that they have left V1 unchanged...?
  11. I assume this is down to all the VR headsets being functional (opposed to last year). Saying that, we went on Saturday, and even with Fastrack it took us (overall) over an hour to ride
  12. Thanks Owen. Yeah, I too saw the Poppin' Apple Pie on some signage... I am, however, very excited by the Millionaire Shortbread option
  13. I thought it was a simple case of retaining Saw Maze only from Lionsgate and then getting a new IP.. therefore 2 IPs??? Clearly I am missing something
  14. Hi Guys, I know I am past the point of tragic for asking this, but can anyone post a menu of what the new donut factory has to offer? Before anyone takes the mic, I am aware they sell donut's We are going April 1st, figured as it will be April Fool's diets don't count!!!
  15. I am sure I am reading too much into this, but if you pause the "announcement" video at 25 seconds it appears to be a clip from Fright night; so I am putting 2 and 2 together and making 10... scare maze at the end it is. Not happy. I fell for the Marketing in 2015, I am not doing it again. I have no hope or expectation, as I don't want to feel so let down again come March. I also do not think we are getting a whole new 2nd VR sequence, just maybe a few extra characters. The fact is they could still blag ROTD as a title with the existing content, plus the fact the demon hand is grabbing the train, maybe he'll pull the whole train down instead of the one passenger. Are we ever going to get different experiences as they always marketed? The 12 different stories and 2 endings, or does everyone get ROTD now??? Very contradictory Only March will tell....
  16. Haha, erm, well that lasted long!!! has the following text always been on the ride page? http://www.thorpebreaks.co.uk/new-rides-and-attractions.html "Unleashed from the dark are unseen characters, thrilling physical effects and more intense live action."
  17. My point is there is not enough space available for Thorpe Park to truly cater for the whole family!!! Alton Towers has the selection it does because the park is so big. I bet you would all be complaining if they started to remove older coasters and replaced them with a bunch of kiddie rides.
  18. I would not necessarily say that families are the one demographic that spend money. Myself and my partner spend an utter fortune whenever we go (and we visit a lot), UF, beer, food ... and so is the case for a lot of adults from a certain age upwards. Yes of course think to the future, yes of course plan ahead, however this is far from that, it's a workaround to try and stop an area of the park from looking empty. And I stick by my comment that they are limited with land available. I think a lot of regular punters would rather see said space being filled up with decent ride(s) opposed to 2nd hand kiddie rides. I am aware that I am being selfish and not thinking of the younger generation, but are said rides really going to give more value? Surely there is so much more for children to enjoy at Chessington, Lego Land etc, which are specifically designed for families. You don't see Merlin investing in a thrill seekers coaster at Chessington to draw in more of the market?! The USP for DBGT was always going to attract more people IMO compared to a family experience, but that's a whole other kettle of fish in terms of what they delivered.
  19. I personally do not think they have enough land/space at Thorpe Park to properly cater for both. I'm sorry Merlin, but if you want to appeal to the family market put your kiddie rides at Chessington, Lego Land or Alton Towers. Don't start back tracking and trying to move away from the "Thrill Seekers Capital" montage to, "hey, we have rides for children too"!!; all because you're still desperately trying to claw back as much money as possible from 2015. And the mot hilarious part of all of this is taking away the best ride on park for catering to all the family!!! I appreciate this is being terribly selfish of me, but no, kiddie rides be gone, start building us a new "thrill seekers" coaster please, just as you Market your theme park. Oh no wait, I forgot, this is what Merlin does, market a product to be something it's not and then throw their hands up in exasperation when everyone complains!!!!
  20. Sadly, with at least one of the dolls currently residing in Derren's bedroom I don't think we wil see that any time soon. Although I too agree it would make a nice touch!
  21. Just FYI, I got mine March/April this year for £40... but who knows if they will do that sale again in the new year!!!!!
  22. I can assure you I for one was expecting a darn sight more then an "immersive tunnel"!!!! Each to their own, at the end of the day Merlin has no one to blame but themselves for the huge percentage of riders who are disappointed. Their pre-release marketing promised an attraction that it has not even nearly delivered, end of story. As I have said before, I would love nothing more than to love this ride, however IMO they will never be able to deliver an attraction that meets my expectations that were based on their marketing material. By all means, please quote this next season proving me wrong, I would be over the moon to be wrong.
  23. I agree with Owen, I refuse to invest any hope in this. Even if it does entail a new element to the ride - what else could they do apart from a maze?!? Sure you could potentially have a Derren "post-show" but what would be the point in that?!?! As Archive very eloquently put it, they want to scare people, not entertain, which defies the entire concept of the attraction.
  24. One staff member got a bit too excited on Saturday and literally walloped my leg, to the point it pretty much hurt! No big deal, I'm fine (as was my other female friend riding, as she too had the same experience). However if that was a child or someone prone to complaints that may not go down so well!
