  1. My all time favourite maze has to be The Freezer!! It was utterly terrifying and was just horrible for all the right reasons. The actors in it never gave you a minutes peace and from the moment you entered the door to the moment you got out, it was completely crazy and Thorpe park has never had a better maze in my opinion. My favourite current maze is a tie between The Cellar at tulleys owing to its relentless jump scares and theming and Sub Species because of its aggression and the isolation factor it uses.

  2. After catching glimpses of the current state loggers is in from doing Platform 15, I would be shocked if it makes a return next year. I do hope I'm wrong as this is my childhood favourite ride but I just don't see it returning as it just looks utterly ran down now. If I am wrong though and it does return then I owe a friend a years supply of Nitrogenie as I made a bet!!

I definitely think a time slot system would work wonders to Fright Nights.

Hopefully not as expensive as Scarefest, but the queues and queue management is abysmal.

No wonder people complain TBH, would you be Satisfied to wait in a three hour queue for a maze like Platform?

Other than that I think the event is much better than last years..

Big Top was the standout maze IMO, the theming, the acting quality, the music.

Cabin/Saw/Blair where all fun, Saw in particular was very jumpy, but all three are starting to feel a little stale, I think Cabin is the weakest of the three.

Not gonna even mention Platform..  It'd take a five hour rant to explain how much potential the attraction had, and how it completely failed.

Hit the nail on the head with the time slot idea!!. Warwick castle implemented a free timed ticket system with its "Tormented" attraction this Halloween and it seemed to work an absolute treat for keeping the queues down. As much as I love fright nights, to queue 3 hours for a scare maze really is too much.

  4. Is it me or did the amount of chainsaws in Chop Shop dwindle this year?? Had a few goes through it when I went and I must of only of had 5 chainsaw encounters compared to over double that last year. Don't get me wrong, I still loved it and still found it to be one of the best mazes I've done this Halloween but it just seemed the ending wasn't as packed with chainsaws as last year. All other mazes I found to be really good (Cellar is simply a masterpiece!!) but I think Hellements needs to be moved on next year as I find it stale now (then again I'm not a huge fan on hood mazes). Overall I really enjoyed Tulleys this year!!
