Obviously we are gonna see the Colossus retrack, but I think it wont be ready for opening in March and might have a later opening in May or June. Hope they get rid of either ghost train, TWD or black mirror to make way for a new and permanent staged area for events. Refurb the freestyle machines, because the last few times I visited in 2022, the majority of the machines were not working. Revamp of SAW queue line to replace rotting wood and to incorporate the new single rider queue with the ride.

I expect to see Rocky Express refurbished and relocated to Amity Beach. To be precise I think Rocky Express will be located in the area formerly occupied by Wet Wet Wet. I also expect to see some track that has arrived for Project Exodus. This is unlikely but I hope Slammer would’ve been removed. Slammers been SBNO for over 5 years.

The coasters at Thorpe are all different and varied, but all creating a great experience.

Agreed! Both the queue line and the ride are exceptionally themed throughout, and the features of it are suiting.

I think that would ruin the natural sound of the coaster going around the track on some coasters, just me?

I agree with this, Nemi seemed just a bit theme bland

Double post cos I rode the Dezza Train on Friday.

    Preshow still the same.
Pointless numbers and questions about phobias (iS AnYONe ScAReD oF SPiDerS) in preshow 2 now gone, you just wait and are guided on to the train.
VR 1 worked fine for me (though my friends - not so much due to broken headphones - lots of headsets in bags again)
Live action bit inbetween was actually really good, an actor was hidden underneath the fake train which genuinely made me jump - lots of interaction with the actors and Tulley-esque tongue clicking noises
VR 2 all good - until we got the interruption to your service message - which I genuinely thought was part of the experience/add on due to the fact it was themed... screens told us to take headsets off. Staff said put headsets back on. Much fun.
VR then continued for the demony grabby trainy throw bit.
    You're back in the room.
And then hastily exited out - completely bypassing the fake shop and long disappeared Demon (he who has risen and is the whole point of the ride)

Shop looking really really empty now in terms of Dezza merch... what on earth are they going to do with this thing? Who's Ghost Train is it? Nothing to do with me bruv.

Was suggesting - in my mind, the only way they can really sort of save it once the Dezza IP goes, is to run as some sort of upcharge Ghost Train with live actors etc - something Dungeons-esque? That Underground station theming is second to none as I've said so many times. A scare attraction in there could be amazing - and if it's upcharge, it's only moving around and costing money when there's people paying to be on it. Would the maths work? Will the IP be renewed? Is it the future of theme parks? Who knows.

    My Fright Night Review 2022

I went to Thorpe Park over a 3-day period to fully experience Fright Nights, I purchased the Fearsome Four package, but have a Merlin Platinum Pass so do not have to pay for admission.

    Day 1: Saturday 22nd October.
The park was fully sold out and only available for pre-bookers this day, and you could see it throughout the park. We arrived at the park for around midday and stayed all the way through till 9. Fortunately, I was with a friend who held a RAP, allowing us to skip most the 2–3 hour queues. We got on all the major roller coasters except from Colossus. In the dark we did: Stealth, Tidal Wave and Swarm. We also saw the Graduation Sucks! show and experienced Deaths Doors.

    Day 2: Sunday 23rd October.
For the remaining 2 days, I didn't have access to a RAP. Luckily the queues were not too bad, but the weather was the opposite. We ended up leaving the resort at about 3pm when all the rides closed due to thunder and lightning. We still managed to get on a few of the biggies and TWD.

    Day 3: Monday 24th October.
On Monday we focused on doing the Fright Nights attractions, getting there for park opening and staying all the way through till 9pm. First, we did Trailers at about 3:30, it was a good maze, similar to last year's Trailers, but with a few more actors inside. We went on to do Creek Freak next, it is very similar to last year's maze, but with the adaption of the new Project Exodus into the script, and as usual I loved the chainsaw run at the end. We went on to do the new scare experience, The Terminal. This was a fully immersive experience, with noise cancelling headphones playing surround sound audio in pitch black, I think they could of slightly improved it by adding more live actors or effects. Finally, at around 6:30pm, we did Survival Games. The new extremely intensive scare maze did not disappoint, with live actors grabbing you and running at you, this was by far my favourite. After we had done all the paid mazes, we went on to go through some of the scare zones. The Crows of Mawkin Meadow was probably one of the better scare zones featuring a few live actors and lots of scares.

Altogether my visit was extremely enjoyable and worth the journey up.
