Sharkbait Reef - AT Sealife
The logo for it does say Sea life on it. If there is anyone stupid enough to think that's a ride or something else is their problem.

I believe the land where the relief road is supposed to be is owned by JCB. They won't sell it up to aid the theme park. Alton shouldn't have to pay up for it either as its outside the parks grounds and would be maintained by the Highways Agency.

Hey guys, lets remember that this is only a very small minority in the village. A lot of the people from Alton fully back the park as its a huge source of revenue. Try and see it from their point of view, thousands of cars rampaging through their village every morning and evening must not be very nice. If any of you have driven through Alton, its not very nice.

Why, aren't normal people ever going to be allowed to ride it then?

- Is the Uk Theme Park Industry going down the drain?
Ah ok, thanks Will for the clarification there. I think a major thing here is that it's not really fair to make an opinion on something when it's not even built yet let alone be open. I can say initial impressions of Mumbo jumbo, but until I've been on it I can't say whether its rubbish or not.Alton for example is in no way going down the toilet. Instead of adding big rides constantly they are going back over the park and bringing everything up to scratch. I would much rather have them doing up the Skyride and Monorail then to just throw in another Rita/Spinball with little thought. If it wasn't for the restriction we certainly wouldn't have Nemesis, a ride that is world re-nowned. Oblivion would be like G5 and we wouldn't have a flying coaster that is very different to the others. I don't think its fair to say that Nemesis and Air are the only rides they have got right as that's only looking at a very small selection of Alton. Hex, Duel, RMT, Congo, Mutiny Bay, Old McDonalds Farm are perfect IMO.Thorpe and Cwoa are playing far more to their strengths then previously. It's no surprise that Thorpe had its best year last year and Cwoa had its best year since 2000. The recession is actually helping the home parks as the Euro has become stronger against the pound meaning admissions around Europe are similar to our own. People are far more likely to now stay then before.Adventure Island and Paultons are doing well and it wouldn't surprise me if Flamingoland are doing far better then we realise. So now I don't think they are going down the drain.- Forum Posts

Realistically if you are thinking of cost and all that now, do you really want to take a job where you will have to do that regularly.- Saw- Construction Thread
It would be though as there aren't any guests taking their time getting on the ride, there's no bars being checked. There isn't anything stopping the cars going out regularly.(Oh and btw Fury cars go out about every 30 seconds )- Samurai
Right, I'm going to end this right here. Everyone please take note of this as its getting extremely tiresome.1. Samurai is not being re-themed2. Samurai is not going back to Chessington3. Samurai is not being sold.4. Samurai will be at Thorpe Park for many years to come.I thank you for your co-operation.- Saturday 14th Feb - Thorpe Park Open day trip
I might be tempted for Nandos but I'd rather drill nails into my eyes and throw myself out a window then go to Thorpe in the middle of winter.- Jobs at Thorpe Park
I just feel for the guests you know .Last year there was a power cut at Cwoa and only one ride remained open... that was one of the Berry Bouncers. Yes one of them (the worst ride at Cwoa to operate) wouldn't stop.. :PBut yeah, congratulations to everyone who is now working at Thorpe. It won't always be the best job in the world but it is a lot of fun, you meet great people and will always remember it =)- Vampire
Basically the track wasn't changed but the way the ride runs changed. In the old days the train didn't stop on Lift 2, instead it would go straight over. Now if there was a hold up in the station for whatever reason, the trains would stack up but there wasn't enough room for both trains in the breaks. Instead the two trains waiting to go in the station would lightly hit each other. Towards the end of the old Vampire's life, it only ran two trains and the third became a spare part train.- Chessington Music
It's ironic that a ride that can barely be found, let alone rid, has the grandest music at Chessington- Vampire
I always found the whole disabled policy a farce to be honest with you. For instance, I'm slightly short sighted which means that I technically have a disability. It's stopping me working on train stations so does that mean I could go to guest services with my optician letter and say I should have a wristband because without my glasses I cannot queue properly. The main problem is obviously, where is the line drawn. I once had this disabled guest at Toadies, and he didn't have any legs. I told the first person in the queue that they would be the car after the next and she started having a go at me saying "oh I'm tired, does that mean I can skip queues to." Suffice to say this woman watching two people struggling to get a no-legged disabled person shut up pretty quickly. In that case, they obviously should get disabled wristbands as they can't exactly walk. But should a person with a broken arm get one? I would say no, but guests services would say yes.- Saw- Construction Thread
The staff can work as hard as they please, its the guests that create the majority of problems. If there were no guests, rides could run perfectly- Rita
Well the thing is only people who are into rides would really notice that many similarities between Stealth and Rita. Ok it launches, but I doubt non-fans would care how, track design, train design etc etc.- Saw- Construction Thread
700 average, 850 max. That's my bet and I'm sticking to it- Best Sound Of Thorpe Park
The sound of a Fury car being dispatched. Particularly when the car doesn't stop in the station at all, just goes straight out. Its a beautiful notion.. *sighs*- Random
