July 2, 201312 yr comment_162393 ^ THAT is the one ride I will not go anywhere near! (I rode it when I was younger but will not go on it now!)
July 2, 201312 yr comment_162403 Depending on the final chosen date for the trips I should be able to make it. I can only do the weekends of 3rd - 4th August and 31st August - 1st September. The Saturday sounds like a great day to visit the park with the late closing time and fireworks display. As a big Doctor Who fan, if I am able to attend the weekend, I would love to visit Roald Dahl Plass outside the Wales Millennium centre in Cardiff on the Sunday if possible.
July 2, 201312 yr Author comment_162412 we can definately do that phill plus this has newly opened for you Dr Who fans The last photo PROOF wales can have sunshine
July 2, 201312 yr comment_162414 Would love to do this but can only do 31/1 due to holidays, would also need a lift
July 2, 201312 yr Author comment_162415 well this seems to be the thing, I need a car to give people who want to go lifts.
July 4, 201312 yr Author comment_162519 If your interested, the Poll above closes on sunday get your vote down know so your not dissapointed if we can't do your specified dates Thank you.
July 6, 201312 yr Author comment_162661 Poll closed The date of this trip is Saturday 31st August. and the cardiff part is the next day on the 1st September.
July 7, 201312 yr comment_162670 Hey guys I am interested in this as I never been to oakwood before and I love to see Cardiff , but the only thing is I don't know how I will get there :/
July 7, 201312 yr Author comment_162672 I think we will have to ask some people to take their cars so they can give people lifts. its awesome that your interested!
July 8, 201312 yr comment_162720 In terms of attending, I should be able to make it for the trip however I will need a lift there and back from someone.
July 10, 201312 yr Author comment_162808 yes the nearest train station is narbeth 4.5 miles away, someone will pick you up unless there is a bus service to there.
July 10, 201312 yr Author comment_162831 If people want to stay over night in Cardiff, then there are a few budget hotels you can have a look at: Travelodge: Cardiff Central Queen Street Cardiff Central Cardiff Atlantic Wharf Cardiff Llanedeyrn Cardiff Whitchurh Premier Inn: Cardiff City Centre Cardiff City South Cardiff (Roath) Cardiff North Cardiff West Cardiff East Ibis: Ibis Cardiff Ibis Budget Cardiff Centre Hope this helps
July 11, 201312 yr comment_162951 I might be interested in this, but I don't really fancy the 5 hour train journey, not even going to bother looking at the price
July 11, 201312 yr Author comment_162952 haha, well we will hopefully have people being taxi people and giving people lifts to cardiff at least. Do you want me to put you up as a maybe for now?
July 16, 201312 yr comment_163351 I really want to ride Megaphobia, it looks an amazing coaster and the layout looks brilliant. As a fanboy, I feel disappointed and embarrassed that I have yet to ride a wooden roller coaster (mainly due to living too far from the parks that do as well as mainly only able to do Merlin parks).

Megafobia is a brilliant ride, as are the woodies at Blackpool.
July 16, 201312 yr comment_163389 Is the new part of the park open yet by any chance? Heard a bit about it and it sounds quite good!!!!
July 16, 201312 yr comment_163426 how busy dyou reckon it will be in August? Oakwood is never packed, the longest queue I have ever experienced there was an hour for Megafobia and Hydro, but this was a few years back! Last summer I never waited more than 15 minutes for anything. They do frustrate me though - last summer at some points in the day they were only running one train on Speed (bear in mind this is 8 people) but I have heard that operations have improved this year. I will be visiting Oakwood in a few weeks time so will report back to here on how it was etc.
July 18, 201312 yr Author comment_163538 Just to say for those who think that Hydro/Drenched had a vertical drop....... sorry to dissapoint. For a water ride its still bloody steep! when you see this when we go its time to get excited!!
