I don’t think there’s a topic on this park yet. This may well be the most beautiful theme park out there! The theming is just next level, it’s such a pretty park I am very glad I took the day to go.

That said you probably don’t need more than a day. I hear they are expanding the park in 2022 with a new ‘port’, themed on tangled, frozen and Peter Pan, so that should help with the crowding.

Some of the food options were very memorable including garlic shrimp popcorn and potato churros.

Journey to the centre of the earth was a fun ride, and both Indiana Jones rides were quite dull, so it will be interesting to hear what rides the new port will have! Great excuse to go back ?

I totally agree with you, this was my first Disney Park and its beauty just amazed though before I had only been to the likes of Merlin Parks, since then I haven't been bothered to return to a Merlin park because the attention to detail is next level! I'm so excited for all their expansion plans, soaring next year, Tangled land, Peter Pan Land, Frozen Land. I've also experienced Tokyo Disneyland and I must say you can tell its different because they just put so much into everything I'm so excited for the beauty and the beast ride coming to Tokyo Disneyland the animatronics look like they are pulled from the film!

Went the first time in Nov and fell I Love with Disneysea - it just has that atmospheric magic and sense of place that is in the air and palpable. The park itself is it's own 'mega-attraction' and what I mean by that is I could spend a full day there not doing a single ride, and I could still have a great day, soaking it in, exploring etc.

Oh. My. God. And M£rlin think for some reason they'll catch up to something as beautiful and well planned as this.

ste193's a bit extreme in never returning to a M£rlin park because when planned well (literally just a non-busy time of the year/week) they can still be a good day out but Tokyo Disneysea certainly looks like a bucket list type place even if it didn't have any coasters/ flat rides.

I mean, its literally the most pointless comparison to make.

Has anyone seen this construction update on the beauty and the beast ride and land coming to Tokyo Disneyland? I'm super excited for this, the animatronics look like they've pulled the characters from the original film!

Excited for the baymax version of alien saucers to it sounds like a cute ride and all the work starting on New Fantasyland in Tokyo Disney sea! Finally a Peter land, Tangled land and a Frozen land!

Tokyo DisneySea's Next Level 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea Ride

Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea at Tokyo DisneySea is incredible. Located within the park's iconic ‘Mysterious Island’, and despite sharing a name with other Disney rides around the world, this version is so much more than what came before it… - ReviewTyme

Somehow I completely missed this ride when I was fortunate enough to visit a couple of years ago!

I visited both Tokyo Disneyland and Disneysea, as part of a recent trip to Japan.

The resort has an interesting layout in how the main park is practically by the main train line and sea had to be accessed by a monorail loop. With the shopping village between the two, which looked more standardised then ones in the other parks. Leaving the resort is perhaps one of the main gripes, as the large amount of guests leaving by it feels a bit like leaving a large scale concert from somewhere like Wembley.

Now onto the parks.

Tokyo Disneyland:

The park has a mixed design balance between Cali and Florida’s Magic Kingdom, which understandably makes sense as the third Disney resort in the world. The classics varied, with POTC better then floridas but not Cali & Paris, my favourite Small World but possibly weakest Mansion (variant), Peter Pan and Tomorrowland. However the latter may be unfair at the moment due to the extreme renovations especially with Space Mountain 2.0.

However what makes up the park is the current old school classic Disney feel. The extremely friendly enthustic cast members, non scheduled meet and greets and other superfluous changes. There were lots of parades ( including an electric one) and the delight of riding Splash Mountain (albeit in Japanese). The new Beaty & The Beast dark ride was incredibly delightful in every way and Pooh’s Honey Hunt still stands its ground, ad the first trackless dark ride. It just had that classic Disney feel which MK Florida lacked so loved it here.

Disneysea

Visiting this park has always been a bucketlist for me and it didn’t fail to disappoint. Except being spited Journey & Indy. Darn. Despite this, it was a wonderful place to visit, bearing some of the most strong and immersive theming to be seen in any park in the world. From Venetian canals to the striking mount Prometheus in the centre.

Tower might lack the thrill of the others, but the design and story is incredible in every way, 20,000 leagues is highly unique and Sinbad ride delightful with a catchy soundtrack. Fantasy Springs is just wonderful. Frozen is clearly the showstopper here with mind blowing effects (even for those not the biggest fans), Neverland Adventure an interesting and modern variation of Pan and Tangled a delight, if a bit on the short side.

Other additional attractions were pleasant to experience both unique and copies, the alien motchi balls are a must when visiting (subject to dietary guidelines).

For a variety of reasons I consider Tokyo Disney my favourite resort, even surpassing Californias and surpassing Orlando in a number of ways IMO. Would recommend.

I think it's very difficult to get all rides at Tokyo Disney to be honest, unless you are there at a cross over point. I was fortunate to have all the rides at both parks (aside from the under construction space mountain) and IMO Disney Sea is the finest theme park out there. Just thinking about Sinbad or Journey to the Centre of the Earth has me looking up flight prices..
