February 5, 200817 yr Author comment_20860 That. Kids, dont drop your iPods/iPhones. It fell from my top pocket, to concrete, then someone walked on it.
February 5, 200817 yr comment_20866 I can throw my dads phone on the ground as much as I like. It never breaks. Ever. Even when I throw it in, water, concrete, on rocks, mud etc. Tis Fun .
February 5, 200817 yr comment_20868 Ive dropped my iphone so many times, not a scratch on it!Durable stuff (;
February 5, 200817 yr comment_20869 I bet it wouldnt survive flying out of pocket on to samurais platform
February 5, 200817 yr comment_20871 I've the same prob as phill... apple seriously need to work on the screens a bit more.
February 5, 200817 yr comment_20872 Not very good really, things like phones/mp3 players should be designed to be dropped tbh as there bound to be at one stage.
February 5, 200817 yr comment_20874 Apple should intend on it though, its easy to drop somthing and it be trod on, when your spending so much money it should be more durable to every day life.
February 5, 200817 yr comment_20875 Dropping my iphone isnt an everyday occurrence. I could drop my TV and it would smash. Does that mean its poorly built? No. iPods & iPhones have to be made of certain materials to enable the touch technology, it may not be as strong but if I was to step on most phones I could garentee they'd break &/or lose functions.
February 5, 200817 yr comment_20876 Do you walk around with your TV in your hand, on the bus? And I even dropped my phone when I got out of car onto concrete, its fine just a little mark, I'm sure it would survive if I stepped on it accidentally.
February 5, 200817 yr comment_20877 No, but I use it everyday, like you said (:My iphone has been dropped several times, and, still not a mark on it!Its not Apple poorly manufacturing their products, far from it. At the end of the day, its down to carelessness of the user. Apple shouldn't hold any responsibility if the customers faults, after all, Apple have done enough (well, as much as I'd expect a company to do) such as; scratch resistant screen, ipod socks etc.
February 5, 200817 yr comment_20878 My ipod is scached to hell and its gone through nothing more than id expect a portable music player.
February 5, 200817 yr comment_20879 Your ipod dosent feature a scratch resistant materials unless its a touch!I'd like to see all portable music players feature a video screen with as many features as the ipod (;
February 5, 200817 yr comment_20880 I thought the ipod nano was.. I know they had 1000's of complaints because screens were cracking very easily but I thought they improved that..
February 5, 200817 yr comment_20881 My nano is already scratched to bits, and I try and keep it in perfect condition. IMO, I have broken phones by them literally slipping out of my hand and hitting the floor with little force from half a metre from the floor, but I suppose it was a Nokia phone. I agree with Charlie about dropping etc, but there touch and Iphone has got to have some kind of protection built in to stop it from problems such as this that Johnny and Phill have experienced, sounds like pisspoor manufacturing tbh.
February 5, 200817 yr comment_20882 Products should be made durable; they should automatically presume someone will drop it one day in its life. You'd want it to work afterwards. I wonder whether the Air will smash to pieces if I accidentally knock it off a table now. Seb is right, poor manufacturing.
February 5, 200817 yr comment_20883 This iPhone lasted then my Samsung D900. If I feel it’s more durable and isn’t worth the stick it gets, anything wrong with putting my point across?
February 5, 200817 yr Author comment_20886 Uhoh, what's this...NO! Could it be!?!?Yes! ITS A JEPG!!11But seriously I did drop my iPod Today, from my top pocket, onto concrete, and it got walked on, and all that happned was a dent in the corner.I wanted to see how much 'stick' apple would get for it, turns out a lot. People, to me at least, are always quick to pick holes with apple stuff. But just goes to show, these things are built like little tanks. In related news, grab your new 30GB and 16GB iPods/ iPhones today!SUCKAS!!
February 5, 200817 yr comment_20887 Lol so your portable mp3 player is able to survive every day use and its now built like a tank?
February 5, 200817 yr Author comment_20888 Dropping it from about 5ft, onto concrete, then being stomped on, yeah. I don't know many other things made of glass can do that. I drop my iPod every day, admititley not onto concrete, but it does get dropped. I also, as an example to friends, got my keys out and dug into the display to prove it wouldn't scratch, and it didn't. Apple with their new products have taken durability into mind, all new ipods use glass and metals, rather than plastics. (BTW the broken LCD is a great prank on friends computers, set it as their screensaver, then record them freaking out, ahhh)
February 5, 200817 yr comment_20889 Oh how incredibly funny Phill, in fact would someone mind calling me an ambulance, seriously guys, my sides just split and there's guts and interestines all over the floor.What did it achieve, myself and Marc didn't pick holes in it, we simply said that if this has happened to two people within the small group of people on one forum, then there may be evidence to show there is fault's.What did posting the original photo achieve Phill? Me thinks none.
February 5, 200817 yr Author comment_20890 I wasn't on about you, I was on about people in general. And it was a prank. (which kinda, did maybe really happen)
