Or do you feel that studying gives you a better option for the future.With rising tuition fee's etc. it's an interesting topic.I understand that obviously it depends on what you would like to do (jobwise) but yeah, general answers.
March 2, 201114 yr comment_109750 Big question ! Depending on what you want to do ? Either go for an apprentership with one day a week at college I did that and quite good gives you a break from work a bit and get to meet more mates .I'm a fully trained boat builder mate and did college for 5 yrs and had work placement . But first year was health and safety the most boring thing ever . But you've just hot to keep your head up and look over the hill to the down hill section at the other side. Or just go to college and learn what you want to learn but I wouldnt but depends what you want to do mate . Fire me questions I'f you like about college I'm here to help
March 2, 201114 yr comment_109751 Yeah interesting one. Though its not just two options, like Dano mentioned.I'm gonna be starting Open University I think. I love working, and far prefer it to full-time education, however I want to do this as it'd be refreshing and help me.Plus, the jobs I always do now, I qualify for full grant, and the remainder fees will be paid for by working.. so win for getting a degree with no debt.So yeah, mixture for me I think!
March 2, 201114 yr Author comment_109755 I studied in College and I am one of the people who just found it wasn't for me. I slogged out some really boring jobs to get the money to pay for rent etc. But it was always better than college. And there was of course, and still is the choice to go back to study later on in life if I feel that is something I wish to do. I don't see the point in further education unless you are certain on what you would like to do, and you know that it needs a degree or the relevant qualifications (ie, doctor).
March 2, 201114 yr comment_109758 Personally, education. It depends on what interests you I guess. I totally understand that some people want to get out of education ASAP because of what they like. But for me, I'm more interested in Maths, and the best way for me to explore that is through education. In my eyes though, I think if all you've got is GCSEs (ie - no apprenticeships, for NVQs (or whatever they're called), no A-Levels, no specialist training, etc.), then there's not much left to do unless you're highly talented. But that's just the way I see it I spose...

March 2, 201114 yr comment_109774 Education is horrible, I dislike it. But it is difficult to go any other way in this country. Too many people go to university and this has consequently eroded the value of a degree. This so called 'grade inflation' has meant that 40% of people now have degree which means that jobs which don't really require people with degrees - pathetic and mainly due to Blair and his blasted Labour Government. Makes me very angry.
