Not heard the queue work the couple times I've been on but the exit Tvs have worked when I've been there - are the Tvs at the bottom of the lift working now?

I think some launch coasters spray water on the launch its self to help cool it down? Could be wrong though!

Thorpe Park have announced on facebook that Angry Birds 4D, The Dodgems, Stealth, Nemesis Inferno and Teacups will all be open between 18:00 for 20:00 this Saturday for annual pass holders. Pretty decent of them!

See you say its outdated but as Peaj said theres a planned movie/TV Series in the pipeline, its hard to tell what potential this IP has - I'm sure the same arguments were said about Saw when that was built and its done well for them so I dont see why Angry Birds cant too.

Not heard of this before due to hot weather - I remember hearing something like this at fright nights a few years back there was something a bit wrong causing it to take longer to "re-charge" between launches but seeing as that was at Fright Nights I doubt that was related to weather.

^thats true - Mack have built some awesome looking rides recently and would think they would be a consideration for the next coaster.

Have said it before but would love to see a Mavericks type ride at thorpe, fast, fun and filled with airtime but not overly intense looking too.

To be fair what one person loves another hates, thorpe will never be able to please everyone unfortunately. Am looking forward to Saturday I think this is the sort of area the parks crying out for and will IMO fill a big gap in their market.

Just need to make sure your friend knows Stealth makes 1000's of launches - the chances of hitting a bird are so so slim, if anything theres less chance as your going faster! Have a great time

I think a big difference with angry birds land is that usually we wouldn't see updates so regularly and in so much detail and there are times when the unfinished product hasn't looked great. The park do care about how the park looks, that's clear from the recent effort we've seen from them trying to fix effects which have been broken since the Tussauds era (Inferno mist / Colossus pit) and I've no doubt when Angry Birds Land opens it will look good and whilst maybe not the area enthusiasts want, I think it will look good and most importantly the general public will like it, and I think saws a good example, disliked by a majority of enthusiasts but enjoyed by the vast majority of the general public which ultimately as a business is the most important thing.

The area isn't finished, you defended towers when people complained about their new area stating it wasn't finished and neither is Angry Birds land.

Yep it has been quite often used as a stage for Fright Nights back when they had the Circus of Horrors. Also Pre-Pirates 4D the building used to be the Palladium Theatre which had live stage shows. Phill may remember this!

Thought would mention the Colossus station music has been fixed - the loud ambience plays with the automatic dispatch announcement with the whispering playing - it sounds great in there!

I think saying its in a dire state is a bit extreme, Colossus is much much smoother now than it has been and IMO rides very well. The track don't look good and could do with a repaint I agree with that, but its hardly in a "dire state".

Love the look at this, the plans seem far more detailed than the plans we saw before, looks really promising. Its clear if you read through the plans the park have never really given up on the idea of this and the Crash Pad / Shark Hotel were only ever there to fill a gap till they were ready to install the full hotel.

Probably not, Thorpe would ask the manufacture for so many Red / Green cars etc, Thorpe would add the vinals when everything is finished so they are not damaged You can see there here! As you said in CBeebies land topic in reply to criticism, its still unfinished.... Plenty can happen in a week.

^Well I say land - it does say 4D experience so maybe its just showing of the movie?
