omg is it just me or are you just one of those people that think you're better than everyone else, I bet you know hardly anything about lighting!

I currently work in a bakery, which is amazing, I have also been offered a job in a theatre when I'm 16, do bits and bobs in theatres all the time, wanna be a lighting technician when I'm older, doin work experience in the ambasadors in woking,(theatres / cinemas)prince charles visiting tommorow

our school is a language college aswell but with the smallest language department than a non language school

I'm not getting violent so dont try and be violent to me. how do you explain that this has happened me to me and other people. we arnt all lying so whats the explanation? you think we are all lying?

it definatly was samurai, unless it swaped places while I was on it and failed to notice.unless u have 24/7 cctv on samurai conected to your t.v I suggest u listen and dont try and get all experticious on me. (if that word exists) lol. listen to other people look a few posts above. other people have been on with less that 15. I think it may also to do with running cost in ratio with people

yeah I no that but what I'm saying is why dont they put dummies on to simulate people to actualy see what would happen in an actual guest situation. if they test it empty it may not come out with the same outcome. if u get what I'm saying. not sure if I worded it properly

so then why when samurai is closed do they test it with no people. doesnt this mean thatif it does get stuck then they will close it for longer. I have never seen samurai with dummies in it either which relates to the first sentence of this post

well I got into it when I done street dancing when I was around I would say 10. I went to different equipment shops and my facination for lights grew. I now have sequencers, strobes, even scanners ( lights with moving mirrors) with gobos (metal or glass disc with patter cut out). I then went and done a course on technical theatre at the end of 2005. I also done a large amount of research and know alot about lights, effects and the different operationg systems e.g dmx, manual. I have done all but 1 major production at my school and have been working at a Theatre for over a year. I am acurrently seeking apprenticship from bbc, itv, channel 4 e.c.t. If you want to get involved I suggest you visit your local theatre and ask if there is any technical workshops / courses. however this may cost up to ?100 in some cases. if they offer this to you. ask if you could do volentry work experince that also is a great way to learn. I hope this helped and I also appologise about this essay I have writen on a simple question.

seb you are right and wrong. you are right because yes, strobe lights over 100 watts needs licencing if it is to be used in public. in areas such as schools, theatres, t.v studios e.c.t you don't need a licence, all that needs to be done is a risk assesment.

going back a few pages sheepie said something about X going next year. I heard it might be going in 2013
