Lol at hollyoaks and the dancing McQueens. lol.
  2. *sigh* technology, like us fleshy beings, are seceptable to illage. Maybe not head banging and the flu but Spam-bots, bugs and general brokeness, which are all equally as crap. The maintenance team - well phill - is at hand and will do his upmost to save the day because he's our very own Thorpe Park superhero. we're lucky peeps. Please tell us any pooy stuff lying around the site so we can log it and get right on it. Post ... and if you really want to... discuss here. =]
  3. So here the deal - you've seen and used the site, but we wanna know what you think. At the end of the daym without you guys theres no telling how we can improve in the future.Basically we need to know what you think, give us idea, tell us what to do better, what we've done great and frankly telling us about all the little nooks and crannys we dont even know exist!Go nut. Oh but one thing - be helpful. 'tis crap' is about as helpful and a glass hammer and isnt really appreciated by the team. Constructive critique is the fashion. On that note, grubs up!

Theres no right or wrong answer. Well there is - anyone who likes the fast food rockers has some musical issues. Opinions, respect other peoples (unless its the fast food rockers, then you can go nuts). For me its a mixture. Mainly because I listen to all styles minus Heavy Metal, R&B and Rap (some exceptions). Hows about you?
  6. It would't be too soon if the rides at Thorpe had more substance to them. Lets face it, apart from queueing up you wouldn't stay in any one area for long. Where as id the rides had more to look at, explore and discover then people could stay in canada creek for hours at a time and really feel that they can't make it around the whole park to see everything. This is what phantasialand does. Phantasialand is smaller, has less huge rides yet out of the 3 times I have been I have never been able to go around the whole park (most queues were only 30-40 mins max for big rides and they had no break downs). Theres just too much to do and see and experience. You dont wanna miss a glimpse, I promise you.
  7. I've been 'into' Thorpe Park since I was a lil' knipper - I remember going to Thorpe Park and having an amazing experience and I just got really into it. In the last four years I have become a major enthusiast - its probably took that long to finally become a budding fanboy because theme parks isnt really a promoted intrest back then; if your not into music, sport, films or art then there isnt alot of encouragement out there. Especially in my family. To begin withm it was all about learning the behind the scenes. Now I am not so intrested in the little things - of course I am intrested in major changes and new attractions and that lot, but I know quite abit and the magic has gone so I have stopped. Now I am more into the pschycological and design side of the rides - with particular emphasis on themeing, story, ride intergration, music, lighting and special effects. This is what I am focusing my alevel studies on and my future career hopefully. The emotional effect all this has on a person is humoungous, whether people are aware of it or not. This is why Phantasialand, Efteling and Univeral have become more of an intrest for me recently. ride types also play a huge part in this so I am a keen intrest for that - and theme park events like fright nights again have a hige emotional effect on people. This can sound abit sick but I love have some kind of emotional domination over people, not personally but I would love to develop a ride that does, like Mystery Castle. I'm sure some of you know what I mean. But yeh theme parks and coaster around the world. and thats why I am here and on SP - and by doing so I have made some of the closest friends I have so its all GOOD! So yeah, all things theme park is me. Thorpe Park has seroiusly disappointed me recently. I don't have as much intrest in going there anymore - just improving it. Like sheepie said, flying fish is a prime example. Track, behind gates on a slab of concrete. The managed to stretch the budget to get some grass. Its an insult to every young child out there with an imagination, its an insult to the old fish, its an insult to put the origional themeing plan on their website and make it compeletly differnt and its an insults to class tussauds second to Disney when they produce crap like that. Look at Talocan at phantasialand you can see what can be done with some passion and effort. Dont get me wrong I do love Thorpe Park but in a very unconventional and unusual way.I do look forward to Fright Nights I must say.My life is great, but I am a very deep person and day dream alot and I love to be thrown out of the norm and escape into a whole new world. This is what Tidal Wave did for me as a child (hence my thorpe obsession) and it sticks. Your childhood is an important part of your life and going to a place like phantasialand create good, family memories which will last you a life time.

X:/ is looking brilliant. I must say - despite the budget pre-ride video, they have pulled it off well. Loving the new audio and lighting and the new air cool system works nicely aswell. Its simple but effective - I felt like I came out of an actuall ride as opposed to a forgotten mess of corriors and track.Great job and considering that the lack of major funding and a quite inflexible building its very good. and the last block section actually scared me big time, the inside of the ride is creepy.
  9. I love how the park map shows the gas ball with out the flame yet the shadow of the gas ball still has the flame. Invisible flames anyone?
  10. Some one noticed when we was last at the park and showed me that they had replaced the pipes underneath the gas ball, although I don't know if that means anything. But I always thought the pipes were above ground and not underneath so its possible they may return. But who knows, it would be a miracle.

Its not all about records though. Rush is just as fun (or not, depending on your opinion) now as it was when it had its 'record'. It wasn't much or a record anyway - just because it had a larger capacity.
