Orlando travel advice!
I'm flying out on Monday. Staying at Lake Buena Vista Resort. They offer free transfer buses to the parks although Uber is uber cheap (pun intended??). The apartment cost me £1800 for two weeks. Disney / Universal tickets were something like £600 for 14 days. Flights were £1100 (fly drive for two) and we're taking £2500 spending money for two. Not doing Seaworld or Busch, or Discovery Cove, although we're having a day at Clearwater and also seeing Muse whilst we're out there. It's perfectly doable on a smaller budget and I recommend joining It's Orlando Time on Facebook for great hints, tips and deals. Forgot to add, we've got one night at Art Of Animation too as we found a cracking deal a few days ago and couldn't resist. Something like £110 for the night reduced from almost £400!

2014 Season
Sticking on the flooding subject...... https://twitter.com/bbcsurrey/status/433152786231209984 @BBCSurrey: Local volunteer in Laleham Reach: "Thorpe Park has opened and has been a response centre and mustering point. They have been brilliant."

Merlin Entertainments
Oooh £125 hmm I wanted a premium pass but do you think I would be able to get one any cheaper than that? What is this eBay thing about?

Merlin Entertainments
Hoping they do a decent offer this year similar to last year. Really want an AP but cannot afford not justify spending so much on a pass. What was it last, under £100? That's about my limit!

Brilliant joke, you're on fire.

Chessington Fire 21/12/13
Confirmed today as a heater that caused the fire. Oh dear!

Chessington Fire 21/12/13
Those heaters aren't great and I would say there's a good chance they were the cause. Am I right in saying they caused the monorail fire at Alton?

Feedback of the Forums
Excellent, I'll have a look. Shame cos I love the layout and the overall look of the mobile website.

This has probably been mentioned many times before but is there any way to select a page number on the mobile site without having to click next page every time?

Port Aventura
You can also take the train from El Prat to Portaventura via Sants. Takes roughly 90 mins and is relatively cheap. If you fly with BA you have to take the shuttle bus from the terminal to the train station which is free of charge but adds 15 mins to your journey.

Park Operations
Is this offer done on a daily basis as if it is, I will take them up on that and get me an annual pass.

The Future Of Catering
When I worked there, I always used to think about what changes I would make and how I would make them. Little things used to grate at me. Before we even look at the future, they need to fix what they already have. Now mind, aside from a few donuts the other day, I've not eaten at Thorpe since 09 and so I don't know if things have improved, but I used to feel the product quality wasn't up to standard. Frozen goods instead of fresh goods, people paying a lot of money in the likes of BBQ for food that is cooked earlier and just kept hot for an hour or so, warm drinks etc. Speaking of warm drinks, my kiosk was always like an oven so on a busy summers day, the coca cola machine would be red hot. As a result, the drinks would be hot. I didn't want to serve them. It's not fair that someone pays £2 for a warm drink. As for the future, it's clear which direction they are heading but perhaps think outside the box. Maybe, seeing as Amity is an American town, they should have an American themed restaurant that sells pancakes and corn dogs and stonebaked pizza! That's what they should have done with the Diner. Plus, Waffles & Ices it takes no time at all to make fresh waffles in front of the customer. Don't insult me by trying to pass off some frozen block of crap as a waffle. Not even melted ice creams makes those things soft, they're literally rock hard.

I will be turning up at 4.30; someone please remind me, when I get there, where do I need to go? Also, do we get free premium parking?

Port Aventura
Doesn't seem to have been discussed but the water park is getting a massive investment this year and should be reopening around May. I can't wait, I'm visiting Barcelona and Tarragona this June and haven't been to PA for a number of years. Anyone from here go last season?
