Woo love Up! Although I must be the only person that didn't cry at the beginning It's all about The Snowman tbh! Every Christmas I have to watch it Sad ending though, especially with the music. My brother can't watch the ending to this day, after it made him cry as a child!

I do love the benefits system in this country. I made a claim for ESA a few weeks ago. Granted it takes a while to process but it's never taken this long and without the money, I'm unable to pay my mum. So I phone up last week and fail the security part but am told this may be because they're still processing the claim. Phoned again today, same problem. Am told to ring twice more because if it happens 3 times in one day, they get the office dealing with my claim to call me. On the second call they suggest giving my current address on the "Previous address" question as other people have found this works. Third time I call I try this and it works. Brilliant, you have to know your current address on a previous address question. Some security eh!! They look into my claim - or lack of! They tell me there is no record of any claim being made and to ring the new claims line to see if they know anything. At this point I'm pretty peed off and worried because we really can't afford to wait any longer for this money, backdating it to when I first phoned, I'm owed nearly £200 and it's had a knock-on effect on everything. Ring the new claims line, get told by a nice man that there IS records of a claim and that my form and medical certificate were received on 22nd November and they put a note on the system. So relief for now, as they have actually received everything! I was so tired and weary I didn't even think to be more assertive or anything. But I'll ring again tomorrow to see if anything has changed and explain what effect this is having on all of us. It may work, as when my mum claimed before and it took ages, once she told them we couldn't buy food or pay the rent they miraculously sped it up Might get her to speak to them on my behalf, she can be very scary and persuasive when need be! My voice doesn't quite have that effect! So yeah, so far this month has been the worst of the year. No boyfriend, no hours at work until the Christmas hols, no money, battling with depression. Anyone who tells me to cheer up and look on the bright side will get a slap!

No both Liam and Cookie are wrong! Number 3 is the lie! I didn't like people near me and didn't know how to tell them so I just pushed them over without realising it was wrong. When they pushed me back, I didn't understand why so told people I was being bullied. In year 3, well I have barely any recollection of it but apparently I laid on the floor crying and screaming after being so upset or angry over something. I seem to remember having a lot of issues in that year actually My teacher in year 10 was a bitch and T-Shapes could kiss my sweet arse, but I didn't bunk off because of not doing it. Just got in trouble and an angry letter to my mum. I nominate LIAM!

OH MY GOD I DIDN'T EVEN NOTICE THAT Argh! I know you go to Winchester! D'oh! Reminds me of the constant mistakes I made at school and in exams by not reading question properly. So on that subject: 1) I pushed people over on my first day of school because I didn't want them coming near me, then told the teachers and my parents I was being bullied. 2) I had a huge meltdown/tantrum in year 3 and lay on the floor screaming and crying. 3) I bunked a maths lesson in year 10 as I'd not done my T-Shapes coursework and the teacher was a scary bitch.

  18. "It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live." "It is our choices, Harry, that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities." "Humans have a knack for choosing precisely the things that are worst for them." Albus Dumbledore. Legend. "It means your future hasn't been written yet. No one's has. Your future is whatever you make it. So make it a good one, both of you." "If you put your mind to it, you can accomplish anything." Doc, Back To The Future. Although he never actually says that second quote in the films, Marty quotes him saying it "Was I bored? No, I wasn't f*ckin' bored. I'm never bored. That's the trouble with everybody - you're all so bored. You've had nature explained to you and you're bored with it, you've had the living body explained to you and you're bored with it, you've had the universe explained to you and you're bored with it, so now you want cheap thrills and, like, plenty of them, and it doesn't matter how tawdry or vacuous they are as long as it's new as long as it's new as long as it flashes and f*ckin' bleeps in forty f*ckin' different colors. So whatever else you can say about me, I'm not f*ckin' bored!" Jonny, the main character in a Mike Leigh film called Naked. Apologies for the swearing by the way! Really do love that quote, there's a lot of great quotes from that film actually. What I also find quite amusing is that this film was in 1993, where gadgets and technology were nothing compared to now! I wonder what he would make of this day and age. Particularly the "as long as it's new" thing. The way the actor (the amazing David Thewlis) delivers that speech too, the look on his face while he says it! Great performance in general actually, such an underrated British actor.
  19. Om nom nom. So right now my mum is cooking one of my favourite meals (chicken casserole) and it gave me the idea for this topic! As the title suggests this does not include restaurants, take-aways or things like McDonalds *cough*Marc*cough* as that would be unoriginal (and we have a seperate topic for it) However it doesn't have to be something that's cooked from scratch; you could say chicken and chips, without having killed, plucked and gutted your own bird or made your own chips My favourite is definitely tuna napolitana Pasta has always been my favourite food for as long as I can remember and this just yummy! My mum admittedly doesn't make the sauce from scratch (she hates cooking!), but it tastes lush. You'll never see me eat anything else as fast! Oh and I LOVE tuna <3 I sometimes just eat it out of the can as a snack Also love spaghetti bolognese and chicken casserole. Can't wait to eat now! And it's horrible weather out which makes it all cosy inside

So basically my brother has ruined my fun, happy evening in a space of about half an hour. First he moans that he can hear me on Skype, claiming that I sound "immature" and that this worries him, and also that he worries about the ages of people I speak to. Well for the record, many of them are my age or only a few years younger, and my "immaturity" (I mean really, define "Immature") is something I've always had, nothing to do with who I speak to, which he knows, he just has nothing better to do these days than criticise me and mum while he sits on his bored, unemployed arse. And besdies, at least I am actually conversing with people who I share interests with, which is more than I can say for him! Total hermit who revolves his life around TV. Harsh but true I'm afraid! (Yet he seems to think that the fact that he's been to uni etc makes him better than me...he has so much to learn, poor thing.) Oh and I keep my bedroom door properly closed, whereas he likes to sit with his open to avoid feeling claustrophobic. So how can he expect peace and quiet? It's not like I shout down the mic to everyone, I'm really shy at talking ffs! Secondly, I later on trip and go flying over the hoover which he very carefully placed (NOT!) at the botrtom of the stairs. Bearing in mind it was pitch black, we cannot turn on the downstairs hallway light from upstairs, and even with the upstairs landing light on, you cannot see the bottom of the stairs/hallway. And you wouldn't expect anything large to be there to trip you up...how wrong I was. I flew over the hoover, my head narrowly missing the wall, my plate dropping to the floor and luckily not smashing into my hand/arm, whacked my knee on the hard floor and grazed/carept-burned my wrist. Yes, it could have been far worse; but 1) He shouldn't have left it there, not only is the bottom of the stairs a stupid place, but our hallway is very cramped so even in broad daylight it's a struggle to avoid tripping over it, let alone at night! and 2) Yes it could have been worse - I could have smashed my head OR my mum could have tripped up and broken some bones, as she has osteoporosis. Fantastic. You know what the best thing was? His blasé reaction to it all. Didn't even apologise. Just moaned about the noise etc it caused, I'm not even joking. Quite often I soon look back at these events and laugh, but somehow I don't think I will be with this. Oh and incase anyone is wonrdering; he is older than me. He is 25. Compared to other 25 year olds I know, he is so backwards he may as well become a time machine. So yeah, I'm now in a foul, tearful mood (that fall really shook me up for some reason) after a really fun night. While I'm at it, thank you to Mr Fish for providing your livestream of music and linking it into Chat, it's been great fun! Especially some of us going "live" on it via Skype and enabling those also in Chat to listen in and join in, send requests etc! Let's hope tomorrow night goes a lot better! Apologies for yet another rant about my family but argh! It's like, even when I shut myself away in my room to avoid my family and our arguments, I still get dragged into something!
