    Jobs..

Woop! And to follow on from my last post...I am now a Cat Cuddler at the National Cat Adoption Centre in Chelwood Gate! I love it, and it's perfect: it's not too quiet but not too busy; the staff/volunteers are lovely but I don't have to be chatty and stuff because you don't spend a great deal of time with them - but I spend enough to gradually get to know them, at a comfortable level; it's something I've always been passionate and knowledgable about, which gives me confidence; I can come and go when I want, so no pressure (although this is more of a bonus rather than something that helps me personally - I'd go every day if I had the money). And yes, I spend the time there stroking, cuddling and making a fuss of the lovely cats. :(If I want I can help out more, which I will definitely ask about next time I go. They also have Cat Care Assistants, which are paid jobs, but I don't think they have anything going at the moment. But to be honest, I love what I'm doing, it makes me happy...so I'm not worrying and thinking "Oh I'm not earning money" because I'm happy enough. I don't really consider myself unemployed anymore either, in a way. I'm doing something so I feel better about myself. And voluntary work like this is often how people start a career working with animals, which is something I'd love to do.

One of my friends from junior school is running apparently, I'll have to look out for him
  10. Just thought - my great uncle appeared in some computer game (not a well-known one, I don't think) and he sung at the end (he's a good opera singer)! And he's done lots of acting. Mainly on stage I think, though.

Haribo Goldbears NOM!Indian take-away for dinner. And a banana split for dessert, even got marshmallows to go on top! :DNot sure how I'm going to serve it up though, we haven't got a long enough dish! Should be fun :DEDIT: I want an iPhone, plan on getting a 3GS when I get some money I have been waiting months for (long story)...now there's a new one? So I'll look old if I get the 3GS! But it'll be cheaper when the new one is released and I like the 3GS soooo...I dunno, I've confused myself! I'll just do whatever happens when the moment comes, I should know after being alive for 20 years that I buy on impulse and planning ahead rarely works!
  12. How did you meet David Tennant? I could have seen him (but not actually met, like said hello etc) at the Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix premiere, if I'd been standing in a different place, grr! I didn't know he was gonna be there either! But yeah, I did go to that premiere so I saw Dan Radcliffe and all that lot! But I didn't see many of the adult actors, and I really wanted to. I'd be more excited about seeing them than the young actors, they're more interesting and they're awesome. :DIt all went a bit wrong tbh...firstly I was on my own, secondly, back then I had a crappy digital camera so the pictures are mostly blurry (although everyone pushes you so it's hard anyway). But the worst thing is that where I was originally, would have been by where they all start arriving. There was some guy with a plan of the square and he told me where the actors would all go. Where I was, was fine, but I thought I would try my luck in a different spot...and it turned out to be rubbish. And, at the last minute, they decided to make a small area for wheelchair users...which was right in front of the fencing I was by, so the actors weren't able to come by and sign books etc. Everyone was pretty angry. :DNext time I go (I will go to another one because I want another go getting it right lol), I will plan ahead, and stay where I know will be a good spot! And I have my awesome camera which has a hand-shaking feature to prevent pics being blurry! Just wish I knew someone who'd go with me. :)Oh yeah, Lizo from Newsround was there too!Judi Dench lives in Outwood, which is down the road from me, my mum saw her in Waitrose. My mum has seen quite a few people when she worked at Gatwick. When she saw Tom Baker he said to her "Hello again" even though she hadn't seen him before. Stange! And she briefly appeared on the old holiday program, "Wish You Were Here", they went to Gatwick and she was there, working! And me, mum, dad and brother appeared in the background of a Virgin Atlantic holiday brochure, when we were in Antigua! And I've watched the filming of My Family, bit random but hey, someone had tickets!I appeared on the news when we got our GCSE results, they filmed at the school and me and my friends were in the background, briefly. You could see me pointing at the results and jabbering on about something. But apart from those little things, I've not actually met anyone/spoken to them You're all so lucky! How d'you come across these people?!

Grr...I love how it's 10 to 8 in the evening, and 15c Sunshine :DNo idea what happened to Firefox It's done it once before...meh.
  17. The bus is bloody awful - thank goodness for Marc! Otherwise I'd have that ordeal every time I visit! And can you imagine if it crashed? No chance of survival - you'd be crushed to a chavvy death. :)One day someone will be injured from them overloading it, and they'll hopefully be compensated! And £3 is too much, and I do not wish to be shot either! Even when I had had a job I found it ridiculous, everyone does...I agree about AP holders, they should get discount like staff do.The chavs on the bus go "Forpe Park bruv! Forpe Park bruv! Forpe Park bruv!" The chavs on the bus go "Forpe Park bruv!" allll daaay loooong...

I'm now a volunteer for the Cats Protection National Cat Adoption Centre! :P :DJoined today, as a Cat Cuddler As the name suggests, you go in, and make fuss of the cats! You can come in whenever which is handy as I have to get a train and bus there, and people that do volunteer work tend to be nice people, so I don't have to worry about what people I will be working with, bitching, gossiping, and all that. It's perfect, and after today, I don't care that it's not paid work, it's worth it for the experience, I enjoy doing it, and it's not stressful like working is.And the longer I'm there, I'll get to do more to help them out!The cats are all gorgeous! That's the only problem, I wanna take them all home!

    Jobs..

I may have got myself some voluntary work :PI've been meaning to get in touch with the Cats Protection League for ages, then I put it off cos of Poppy being put down (for obvious reasons!).I phoned my local branch earlier today and the lady said they were in touch with the Horsham branch, and they need admin/someone to help with their website. Perfect! 1) I get to help them out, 2) I have a knack computers/IT and I enjoy it. They'll call me back within a week or so, hopefully it'll be a yes. The lady goes "We just need someone who isn't afraid of computers, a lot of people are these days!" :PPlus I'm definitely going to contact the National Centre in Chelwood Gate, as I found out it is easier to get to via public transport than I thought, only a 5-10 minute bus from Haywards Heath station, I thought it would be miles away! Hopefully they still need cat-cuddlers :P
  21. Yeah, it's only hooped earrings and stuff like that, I doubt studs are gonna get caught on something and rip people's ears off
