  1. I HATE to throw it out there, and I'd LOVE to be proven wrong; but the thought that they may be fixing such an effect, when Tidal Wave is pointless compared to it's new neighbour..I'd be VERY, VERY suprised that they would go back and fix such an awesome effect. Please Thorpe Park, show me that I'm wrong!
  2. I can't speak about the fire effect, but I do know that the park have been keen to fix the water effect beside that one, for ages.If they are making the effort as Heide Park are, for he huge fix toward Krake and it's theming then thats a good thing.Somehow knowing Thorpe, it's nothing more than a repaint! I'd LOVE to be shown otherwise, with such a huge fixed effect.
  3. Already been discussed in this topic
  4. I thought that I'd missed something with all those 'exclusive' interviews. :PMind you, as great an idea.. I can live without knowing what time people wake up to go to work. It was a rubbish interview anyway! On the other side of things, the interviews weren't really important to me, with so many fantastic weekly photo updates instead, nice work!
  5. Could have done with some feather details tbh, but still far superior than your average roller coaster train.
  6. Another view of the Wild Eagle trains, taken off their mini site. Looks great, but as already mentioned, a bit 'fake' and not as good as the Swarm. I do however, like these custom trains!
  7. Added these few bits and bobs earlier on Twitter, running through Ranger County, with the concept art of the re-theme AND relocation of A Drive in the Country, to Miss Hippos Fungle Safari.Concept art here of what will later become the Asylum and Inferno shopand a press shot showing off a newly re-themed Magic Mill, to Mr Rabbit's Tropical Travels, which would later become the Nemesis Inferno ride areaAlways nice to look back at some of these classic bits..
  8. Another nice Wing Rider train from Dollywood!
  9. Universal Orlando have just given us a load of info for their year ahead, with the new Mini Golf 9that looks fab), a new 'World of Color' Lagoon Show , Parade, upgrades to the Blueman Group show as well as Despicable Me and upgrade! The new animation is just WOW, great to see them 'plus' a ride that was already world class!
  10. I don't think so, no. You hit the brakes and then glide around to the left, to stop again and where this picture has been taken outside the station. You can see Treasure Island in the background and it clearly says THORPE PARK on the front of the train.
  11. UGHHHHHHH, Do they really need to push sales? It's already going to be horrid come Fastrack days. Thorpe will make a TON of money on this ride alone.Guest satisfaction for everyone else in the queue line however?
  12. A couple of updates from Heide Park (one laready mentioned by Sheepie), with Krake's re-theme and attraction poster for the new horror maze
  13. Here we Go.. The marketing hype continues
  14. Have you ever been to Drayton Manor?
  15. I think the idea would be as an 'exclusive' mode of transport for hotel guests, allowing them to skip admissions completly and maybe, even before park opening.
  16. Why?? Surely at least ensure that the tunnel is DARK again, no?
  17. If you've ridden Kraken, it's 90% exactly the same. Old school B&M zero G roll is just wow.
  18. A few more various construction pics can be found at the bottom of the page here:http://rideguidegroup.com/site/viewtopic.php?f=53&t=101&p=3042Whilst they're nothing we haven't really seen before, they are from the other side of the park.
  19. Space Mountain isn't really like racing through outer space. Star Tours is actually just a box shaking about.. Nothing ever happened that fateful night, inside the Hollywood Tower Hotel.Escapism is what theme parks are all about, so get on board!
  20. Blue Fires amazing last inversion really whips you out of your seat, this will be really floaty instead. Looks great though. As stated on the last page, here's that image showing off what looks like a little clearance issue..
  21. From the top of the lift to the brakes Raptor's running time is 00:40.4 seconds and The Swarm is 00:38.2.I didn't find Raptor overly short at all and besides, everyone in the UK are used to short roller coasters, aren't we?2 seconds difference? Seems perfectly acceptable to me. Plus the turn around on Raptor was fun (at the back), I'm sure this will too, as well as adding up those additional seconds of ride time.
  22. those of us who have been on Raptor DID say that it would stop there. Be it brief before it rolls around to stop again (dependig on speedy dispatch times), outside the station. Why anyone thought that it would continue speedily along that final turn is beyond me!
  23. Could we perhaps see the new gate map?? Probably a little early..
  24. Love the sound of the dogs under the train flapping about through the final inversion! Looks fantastic. For the first time sinse I was a little kid, Thorpe Park have me excited very much so, on their new toy.
