  1. As far as talk of Samurai, the Mondial thing was deffo on the cards, I'm unsure as to why it never happened. The re-theme was something they would have liked again, unsure why none of it happened!Fingers crossed for Stealth, see how it looks this weekend.
  2. Er, correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't you click into the Saw topic, if you wanted to know something about Saw? If you don't want to know about Saw, don't look at the topic.
  3. As far as spoilers. The forum has a lot of other active topics. This is the only one called Saw, I advise that this close to the game, if you don't want to know about Saw, stay well away from this thread! I think it's daft to have another topic on the same subject. Messy..It's only a week away..
  4. STALKER! Good luck with that, why on EARTH would he spoil the ride for you? It's open soon, go and experience it for yourself.. if you're brave enough.Am I the only one here who loves the image marketing are using (my avatar and the one used in the AP event banner)? I hope we get to see the full version of that somewhere, shame to see it cropped everywhere. The YouTube comments are interesting too, 35 rides? Ouch, reminds me of the Colossus advert out-take, where the guy starts throWIng up through the inlines!
  5. Anyone doubting the actors clearly haven't been on Revenge of the Mummy at Universal. Costumed staff members in character add so much. It's not all about making you jump, if even at all.
  6. REALLY? That's all they'll be doing is it? How you know this infomation is amazing.. Oh wait...
  7. How will the actors ruin your waiting experience?
  8. Will it? Can you explain to everyone how exactly it will work as I presume you know...I'd like to think you are not being negative before you've actually seen something in operation.
  9. Spiderman at IOA wouldn't fit in the Time Voyagers theatre! TV may not have re-rideability, but it's still cute for those not big enough for the big thrills, or guests who don't visit more than twice a year!
  10. I expect a lot of it is to keep Thorpe's line up of thrills all together and 1.4's
  11. True. I will just have paid on a busy day to get into another much less organised queue and feel let down by the entire fastrack system. I would also have missed all of the queue line theming everyone else was talking about..
  12. Stealth was fairly busy opening day, the weeks following-weekdays was walk on. Easter the ride will be very busy and will stay busy through the summer.Stay off Fastrack, remember the more you waste your money on that..the longer and slower all your friends will wait in the main queue!
  13. Nothing has been confirmed yet, however I expect Friday 13th to be the press day with ride it first winners and AP holders.
  14. I imagine opening day will consist of mainly, all the main internet forums. Southparks, Coasterforce, ATA, Towers Times, ECC and RCGB.. It will be busy and there will be an amazing park buzz, to go with the ride. Easter will nodoubt see and unleash the full power of a full queue line. Don't however, expect anything less than 45-60 mins opening day queue line.

    Logger's Leap

Number 9, don't be daft! "what would you replace Loggers with?" An S&S Piratge's Plunge, of course. No, really Loggers Leap is one of the very best log flumes around. The day that goes, will be a very sad one indeed.
  16. Ahh, but for a park to have re-introduced a family roller coaster, says to me they may be an island of thrills, but mum may not enjoy being launched 205ft into the sky. Relaxing places are nice, however space is limited. You also forgot the beach.

    Rush

That half arsed attraction, that is one of the most popular rides in the park? You have to remember Tussaud's put Rush in and is certainlly one of the best flat rides out there (plus Slammer, the two are totally unique to the UK and even the world when opened). From what we've seen of Merlin's additions they do like themed attractions, so here's hoping. However, I doubt they will back-track now when the future of the park is so bright. One final note: No space? I gather you haven't seen the two new islands behind Stealth then?
  18. Just to clear up, that large gate inbetween the main queue and the fastrack queue..Remember where the ride's workshop is..under the station. It will, well on the plans, be an access path for that.As far as following the constructrion of a new coaster for so long, as soon as it hits the brakes you can look forward to Thorpe's next wonder, all part of being an enthusiast and besides, it's all hype right? I think most of us will be there opening day.
  19. The Saw team will be pushed very hard as the managers will be watched and basiclly, all eyes will be on Saw so they will want it to run as smooth as possible. Throughputs are very hard to reach, although can be done. Examples of reaching them on Stealth ment staff would be frantic non stop and will be shouting and making guests take their seats, telling everyone over the PA to do this and that before boarding and a lot of the time it can cause chaos and more often than not, stop by a guest who doesn't understand. I for one don't believe in that, you can have a sense of urgency that still makes the atmosphere fun/scary for the guests and also ensures staff who are on the ride platform all day, aren't worked like slaves. It all depends on guests and believe me, the general public in large groups are stupid, add the fact they're nervous it makes for much slower loading times.I do expect they will motivate staff and do everything they can to reach their targets, more so as it's the rides opening year. Take that to mind when you are taking your seats, quick, quick quick and don't have your cameras ready for your onride videos. They will take them off you.

    Rush

I expect the park want Rush open as everyone else. The guys who work on Rush know her inside out and will be working hard to get the ride back in operation. In regards to not seeing anyone working on the ride; the PLC is capable of communicating with S&S for software downloads if they're needed and sometimes, the time difference between the UK and the USA can be a hassle. It's not always parts of the ride that can be seen, as mentioned already, the air dryers aren't in public view. However rest assured, Rush is a very popular ride and if it's remained on the website list, I expect it's due any day.
  21. Other Eurofighter roller coasters, do stop for loading. I imagine it would be quite difficult loading and checking 8 guests otherwise. From what I understand, the ride will have two cars loading at once and I expect to work like boarding Oblivion at Alton Towers.
  22. Remember, that little tunnel thing is drawn in concept, so won't be exactly like it. However from what we've seen, you can see it will still have the head chopper section at the bottom of the drop..metal blades, covered in blood... OUCH!

    Slammer

The troubles Slammer had in 2005 are well known a great deal more than Rush's summer and only serious 'event'.

    Oblivion

I thought the missing station TV was the one they were using during Scarefest with the Terror of the Towers preshow.

    Rush

You know what I mean! Slammer is a people eater and sadly as fast as staff can batch Slammer, it's a fussy ride to balance, made worse by guests who 'chicken out' meaning more balancing and looking for certain number of guests to do this. Then comes the communicating with the remote operator to ensure the other side of the boom is balanced..THEN comes the akward bar checking, there is no space for ride hosts to walk along and guests hardly ever help by placing their feet out of your way, pulling their shoulder harness down too tight and asking for it to be unlocked, which finally encourages 5-6 other guests who want the same! It certainlly is a slow loader, but the ride experience makes up for that.Rush on the other hand is a dream, so easy to load and check, even quickly unlocking bars if need be. The only hassle on Rush is that theme park 'thing' where everone has to take their shoes off.. ?? If they're loose fair enough as I have seen my fair share of shoes/glasses and false teeth fly off into the Zodiac ride area and ontop the CocaCola re-fill hut!
